Though movie franchises are the bread and butter of Hollywood, and many just can't seem to end, there are others that barely started, and as a result, left major cliffhangers that were never resolved in their original franchise. Oftentimes, these films presented just the first part of a much longer and more epic story, however in one way or another, the franchise was cut before reaching its ultimate conclusion.

After killing the first three, Number Four becomes the next target, and he has to fight to protect himself.

Genre regular Eli Roth has another horror project coming our way – but this one won’t be nearly as brutal or bloody as the likes of Cabin Fever or Hostel. Instead, it’s some “gateway horror” entertainment that comes in the form of an animated series called Fright Krewe. Said to be aimed at “older children”, the first season of Fright Krewe will consist of ten episodes that will be released through both the Hulu and Peacock streaming services. A premiere date has not yet been announced.

The Wrap reports that Roth has teamed up with Dreamworks and author James Frey to bring this series to the screen – and they also point out that Frey is a rather controversial figure. His books A Million Little Pieces and My Friend Leonard were initially marketed as memoirs, but it was soon revealed that large portions of them were either exaggerated or made up.

Horror director Eli Roth is entering the world of children’s programming with DreamWorks’ “Fright Krewe.” The upcoming series comes from Roth and controversial author James Frey, who wrote “A Million Little Pieces.”

The 10-episode arc is DreamWorks’ first horror series for older children. According to the logline, “An ancient prophecy and a Voodoo Queen put misfit teens in charge of saving New Orleans from the biggest demonic threat it’s faced in almost two centuries. But, honestly? Saving the world might be easier than becoming friends.”

The 2D series will have 10 episodes in its first season and will premiere on Hulu and Peacock.

“Fright Krewe” comes from Eli Roth and James Frey. Roth, Frey, Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco executive produce the series with Shane Acker and Mitchell Smith serving as co-executive producers.

As audiences continue to mourn the franchise that didn't happen, I Am Number Four star Teresa Palmer is looking back on the film's cult following and its scrapped sequel. Based on Pittacus Lore's novel of the same name, the film revolved around a teenage alien hiding on Earth from another vicious alien species and the immersion of his powers that can fight them. Palmer starred as Number Six, a more capable member of the Lorien species looking to unite the others hiding out on Earth.

On April 22, model Toni Garrn announced that she and "Magic Mike" actor Alex Pettyfer are getting a divorce after two years of marriage. The former Victoria's Secret model shared the news in an Instagram Story.

Hulu’s psychological thriller will make its World Premiere at the Overlook Film Festival in New Orleans, La., from March 30 through April 2. The film will debut exclusively on Hulu on April 28, 2023, and on Disney+ internationally at a later date.

According to a new BTS video, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes has wrapped filming with a behind-the-scenes video showing the first look of the CGI apes. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes – which will release on May 4, 2024 – is the fourth installment in the rebooted Planet of the Apes series after the trilogy initially concluded Caesar's story. This trilogy began with Rise of the Planet of the Apes in 2011, continuing with 2014’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes.
