Whenever a big Marvel Cinematic Universe crossover is on the horizon, there's a lot of conversation surrounding just who will make a surprise appearance. When Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame premiered, fans were lucky enough to witness almost every iconic big-screen hero come together to stop a common threat. Now, expectations are at an all-time high for a similar scenario to happen in Avengers: Doomsday next year.
Fortunately, some of our doubts were finally answered once Marvel revealed the cast for their next big project during a five-hour livestream. Unfortunately, not everyone made it into the initial announcement, which begged a lot of questions regarding those characters who weren't there. What does the future hold in store for them? Are they out of the MCU altogether?
It might be a complicated scenario, but it seems a few familiar faces are bound to come back. After all, one of those "missing...

Superhero shows love to make us wait. Wait for the villain reveal. Wait for the suit-up moment. Wait for the hero to finally stop being emotionally constipated. But Daredevil: Born Again might just be flipping the script—and, even better, breaking a DC record that fans have been side-eyeing for almost a decade.
That’s right, Matt Murdock and Bullseye are strutting into Season 2 in full comic-accurate gear. No more just vibes, leather suits, or shadowy silhouettes. We’re talking double-d chest logo, and Bullseye looking like he came straight from the panels of a ’90s comic book and a GQ shoot.

We’ve had heroes. We’ve had villains. We’ve had morally ambiguous wizards who accidentally break the multiverse because they didn’t want to say goodbye to their girlfriends. But what have we been seriously missing lately? Unhinged, unpredictable, anti-heroes.
Marvel’s upcoming Thunderbolts* film is shaping up to be a delicious buffet of that chaos, featuring a squad of slightly less homicidal baddies. We’re talking Red Guardian, Bucky, Yelena, Ghost, and people who’ve probably been kicked out of a group chat at some point.

No one is ever truly "gone" on comic book pages, no matter how dire the situation might seem. Just take a look at Gwen Stacy; she died for good all the way back in 1973, and that status quo mostly remained unchanged throughout all these years... until Marvel announced she'll be back as a cold-blooded assassin. However, not every comeback is for the worse. Beloved characters such as Spider-Man or Foggy Nelson seemingly met their end in a specific comic book only to make a big appearance a few issues down the line. Furthermore, we've seen the exact same scenario play out multiple times in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Phil Coulsson, Groot, Nick Fury, and many more heroes have "died" on-screen only for them to be back one way or another in subsequent projects. However, some characters have fates way more complicated than death, such as being sidelined due to studio politics.

Despite only running for nine episodes, it feels like Disney+ has packed a lot into its blood-soaked freshman season of Daredevil: Born Again. While it’s very much a continuation of Netflix’s Daredevil, the legal-superhero hybrid lives up to its ‘born again’ moniker as the Man Without Fear finally cements himself in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. From its shock opening that saw the beloved Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) meet his maker, through to episode 8’s dramatic cliffhanger where Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) took a bullet for Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), there’s been a lot to unpack in such a short time.
Although Born Again originally pitched Hunter Doohan’s Muse as the big bad, it’s come as no real surprise that the crux of the story has been the slow devolution of Fisk into his Kingpin persona. Of course, Big Willy isn’t the only villain on the prowl,...

Comic books are a strange medium to adapt, especially since most of the characters tend to be over the top in nature. While Kevin Feige and the MCU have done a fine job overall in adapting a variety of comic book characters for live-action media, one creepy serial killer might prove too challenging.
In the comics, the Purple Man, aka Zebediah Killgrave, is a sinister serial killer with mind control abilities. As a result, the character is strange in many ways, especially because of his unique powers and physical appearance.

Despite the challenges of adapting such a character, the Netflix series Jessica Jones did a fine job with a different version of the Purple Man. However, with more Netflix characters becoming MCU canon after Daredevil: Born Again, the Purple Man can’t be far behind. Here is why Kevin...

Daredevil is not like any other Marvel superhero. He can’t punch through walls or have high-tech support, but he is a man who constantly questions his morals. Matt Murdock’s faith, rage, and pursuit of justice make him a hero who is as flawed as he is inspiring. That complexity goes up to new heights in Daredevil: Born Again.
Daredevil: Born Again continues where the Netflix series left off, marking the 13th series in the MCU. Charlie Cox is back again as Matt Murdock/Daredevil to face Kingpin/Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio. The series is not just a reboot; it is a continuation after the end of Netflix’s series. It has old, familiar characters and new chaos.

