I think the show is excellent. Please give the season a third because I love the cast and crew. The character are so funny. My favorite so far is Charlie and Pitbabe.

Pitbabe is the first Omegaverse bl series I've watched, and I'm amazed! Based on a novel, I watched the series first, then read the book. As a TV adaptation, it did an excellent job of setting up the storyline, keeping me hooked throughout. While there are a few differences from the book, I still loved it. Each episode captured my attention, and I found myself eagerly anticipating every Friday release. The character dynamics, plot twists, and emotional depth made "Pitbabe" an unforgettable experience for me!

Someone should watch this BL Omegaverse series because it offers a unique blend of romance, drama, and fantasy set in an intriguing world of alphas, enigmas and omegas. The captivating storyline keeps viewers emotionally invested, with dynamic characters and unexpected twists. It's a fresh take on relationships and power dynamics, appealing to both seasoned fans of the Omegaverse and newcomers alike. The series also excels in its emotional depth and chemistry between the leads, making it a must-watch for anyone looking for intense, heartfelt storytelling.

Visuals of leads does captivated me most.

I know that Thai names are funny and sometimes straight up laughable. But naming Babe for a man? That really got me laughing my butt off. But in all seriousness, funny names aside, this series started off slow paced and kinda boring. The story only starting to get more interesting halfway through the whole series. The first few episodes were kinda dull. I also didn't expect that this series is about people with special abilities. They call it senses, in this series. Kinda like X-Men, but far less cool. Why less cool, you asked? Well, they didn't cultivate this senses more. It's nothing more than an accessories to the plot. Had they used more of it, the story would've been much more interesting to watch. Too bad. Imagine having Professor X in a series only for him to use his mind reading ability once or twice the whole series. Kinda lame.

I've only watched the first three episodes at the time of this review, but I have to admit. This is shaping up to be a possibly really great show.

When it comes to Thai BLs, I have watched many of them, and they can be hit or miss. Like most dramas, they can become a bit formulaic and, in my experience, that's been no exception for Thai BLs, but Pit Babe has got me hooked and eagerly awaiting the next episode each week. It has that feel of what's expected and comfortable, but also gives a breath of something fresh and new.

There's a lot to be appreciated about the show in just the first three episodes, although that Thai BL angsty drama is ever-present, the storyline and execution of the premise has thus far been really well played out.

Storylines set in the omegaverse have always been only a fictional premise that I have read about, but never seen in a show. Pit Babe is actually delving into this incredible fictional universe, even though it's only just dipped its toes into it so far, it's still really fun to see this fantasy idea played out on screen.

I've found myself interested in the side characters and their arcs just as mush as that of the leads, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it all goes. Great job so far with the acting and writing, I really am enjoying it.

It's yet to be seen if the rigors of the Thai BL storyline conformity will set in, but so far, I'm liking it and looking forward to more.

Edit: now that the show is done and over, I am left wanting a bit. I will say the show was good, but not necessarily great. However, it kept me tuned in every week, so for that I will give Pit Babe my respect and love. Regardless of what it was lacking, it still kept me entertained.

The stakes never feel real-Babe's "reckless" driving lacks consequences, and Charlie's "mysterious past" is so thinly written that its eventual reveal lands with a shrug rather than a gasp. The script relies heavily on tired tropes (bad boy with daddy issues, brooding love interest with a secret) without adding depth or originality. Even the racing scenes, which should be the show's highlight, are often underwhelming, relying on quick cuts and engine noises to fake intensity rather than delivering truly gripping choreography.

### **Chemistry? More Like Forced Combustion** Pavel and Pon are undeniably attractive, but their chemistry feels manufactured rather than organic. Babe's arrogance borders on insufferable, making it hard to root for him, while Charlie's stoic demeanor comes off as wooden rather than enigmatic. Their romantic moments-especially the much-hyped intimate scenes-feel performative, as if the actors are ticking off a checklist of "BL fan service" rather than embodying a believable relationship. The lack of emotional buildup makes their connection feel shallow, reducing what should be a passionate love story to a series of aesthetically pleasing but empty encounters.

### **Wasted Potential in Side Characters** The supporting cast is criminally underused. Rival racers and teammates are reduced to cardboard cutouts, existing only to prop up the main couple's drama. Even when intriguing subplots are hinted at (like the tension between racing dynasties), they're either abandoned or resolved in the most predictable way possible. The show's insistence on keeping every side character one-dimensional makes the world of *Pit Babe* feel small and unconvincing, despite its supposedly high-stakes setting.

### **Style Over Substance at Every Turn** Yes, the series looks good-sleek cars, moody lighting, and a polished aesthetic-but these elements can't compensate for the lack of narrative depth. The soundtrack is generic, the pacing is uneven (dragging in emotional scenes yet rushing through key developments), and the dialogue often veers into cringe-worthy territory ("You're the only one who can tame my wild heart"-really?).

### **Final Verdict: A Pretty but Empty Joyride** *Pit Babe* is the equivalent of a luxury sports car with no engine-all shine, no soul. It's not offensively bad, but it's disappointingly mediocre, especially given its potential. If you're here for mindless eye candy, you might enjoy the ride. But if you're looking for a BL with compelling storytelling, authentic chemistry, or even just decent racing action, you'll be left in the dust. **5/10 - A forgettable pit stop in the BL genre.** 🚗💨
