Season 2 of Silo was divided into two plot lines: one that followed Juliette surviving in Silo 17, and with the other following the uprising in Silo 18. In the 9th episode, we saw Paul, Knox, Shirley, and Hank trying to figure out a way to thwart Bernard, who was keeping an eye on them via Walker. Paul and Robert had a conversation where the latter was convinced to dethrone Bernard and put Camille in charge of things. Bernard ordered the Sheriff’s Department to turn the cafeteria into a massive holding cell so as to contain the rebels from Mechanical. Lukas Kyle made two major discoveries. Firstly, there were a total of 51 silos, and secondly, these silos were connected via a network of tunnels. That said, when he tried to access the tunnel at the bottom of Silo 18, he was stopped in his tracks by the Algorithm, which threatened him with...

Warning! This article contains spoilers for Silo season 2.Silo season 2's opening episodes make it hard not to believe that Bernard may not actually be a villain. After initially maintaining some ambiguity surrounding Bernard's true motives, Silo season 1 established him as the show's primary antagonist. It revealed that while the Silo's citizens believed they were governed by the Judicial, the head of the It, Bernard, was pulling all the strings from behind the scenes. Even towards the ending moments of Silo season 1, Bernard called the shots and was responsible for Juliette's departure from Silo 18.
Since the show's beginning, he has shown zero tolerance towards the defiance of Silo 18's rules and has ensured anyone who goes against him and Silo's laws is punished. However, Silo season 1 revealed nothing about why Bernard behaved the way he did. Silo season 2's episodes 1 and 2 finally shed some light on what is happening in the outside world,...

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Silo season 2, episode 2, "Order."Tim Robbins' Bernard Holland and Common's Robert Sims have proven to be effective collaborators in Silo, but there seems to be a growing divide between both characters. In Silo season 2, episode 2, "Order," Sims' ambition to become Bernard's official shadow is one of the biggest storylines for Common's character. However, Bernard is holding his Judicial colleague at bay, which begs the question of why there is so much awkward friction between the two men. By the end of Silo season 2, episode 2, there is at least some explanation as to why this is the case.
Robbins and Common have held important positions in the Silo cast since the Apple TV+ show began in 2023. Although their characters have different responsibilities within Silo 18, they are both near the top of the society's hierarchy when it comes to authority and knowledge about how the facility operates.

Stephen King has been a one-man fear-exploiting factory since the Nixon administration. He just celebrated the 50th publication anniversary of "Carrie" last April, and released a new collection of short stories, "You Like It Darker" a month ago. The 76-year-old author shows no signs of slowing down, and if you ask his legion of fans, they'll tell you that, while he's had his peaks and lulls, there's been no sustained fall-off in quality throughout his career. You might not spark to all of his books, but sooner or later the King of Horror will once again scare the holy hell out of you.
While some of his stories dredge up universal dreads like the end of the world ("The Stand"), the boogeyman and s***-weasels ("Dreamcatcher"), he's got a knack for training his macabre sights on a specific phobias. It's...

Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy has gone down in history as one of the best-cast movies in history. Everyone he chose stepped into their roles as if they walked directly out of the pages of Tolkien's original novels. They encapsulate the things that made the books so special in the first place while revitalizing the characters for the screen in a way that makes them all interesting to watch.
However, some casting choices stand leagues above the rest because they're just that flawless. From Bernard Hill's Theoden to Ian McKellan's Gandalf, let's take a look at the ten actors who did the best jobs stepping into their roles.

Despite being one of The Lord of the Rings' most iconic female characters, Eowyn's final years are left shrouded in mystery.

A good high-school or college TV show is like a time machine, designed to transport nostalgic older viewers backward to youth or (more rarely) younger viewers forward to an anticipated maturity. At the same time, it’s a sufficiently codified genre that the nostalgia is as much for other fictional favorites in the same narrative space as it is for any “real” experience of high school or college.
A well-cast high-school or college TV show is a time machine on yet another level, enjoyable in its immediacy but also a preview for decades of future ensembles. Even if the breakouts from a Freaks and Geeks or Sex Education or Dear White People aren’t always the stars you’d expect, one needn’t watch more than a scene or two to know how well-populated those shows are.

