Avis à la une
While traveling through the countryside, Nora (Nora Yessayan) and her boyfriend Alec (Alec Gaylord) stop for the night at an off-road bed and breakfast. When they wake up, the find that they are trapped in cages like animals in a farm managed by masked people to supply meat and milk. What will happen to them?
"The Farm" is a stupid and nonsense film with a ridiculous premise. The plot is absurd with no development and seems that was made to shock the audiences only. My vote is two.

I was expecting this to be a remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but directed by PETA. That's kinda what it is and it really feels like a feature length PETA demonstration. The only twist for me was that they ripped off Hostel as well (but even that isn't actually a twist, so no need for spoiler warnings).
So imagine a bunch PETA activists desperately trying to remake Hostel - that's pretty much all it is. All the symbolism is so totally obvious and in your face that it seizes to make any sense as a horror movie and even seizes to have any relatable plot at all and becomes a mere campaign for animal rights. The only problem is that it even fails at that, because we already know that hamburgers don't grow on trees, so for the movie to be effective as an animal rights campaign it's not enough to simply shove the facts about how cows are treated down our throat, because most of us already know that and we don't care because we don't really relate to their suffering. Now the movie tries to do exactly that, but fails at exactly that, because in order for us to relate to the suffering on an emotional level, the movie would need a relatable plot and relatable - or even remotely likable characters and it just doesn't have any of that...

I thought that sayings like "I lost a few brain cells after that" or "watching that gave me cancer" were just that - sayings. But now I understand that something as bad as this movie can actually make you feel stupider after watching it and I actually got a headache which makes me think I've got a brain tumor. Please heed my warning and do NOT waste your time on this p.o.s. movie. You'll get more entertainment from watching paint dry and that is not an exaggeration.
The acting is that of a typical low budget movie. That said, there were little "surprises" or "horror" in this movie. Most of what should be on-screen horror-wise happens off screen. The narrative and plot are all over the place and many of the scenes are disjointed. Without adding spoilers there are many scenes where you will be scratching your head asking how did he/she get here/there? How did he/she do that? It seemed more like a PETA commercial that was drawn out over 80 minutes and not enough story to fill it.
I like horror movies, mostly even the rubbish ones hold some sense of creepiness and horror. However this one was just boring. The idea behind this film is weird and messed up but as horror value goes there just wasnt any. I just wanted it to end due to it being uneventful. They could have done so much more with this.
Zero stars, I'm not impressed, not one little bit! Theres two hours of my life I'll never get back! Dont bother.

- GaffesThe dog cage Nora is put in right after capture is just snap together. Would be easy to get out of by pulling and unhooking catches.
