Women who don't actually seem to care about their religion, but instead wanted a shot to be real housewives.
Shallow, foul human beings.
Sensationalized and misleading portrayal of LDS women. Instead of offering an authentic look at their lives, it focuses on rare, fringe situations that distort reality for shock value. The show lacks nuance, perpetuates harmful stereotypes, and does a disservice to viewers looking for genuine insight. Rather than fostering understanding, it exploits its subjects for entertainment. If you're looking for a thoughtful exploration of Mormon culture, this is not the place to find it.

Not only is the religion this show claims to be about being misrepresented (using b-roll of Catholic Churches and stained glass, among many other things). It's crazy that these women are getting any sort of tv show or screen time. I understand there is a market for brain rot and idiocy, but this is unbelievable.
If you want to learn about Mormons, this will be a great look into a really small specific group and their personal drama. They don't deserve an audience, they don't deserve to represent any type of origination in any way, shape, or form. I'm disappointed to be in the same generation as these degenerate, attention seeking screenagers.

The sad part of this show is that the accuracy that it portrays those under 30 is way too accurate. They are more concerned with being superficial and breaking what they consider are oppressive societal norms. If you were to look at the bulk of LDS women over the age of 30, they do not share these same values as these ladies do. All this was, was taking a group of spoiled twenty something year old moms that are completely fake and only care about themselves. It was just another version of real housewives, just set to the LDS religion. Hopefully most people who are watching this, will see that this is the case. And based off of most comments I'm seeing and reviews, this seems to be the case.
I mean, they aren't Mormon. I know that doesn't make the show sound as catchy and won't attract as many people. It would be interesting to see a scandal of people in the church and how the church dealt with them but unfortunately that isn't what you get here. These women aren't only lot Mormon they never were, I can't find anything credible that says they were ever Mormon or a part of the church. But if you want to watch an Utah real housewives kind of show maybe you would like this. If you were expecting any of the people in this show to be Mormon you should know they are not Mormon. And if they were they would have been kicked out of the church long ago, but they're not and near as I can tell, never were.
I finished the whole season, just so I could give an honest opinion, but my feelings about this group of women are the same as when I used to see them on TikTok. Why are they even relevant? It's not entertaining, their relationship is uncomfortable to watch at best, and extremely toxic at its worst. Their constant back-stabbing is petty and reminds me of being in middle school. I have met several "Mormons" in my life, and the ones who live like most of these women do don't claim to be part of the religion any longer. Why pretend to be part of something you obviously don't agree with? No one is forcing you to call yourself a "Mormon", so the only obvious answer is that they are doing it for the shock factor and so they can make money while also making a mockery out of a religion that so many hold sacred. It's just distasteful.
