Harom Hara – The Revolt received mixed word-of-mouth and reviews and struggled to attract audiences, even on its opening day. The movie opened with an earning of 1.05 crore and saw a 4% drop on Day 2 (Saturday) with 1 crore and a similar figure on Sunday (Day 3). It’s clear that the audience didn’t respond positively to the film based on the weekend numbers.

Chennai, Nov 21 (Ians) Making his Ott debut in the upcoming violent, and bloody horror series ‘The Village’, Tamil star Arya has opened up on his experience regarding the series’ shoot, saying that Ott shooting is an altogether different experience.

Talking about the series in detail, the ‘Iraandan Ulagam’ actor said: “My Ott debut with ‘The Village’ has definitely been a different kind of experience. The show’s concept, which is the horror-thriller element with a lot of gore, and a very rooted story was also never experienced in the Indian Ott market.”

The actor further mentioned, “I found that particularly enticing, which led me to pursue it further. The horror series is a class apart from all other horror genres seen on the Indian Ott platforms.”

Unveiling its new trailer, the Tamil horror series ‘The Village’ has only amped up the creeps as horrifying mutants come out from the dark and hunt a family, turning a simple family outing into a living nightmare and a desperate fight for survival.

Inspired by writers Asvin Srivatsangam, Vivek Rangachari, and Shamik Dasgupta’s graphic horror novel of the same name, the series is nonetheless its own thing and is a fast-paced, action-packed story that takes the viewers deep into the desolate hinterlands of Tamil Nadu and into the village of Kattiyal.

The short clip shows a lot of high class VFX, practical effects, and ghoulish make-up with a very haunting atmosphere. In Thiru's "Naan Sigappu Manithan" (Nsm), neither do you have a hero to cheer for (because he's asleep mostly as he suffers from a rare sleep disorder) nor a typical villain character. You don't have a comedian and comedy tracks to keep you entertained. You have a second heroine but she doesn't the play the hero's love interest. Yet what is it that makes this commercial Tamil outing a laudable effort?

A sumptuous Biriyani may not always be filling because at times it's too starchy to be digested. This is applicable to Venkat Prabhu's "Biriyani", which despite being fairly satisfying is not excellent because it gets too starchy due to unwanted ingredients. While the use of situational comedy works to some extent but what we see in some scenes is not humorous but downright awful and the double entendres directed at women are uncalled for.

I liked the previous works of the director because they didn't make you cringe.

Tamil cinema has always turned a blind eye to social problems such as honour killing, incest and even same-sex marriage for a very simple reason that such subjects might not click at the box-office.

Breaking away from the aforementioned outlook, director Suseenthiran crafts an intelligent and bold story about hormone-driven teenage romance. He makes us look at a domestic issue through the young eyes of his protagonists who stand.

"Ethir Neechal" is one of those films where the first and second halves are vaguely connected. The film oscillates between a cliched romantic-comedy and a sports movie at regular intervals only to appear like an inspired version of Simon Pegg's "Run, Fatboy, Run".

The first half of the story revolves around college going Sivakarthikeyan, who is always ridiculed by his friends for his funny sounding name. Tired of always being mocked at, he decides to choose a different moniker with the hope that things would be better.
