Probably the best of Carlos Cacá Diegues's films (even better than great O maior amor do mundo and Bye bye Brazl). Cinematography (reminds Italian neo-realism), dialogs, characters, soundtrack (Brazilian drums well combined with scenes), everything is very good. It is completely out of usual formulae, but never bores espectator. It is very consistent, and Antônio Pitanga's impressive charisma is in the core of the film's strength. Anecy Rocha, Leonardo Villar and Joel Barcellos also play very well and complete competently that curious romantic square (not simply a triangle!). Diegues's second feature-length movie is a great achievement! How one may survive in this big town?
