Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins

Owns her own clothing store named after her daughter called 'Chase's Closet' with one of the stores located in Houston, Texas.
Worked as a model, manicurist, shampoo girl, and hairdresser.
Watkins has sickle cell anemia since she was 7, and opened up to the public about the disease in 1996; she later became one of the spokespersons for Sickle Cell Disease Association of America. She was told that she wouldn't live past 30, that she couldn't have children and that she'd be disabled her entire life. In 2000, Watkins proved her doctor wrong twice over: not only did she live past 30 years old, but she also welcomed daughter Chase. After she breastfeed her newborn, she fell into coma and spent three days unconscious in the ICU. But her sickle-cell disease led to to harrowing post-birth complications. In 2002, she was hospitalized for four months due to a flare-up of sickle-cell anemia. She has stated that her faith in God and her optimism have helped her stay free from the more serious effects of sickle-cell disease.

When I used to cry and feel sorry for myself, I would stay sick longer, I would never get better, so my attitude was like 'Okay, you gonna have to just face what you got. You got sickle cell, now suck it up and try to make the best out of it.'
Being in a group is hard, I ain't gonna lie about that, because I'm not really a girls type of girl, I grew up with guys. See I'm a prissy tomboy, so I don't like cattiness. I'll do my hair and nails, but I don't want to talk about that all day, and that's usually how, women are so envious of one another, catty, jealous, that and egos, all that breaks up a group.
