Roman Atwood's collection of good deeds can now be witnesses through YouTube Red. The YouTube star has launched Roman Atwood's Day Dreams, a series that brings heartwarming surprises to people who have been through hardships.
In each episode of Day Dreams, Atwood engineers a spectacle in order to uplift the spirits of a fan who could a positive moment or two. In the first episode, he helps a young man named Angelo, who is in a wheelchair, live his dream of participating in the action sports event Nitro Circus. He also works with his colleagues to acquire a new house for Angelo and his family. In short, Atwood's efforts resemble those of the Make-a-Wish Foundation, which has established its own ties to the YouTube community.
As with other YouTube Red shows, the first episode of Day Dreams is available for free. Additional installments are enclosed behind the subscription service's $9.99-per-month paywall.

YouTube is adding to its portfolio of family-friendly Red originals alongside the prank maestro-turned-daily vlogger Roman Atwood, who has amassed more than 23 million subscribers across his two channels to date. While Atwood’s content has ignited controversy in the past -- including several prank videos in which he has pretended to murder his children -- the 34-year-old father of three has now abandoned his prank channel (10 million subscribers) and settled on family vlogs (13 million subscribers).
Roman Atwood’s Day Dreams will see Atwood, his family, and a team of volunteers staging extreme projects to make people’s wildest dreams come true, according to a release -- including creating a monster truck playground in his backyard and attempting a tricycle backflip at Nitro Circus. It sounds vaguely similar to Furze World Wonders, another family-friend YouTube Red series from backyard inventor Colin Furze, in which he puts his invention skills to good use to help other people.

Growing up, I was a huge Freddy Krueger fan. I had also become infatuated with Gaston Leroux’s novel, The Phantom of the Opera, which made me a pretty easy mark for Dwight H. Little’s (Halloween 4) 1989 film based on the popular work of fiction. Focusing more on the horror contained within Leroux’s original story, this version is a wickedly ghastly and blood-soaked tale of obsession that allows Robert Englund the room to do what he does best as a performer- go nuts. And after recently checking out the Scream Factory Blu-ray, it was great to see just how well Little’s inventive adaptation has held up over time and how much fun the film still remains, despite its age.

Video of David Hasselhoff 'singing' Fresh Prince theme song is everything you want it to be -- Video
“David Hasselhoff singing the Fresh Prince theme song” is a phrase Hump Day dreams were made of.
Vimeo user Matthijs_Vlot has taken the tried-and-true method of YouTuber Baracksdubs and created a video that has the former Baywatch star talking his way through every word of Will Smith’s iconic rap. The cut-together clips feature all of Hasselhoff’s iconic roles, meaning — for the few of you out there that this applies to — your Knight Rider/Fresh Prince cross-over fanfiction just got a go-to visual.
The best part? The video is called Rip-Hoff pt. 1, people. Check it out below, and start crossing your fingers pt.

Midi Matilda, "Red Light District Ep" (Five Seven Music)
San Francisco-based electro pop duo Midi Matilda pulls the rug out from under your feet with their six-track debut Ep, "Red Light District." Having joined forces just a year ago, with names like Logan Grime and Skyler Kilborn, they couldn't have been anything other than a pair of poets in disguise as musicians. Their peppy sound strides the line between modern pop and homage 1980s with aplomb and manages to capture a certain joie de vivre and a youthful hopefulness without sounding derivative.
"Day Dreams" transports you to a wistful day of reverie and "Love and the Movies" veers into a strange time-bending territory where you feel you've heard bits and pieces of the synth, yet you're dislocated into the unknown. And "Ottawa" pulses through your feet with lyrics like: "Unsure lady, if there's room for you and I, you're pouring...

Who: Midi Matilda
Current Gig: The dynamic duo of Logan Grime and Skyler Kilbornmidi make up Midi Matilda, a band that, in its brief five months of existence, has rocketed almost instantly into the ranks of the Bay Area's indie-pop vanguard. On the strength of a single Ep and handful of inventive music videos (including "Ottawa," which is getting its world premiere right here right now at the top of this story), the band has sold out every show it's played and seems uniquely poised for imminent world takeover.
Current 'Hood: Logan grew up in San Rafael and lives in San Francisco's Noe Valley. Skylar grew up in central Texas and lives in Berkeley.
What's your favorite place in the Bay Area?
Skylar: Urban Ore in Berkeley. It's a used materials shop and the idea behind is that it replaces a lot of the things that would go into landfills.