The Santa Clauses season 2 builds on the franchise's holiday charm, introducing new characters and exploring the Santa Claus mythos. Scott Calvin trains his energetic son, Cal, to become the next Santa Claus, adding heartwarming and hilarious moments to the show. The supporting elf character, Betty, goes on a journey of self-discovery, adding depth to the season and providing fun Christmas magic hijinks.
The saga of Scott Calvin's tenure as Jolly Old St. Nick opens another endearingly hilarious and heartwarming chapter in season 2 of The Santa Clauses. Following the story established in the show's first season, The Santa Clauses season 2 fittingly brings more of the never-ending, microscopic fine print that comes with any job at the North Pole while also exploring new areas of the Santa Claus(e) mythos. This post contains spoilers for "Westworld" season 4, including the series finale.
HBO's "Westworld" had the misfortune to end just as ChatGPT was making itself known and the world was becoming aware of how far real-life AI has come. It's tempting to read into that, not to mention co-showrunner Jonathan Nolan's parting comments about "our AI overlords." Like, maybe the AI canceled "Westworld" for getting too close to the truth.
What's clear is that actor Jeffrey Wright's journey as AI programmer Bernard Lowe has reached its end on "Westworld." Wright no longer has to worry about getting bored with his character, since some all-powerful AI HBO has officially canceled the show after four seasons, giving him and other main cast members a nice severance package in the form of millions. However, there was a time when Wright doubted whether Bernard would be able to sustain his interest as an actor.

As is customary with “Westworld,” the HBO sci-fi series’ Season 4 finale ended with plenty of surprises, and left viewers with a number of lingering questions. Luckily, TheWrap spoke with co-creator and co-showrunner Lisa Joy about that Season 4 finale ending, crafting the season as a whole and what might be next for the series if it gets renewed.
Indeed, HBO has not yet ordered a fifth season of “Westworld,” but Joy is hopeful they do because Season 5 is planned to be the conclusion to the story that she and co-creator Jonathan Nolan began all the way back in 2016.
Below, Joy answers some burning questions we had after that finale including what’s up with Dolores’ test, why Charlotte Hale made that game-changing decision and whether humanity really is toast.

It’s been two years since Season 3 of HBO‘s Westworld concluded and fans have been anxiously awaiting new stories. Co-creator Lisa Joy made a special appearance at the Atx Festival on Saturday night alongside writer Alison Schapker and stars Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Luke Hemsworth, Angela Sarafyan, and Aurora Perrineau.
Joy confirmed Wood’s character Dolores is dead as it was revealed in the Season 3 finale, and the actress will play someone new when the show premieres on June 26. Season 3 picked up three months after the events of the second season with Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores having escaped Westworld with a few processing cores including that of Jeffrey Wright’s Bernard. Taking residence in neo-Los Angeles in 2058, Dolores developed a relationship with Aaron Paul’s Caleb and came to learn how artificial beings and lower-class humans are treated in the real world. Meanwhile, Thandiwe Newton’s Maeve found herself in another part of the Delos park, based on Fascist Italy during WWII.

Jack London’s “The Call of the Wild” is the Og of anthropomorphized adventure stories, transforming its St. Bernard-Scotch Collie mix into an engrossing protagonist without turning him into a primal cartoon. The epic 19th century tale of Buck, the domesticated pet who finds himself sold into the Yukon and battling life as a sled dog, maintains a tricky balance: Although London roots his story in the canine perspective, Buck’s back-to-nature plight is always realistic.
It’s a wonder, then, why 20th Century Fox (now Disney label 20th Century Studios) decided to adapt London’s story by turning Buck into a motion-capture monstrosity, the most prominent unnatural ingredient in a movie all about the natural world. The 2020 “Call of the Wild” isn’t all-out atrocity so much as a question mark,
