Sara Chase and Lauren Adams have joined NBC comedy series Tooken from 30 Rock’s Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. It centers on Kimmy (Ellie Kemper), who escapes from a doomsday cult and starts life over in New York. Chase, repped by TalentWorks and Perennial Entertainment, will play Cyndee, Kimmy’s best friend from the cult. Adams will play Gretchen, a member of the cult for the past 10 years and the only member who has been successfully brainwashed and believes everything she was told. Actor and singer Jeff Daniels will perform in concert at 54 below continuing tonight, January 3 and 4 at 8Pm and 11Pm. In accepting, Daniels humorously recalled one of his last awards was from the Aarp for his performance in the 2005 movie "The Squid and the Whale." He wryly noted, "We'll have to move the Barcalounger," allegedly the "trophy" he received from that organization.

According to its website, the Vineyard Arts Project just held two in-progress readings on July 18 and 20 of Moss Hart's Act One, adapted for the stage by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and director James Lapine and commissioned by the Lincoln Center Theater. He has died at age 73. Wilson won the Pulitzer Prize for his play, "Talley's Folly." He wrote 17 full length plays and 30 one acts. Titles include "The Hot L Baltimore," "Burn This," "Fifth of July" and "Redwood Curtain," which had just come out when Terry spoke to Wilson in 1992.
