This axiom, of course, is also true of K-dramas, the blanket term used for scripted television from South Korea of any genre. As numerous celebrated K-dramas find widespread success with international audiences, more Korean movies and shows are available overseas through popular streaming platforms like Netflix. However, there are just some shows on Netflix that you should probably steer clear of, or at least strongly consider watching different Korean shows over instead.

With some projects suffering from formulaic writing or a clear lack of chemistry between lead actors in romance series, not every K-drama is going to be the next "Squid Game." This certainly isn't a dig on Netflix, with the platform curating a growing library of excellent K-dramas to check out.

We are in a creative age when villains are typically misunderstood. But "Wicked" is far from the only piece of modern pop culture that tries to revisit quintessential baddies. Perhaps it's fitting that a number of the most recent examples come from the Walt Disney Company, which first established itself as a place where classic stories of good and evil can be told and retold on the big screen.

There are three categories of people eagerly anticipating the return of Mike White's superb satire anthology series, "The White Lotus." Group A are those who obsessively watched the first two seasons and are frothing at the mouth wondering what will be the new, memorable "these gays are trying to kill me" quote that will become their whole personality. Group B are those who love great television and are capable of being Normal About It -- at least enough to differentiate themselves from Group A.

But season 3 has introduced a new category that already has a name — welcome to the White Lotus party Blink (and/or Lillies)! The newest season of "The White Lotus" marks the debut of international superstar and Thailand-born Blackpink member Lalisa Manoban, aka Lisa. She plays Mook, a health mentor for guests of the White Lotus Thailand resort and sometimes performer during the customary evening entertainment.

As "Yellowstone" approached its conclusion, yeehaws turned into hoo-hahs when Kevin Costner made a heated exit from the series prior to its final batch of episodes. Costner's departure, the result of behind-the-scenes issues, ultimately led to his character John Dutton being killed off in "Yellowstone" Season 5 Part 2. "I'd been a fan of Kevin's work my whole life," Sheridan confessed. "Just the chance to sit down with someone you've admired was a great honor. In the entire history of the Academy Awards, only six Best Picture winners have been 100 minutes or less. It seems that traditional, Oscar-bait "prestige" pictures tend to run long, attracting Academy voters with their sheer volume. Extra-long films are also a little rare, though, as only five Best Picture Winners are 200 minutes or more. Additionally, a whopping 18 Best Pictures have been between 160 and 195 minutes, so voters clearly don't mind longer movies. Indeed, the average length of a Best Picture winner is 136 minutes.
