Blumhouse is bringing an unholy trinity – M3GAN, Annabelle, and Ma – back to theaters nationwide, for one night only over three consecutive weeks, to headline its annual Halfway to Halloween Film Festival. The fest is even bigger and better this year, expanding nationwide for its second year.

The festival, part of Blumhouse’s 15th anniversary year, kicks off Friday, April 30 with M3GAN back on the big screen – but with a killer new tech twist: Blumhouse is teaming with Meta to bring to life Meta’s second screen experience, Movie Mate for the first time in theaters across the country.

As fans interact with the M3GAN chatbot in theaters, they will receive never-before-seen content, trivia, and behind-the-scenes info on the film in real time. Blumhouse is on a quest to make every day Halloween, and it’s starting by programming a spooky spring as part of its Halfway to Halloween campaign.

The company is bringing hit movies “M3GAN,” “Annabelle” and “Ma” back to theaters for one-night-only engagements, expanding Halfway to Halloween to the entire nation after last year’s limited launch.

The “M3GAN” screening will also allow fans to communicate with the evil doll herself via a M3GAN chatbot. Meta is launching its Movie Mate technology with the screening, allowing moviegoers to second screen during the film to access exclusive content, trivia and behind-the-scenes info in real-time.

Silicon Valley philanthropist Nicole Shanahan has funded a campaign to recall Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.

Bass has been heavily scrutinized for her handling of the Los Angeles wildfires while she was on a diplomatic trip to Ghana.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s former running mate, Shanahan, was recently revealed to be a major funder of the recall effort, as listed on the campaign’s website.

The campaign’s lead consultant, Gerard Sirotnak, stated, “Nicole Shanahan is dedicated to restoring California to its former greatness and made a generous contribution to help launch this effort. She firmly believes Angelenos have the right to hold Mayor Bass accountable for her failures.”

Shanahan expressed her support for the recall on Tuesday via X, posting, “Los Angeles has endured enough.”
