The Elevator Boys, a German boy band who surged to online popularity by early on posting dance videos on TikTok, have signed with CAA for representation.

The five members – Bene Schulz, Jacob Rott, Julien Brown, Luis Freitag, and Tim Schaecker – have become major recording artists and fashion tastemakers with over 45 million social media followers. In 2023, the Elevator Boys launched their music career by performing their first single, “Runaway,” at Wembley Stadium in front of 80,000 fans.

Another popular single, “Ruin Me,” was followed by the release of their EP, Scared to Love, via their own label in July 2024. The growth of their global fan base has help secure fashion house partnerships with brands like Gucci, Prada, Armani, Hublot, L’Oreal Paris and Rabanne Beauty.

That fashion world presence includes band member Rott making his runway debut last year as part of Versace’s fall/winter ‘24-‘25 show during the Milan Fashion Week.

With October officially in full swing, we have a new crop of horror and sci-fi home media offerings coming out this week which would all make for some prime Halloween season viewings. Warner Bros. is bringing everyone’s favorite demonic doll to both Blu-ray and DVD for Annabelle Comes Home, Rlje Films is releasing the psychological thriller Gwen on Blu and DVD too, and for those of you still looking to bask in the brightly lit horrors of Ari Aster’s imagination, Midsommar hits both formats on Tuesday as well.

We also have a ton of older titles being released this week, From Beyond the Grave, My Boyfriend’s Back, Hercules in the Haunted World, and for those looking to upgrade some recent horror hits, both Jordan Peele’s Us and Get Out hit 4k for a double feature set from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

Ruin Me is a horror film that makes fun of horror tropes. This title has already had a long run on the film festival circuit. I’ve got a ridiculous trailer here for you to watch today for a new vigilante action-thriller called Death Kiss. As you’ll see, it a Charles Bronson-style film and it comes complete with a Charles Bronson look-a-like! That actors name is Robert ‘Bronzi’ Kovacs, and he doesn’t do much talking in the trailer. It’s clear he’s just there to look like Bronson and kick some ass and I found it quite amusing.

The film follows a vigilante with a mysterious past who goes to a crime-infested city and takes the law into his own hands, at the same time protecting a young mother and her child. When talking about the film, producer Jeff Miller says:

Company adds The Cleaning Lady, Central Park, and Framed.

UK genre specialists Jinga Films has added three titles to its Cannes slate ahead of next month’s market.

The Cleaning Lady stars Alexis Kendra (Valentine’s Day) in the story of a lonely woman who finds companionship with her cleaning lady who was disfigured in a childhood accident. As the relationship develops, she learns the tragic truth behind the scars and becomes embroiled in an act of revenge. The film was directed by Jon Knautz (Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer).

The first wave of the 2017 Screamfest Horror Film Festival lineup and the festival ambassador have been announcement.

The festival will run from October 10-19, 2017 at the Tcl Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood. Film festival badges are currently on sale to the general public at www.ScreamfestLA.com and individual film tickets will be available soon. With only four weeks till the start of the festival, Frightfest organisers have announced not only some of the guests set to appear over the August Bank Holiday weekend, but also the addition of another film to the line-up! The 150 plus guest-list this year is as vibrant and eclectic as ever, with nearly 40 of the films represented… New to the film line-up is Jackals, Kevin Greutert’s potent blend of horror thriller, home invasion terror and murder cult chiller, which stars Stephen Dorff and Deborah Kara Unger. The film is scheduled for Saturday 25th August, 4pm and 4.30pm in the main screens at the Cineworld Leicester Square.
