2025 is in full swing, and with it comes a brand-new anime season. Plenty of anime are continuing their runs from the fall season and beyond, but as is always the case, the season is filled mostly with anime that are either returning from extended breaks or new shows to watch, entirely.
The winter 2025 anime season is another one filled with plenty of new anime, and it’s already easy for fans to plan around them. At this point, every anime in the winter 2025 season has already confirmed its premiere dates and times, so anime fans can already plan out a schedule for every new anime premiering in the winter 2025 season. There are dozens of anime to keep track of from new releases alone, and with so many titles, someone is bound to find at least one series they want to watch.

The Fate series by Type-Moon is built around the dramatic Holy Grail Wars. These intense battles bring together Masters, skilled wizards, and Servants, who are the spirits of legendary heroes. Under the creative direction of Takashi Takeuchi and writer Kinoko Nasu, the franchise began with the visual novel Fate/Stay Night.
Since then, it has expanded into prequels, sequels, parodies, and adaptations, all connected by the iconic ‘Fate’ name. Anime has become the most popular way to experience this franchise, and it’s exciting to report about a new addition to the Fate anime world.
The next chapter, Fate/strange Fake, will soon join the lineup, as the anime is going to continue in January 2025, as we have already reported. Now, ahead of the release, a new trailer has been released and you will be able to see it below.

Isekai is one of the most popular and oversaturated genres anime has ever seen. Many isekai, such as Re:Zero or Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, follow the standard blueprint of a character being transported to another world, often filled with magic, mythical creatures, knights and a medieval setting. However, not all series follow this blueprint.
Some shows take a unique perspective on the isekai genre away from the fantasy world. From futuristic dystopias to modern-day Japan, anime like Ya Boy Kongming! and Ascendance of a Bookworm offer a twist on the isekai genre and prove that a journey to another world can be just as thrilling without dragons and sorcery.

My Hero Academia's manga may have ended in August, but the series has just received its first post-series expansion with the release of a new promotional one-shot by series creator Kohei Horikoshi. The new one-shot is designed to lead into the upcoming movie, My Hero Academia: You're Next, which is set to be released later this week.
The new one-shot focuses on Class 1-a getting their hands on Deku's notebook and reading all the notes he's made about them over the course of the series. It's set early in season 7, as Deku is shown wearing his Dark Hero costume while still spending time with his classmates in Class 1-a. Some, of course, are more enthusiastic about Deku's notes than others. The chapter is only 7 pages long, and serves primarily to set up the characters' status before the start of the movie. The one-shot is available on Viz's Shonen Jump app.

Muneyuki Kaneshiro is best known for his popular sports manga, Blue Lock, but another one of his works also deserves an anime adaptation. We Did It is a manga that explores themes of regret and the consequences of one's actions, making it a contemplative tale that is perfect for the modern anime landscape. Although it has already received a live-action adaptation, We Did It is better suited to the anime medium.
Muneyuki Kaneshiro has reached new levels of renown thanks to his hugely popular sports manga series Blue Lock. However, the shonen sports manga is only one small aspect of Kaneshiro's catalog of greater works. In fact, the darker, more introspective tinge of Blue Lock that helps it stand out from other sports series is actually indicative of many of his earlier works. In particular, one such series is criminally underrated and would fit in perfectly with the modern anime environment.
