Warning: Spoilers ahead for Squid Game season 2.
A very particular song plays during the six-legged pentathlon scene in Squid Game season 2, episode 5 "Han Geim Deo" or "One More Game". The first three episodes of Squid Game season 2 show Gi-hun returning to the Squid Game as Player 456 to seek revenge on the Front Ma, In-ho. Many of the new Squid Game contestants – including the undercover contestant Player 001 – try to figure out how to make it out alive through the various games featured in Squid Game season 2.
While there are several shocking twists in Squid Game season 2, the most surprising of all is that the Squid Games do not finish before the season 2 finale. This sets up a cliffhanger ending at the end of Squid Game season 2, placing Gi-hun in a tragic and dangerous situation following the death of his best friend, Jung-bae. Before the finale, however, Gi-hun, Jung-bae, and In-ho all...

Fly Me to the Moon is a nostalgic, stylish rom-com set during the Space Race era, with strong performances from Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson. The film explores the lead-up to the Apollo 11 mission and the relationship between launch director Cole Davis and marketing whiz Kelly Jones, while also addressing conspiracy theories. Despite certain pacing issues, the movie's charm, engaging characters, and retro feel make it a worthwhile watch.
Fast-moving, stylishly edited, and packed to the brim with nostalgia for a vital moment in American history, Greg Berlanti's Fly Me to the Moon has a lot on its mind. In many ways, it feels like the classic sort of movie Hollywood is wary of making these days, though I really hope that this Space Race rom-com changes studios' minds. Fly Me to the Moon is far from a perfect movie, but for two hours and 12 minutes, it took me...

A charitable explanation for the new film co-starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum is that the creators got stoned one night and watched the cheesy 1978 movie Capricorn One, about a faked lunar mission to Mars. “Hey, you know what would make this movie even better?” one of them must have asked rhetorically. “If it were a love story, too.”
The result is the misbegotten Fly Me to the Moon, which somehow manages to be less credible than Capricorn One — and that movie featured O.J. Simpson as an astronaut. The film weirdly blends together romantic comedy, historical drama and conspiracy thriller into exactly the sort of unholy mess that you’d expect. Except no one would expect it to be a numbing 132 minutes long. It’s no wonder Tatum looks uncomfortable throughout.
It’s no spoiler to reveal that a key plot element involves a conspiracy to fake the Apollo 11 moon landing,...

If you’re a die hard horror fan, you probably know the name Dick Miller (Gremlins, A Bucket Of Blood), a genre vet. Now, Elijah Drenner is trying to get donations to back That Guy Dick Miller, a documentary chronicling the life and career of the character actor. Check out the project on Kickstarter, and here’s the description from the website:
That Guy Dick Miller is the first-ever, comprehensive look at the life and career of Hollywood’s most famous character actor, Dick Miller (Gremlins, Terminator, Bucket of Blood and hundreds more). In a career that has lasted over 50 years, we chart Dick’s story growing up in The Bronx, his aspirations to be a writer and the quirk of fate that found him in front of the camera for pioneering independent filmmaker, Roger Corman.
As a staple of Corman’s stock company throughout the 1950s and 60s, Dick...

To misquote Jack Nicholson, Roger Corman released so many movies, it's no surprise some real stinkers got into theaters. And the recent Shout! Factory Roger Corman Cult Classics release, Lethal Ladies 2 Collection, is intent on proving that statement. The two-dvd set includes a single-disc presentation of The Arena, and a second disc with the double feature of Fly Me and Cover Girl Models.
The best film in the collection, 1974's The Arena (aka Naked Warriors), is little more than a retelling of Spartacus with women as gladiators. Corman decided it was the perfect vehicle for Pam Grier and Margaret Markov, following their successful...