Warfare, co-directed and co-written by Alex Garland and Ray Mendoza, draws from firsthand accounts of a Navy Seal mission in Ramadi, Iraq, in November 2006. The script is based entirely on the memories of Mendoza and his fellow SEALs, offering a close-up view of an overnight surveillance operation that shifted into active conflict.
The film begins with a unit of Navy SEALs splitting into three teams. Their task: occupy a residential building under cover of darkness to observe enemy movement and secure the area for incoming ground forces. The mission, carried out in a region known for Al Qaeda activity, unfolds in confined interior spaces with little exposition and minimal dialogue. Military jargon is used without translation, and characters are shown as coordinated parts of a functioning team rather than as individually profiled figures.

After a quiet 2024, the Marvel Cinematic Universe was supposed to make a big, explosive comeback in 2025. Unfortunately, not everything has gone according to plan during the first months of the year. While the Disney Plus projects, such as Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Daredevil: Born Again, premiered to a raving critical reception, the same can't be said for Marvel's first theatrical venture of 2025: Captain America: Brave New World.
Cap's movie only grossed $413 million on a budget of around $180 million without accounting for marketing expenses and reshoots — which, at best, means that it barely made a profit. At worst? Disney had another loss on its hands. Furthermore, Daredevil's numbers haven't necessarily exceeded expectations either. The series' opening gathered 7.5 million viewers, which is still an impressive number considering its 18+ rating, yet it falls short compared to the 10.9 million viewers for the first episode of Loki season 2. Marvel's record hasn't been impecable as of late,...

Many war films, no matter the location, the feats of heroism, or the bonds that are made amidst the bloodshed, end up being reminiscent of others in the process. You'd be forgiven, then, for making those comparisons before going into "Warfare," the new film from co-directors Alex Garland and former U.S. Navy Seal Ray Mendoza, whose personal experiences are the basis of the movie which, through its nightmarish depiction of its subject matter redefines what makes a war movie in the process. What might come as a surprise, however, is that amidst the chaos and barbarity unfolding around Will Poulter, Cosmo Jarvis, Joseph Quinn, and "Daredevil: Born Again's" Michael Gandolfini, inspiration was found in a 1998 Gwyneth Paltrow-starring rom-com.
Mendoza spoke to /Film about "Warfare," explaining that the film doesn't try to be a pro or anti-war story but a frenetic account of events and the fallout of each...

Michael Gandolfini’s Transformative ‘Warfare’ Journey Included a Surprising Connection to His Father
A week before Christmas 2023, Michael Gandolfini was lying on the floor of his Airbnb in Los Angeles with his phone taped to the ceiling. He was attempting to video a self-tape for a scene that, as scripted, needed him on the ground, and with no one around that particular day to help, he improvised. Tape meet phone meet the ceiling.
It was unusual to get asked to audition so close to the holidays, and he didn’t have the ideal setup. But the project, Warfare, was one he didn’t want to pass up.
Based on the experiences of co-director Ray Mendoza’s time in the Navy SEALs, Warfare (out this weekend via A24) is a retelling of the day during the Battle of Ramadi in the Iraq War that saw Mendoza’s platoon attempt to evacuate two members of their team after they were severely wounded in an Ied explosion.

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is shooting in New York, and new videos from the show's set reveal all Hell breaking loose at Fogwell's Gym in Hell's Kitchen.
As you can see below, the Man Without Fear and Bullseye come crashing through the gym's window; however, it appears they jump through individually, with Bullseye running off before the Man Without Fear heads in the same direction.
Moments later, the Anti-Vigilante Task Force bursts through the doors on the hunt for the vigilante and villain. Is it possible they're forced to work together? That may be the case, though it's just as likely that the hero stops Dex from killing Mayor Fisk before they're both forced to flee from the cops.

Vincent D'Onoforio is best known for his role as Kingpin within Marvel television. He's been the antithesis to Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in the Netflix series Daredevil and the Disney+ original series Daredevil: Born Again. D'Onofrio has also appeared as Kingpin in The Punisher, Hawkeye, and Echo. His acting as the Kingpin and the physical presence as well as the emotional depth he brings to the character has been praised by both fans and critics.

Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers ahead for Daredevil: Born Again
This week’s Daredevil: Born Again felt like we were back in the Netflix original’s territory again. The penultimate episode of the season saw intense drama between Matt Murdock, Wilson Fisk, and Vanessa, with Benjamin ‘Bullseye’ Poindexter making a comeback after killing Foggy Nelson in the season premiere.
New details emerged about who was behind Foggy’s death in the show, but the biggest question among fans is why Matt jumped to save Wilson Fisk from almost certain death. Matt gets shot and ends up with what seems like a dangerous flesh wound. However, this might be the perfect opportunity to bring back Karen Page to the show.

The evil twin brother who everyone thought was dead. It was actually Alan who died and Martin took over his life to keep doing his experiments. Sadly, Traci got involved with him romantically.

While his other senses are heightened, yes, and that allows him to do a slew of stunts and act as if he is not blind, there are other aspects of his life, such as maintaining his civilian identity that could have done with some more visually impaired representation.

There is no doubt that Daredevil: Born Again has been able to win over fans who were largely skeptical of the updates that they received during the production of the show.

As work continues on Daredevil: Born Again season 2, Wilson Bethel has been spotted on set back in costume as Bullseye. While the suit appears almost identical to the one featured in the show's pilot episode, those who saw it have claimed the mask now features the classic "bullseye" logo.
That's an exciting addition and one that was perhaps to be expected. After all, the Man Without Fear will have the "Dd" symbol on his new black costume when the series returns to Disney+ next year.
When it comes to what's happening here, it appears Mayor Wilson Fisk takes on "Matter Horn" in a charity boxing match, beats the ever-loving hell out of the guy, and is then targeted by a vengeful Bullseye. And it all goes down at Fogwell's Gym!

Jessica Capshaw Audition White Lotus ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Jessica Capshaw has always had that magnetic mix of charm and confidence, whether she’s gliding through hospital corridors in Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Arizona Robbins or lighting up interviews with her signature warmth. A true TV favorite, she spent nearly a decade making viewers fall in love with her character’s sass, smarts, and roller-skating entrances. And let’s not forget, acting runs in her blood; she’s the daughter of Kate Capshaw and the stepdaughter of Steven Spielberg, so storytelling kind of comes naturally.
Since leaving the Or, she’s been juggling family life and screen time like a pro, occasionally popping up in films and shows while raising four kids. But don’t mistake her quieter screen presence for retirement, Jessica’s still very much in the game. She’s got her eyes on one particular and seriously buzzworthy show.

2025 may be a quarter way through, but in the world of TV the year is still incredibly young. And so even though we’ve already been down to the severed floor for Severance Season 2, stared at our reflection once again in Charlie Brooker's Netflix series Black Mirror, brought out the billy clubs for Disney+ must-see show Daredevil: Born Again, and had our collective socks knocked off by Philip Barantini's Adolescence, a veritable streaming smorgasbord still lies ahead of us over the next eleven months or so.
From Andor to Zero Day, The Last Of Us to Stranger Things, and Alan Partridge to Wonder Man to Doctor Who, there is no shortage of returning favourites, fresh franchise offerings, original programming, weekly droppers and binge-ready shows in store for us before the year is through. So whether you’re chomping at the bit for Sally Wainwright’s Happy Valley follow-up,...

Daredevil: Born Again has been an incredibly successful entry in the MCU. As the finale approaches, Ayelet Zurer, who plays the formidable and ruthless Vanessa Fisk, explained how the wife of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk doesn’t think the same as other characters, and, in turn, revealed how all the characters in the series are playing out its real hidden theme. Although it can be easy to believe that all MCU shows and movies are just about grown adults in costumes saving the world in their own way, Zurer says Born Again is actually about something very different.
Vanessa Fisk’s story has not played out without its challenges, but in recent episodes, she has proven to be just as deadly as her husband. For Zurer, that makes her a very interesting and complex character to play, and those complexities are what Daredevil: Born Again is really about. The...

It's been five years since Disney+ arrived in the UK, changing the streaming game almost overnight and making the daily struggle to choose what to watch next that bit harder. (We know — poor us!) Armed with the Infinity Gauntlet of IP — Marvel, Disney, Star Wars, Pixar, and Fox — and an ever-growing catalogue of offerings pooled from elsewhere, the House of Mouse has created a veritable content utopia where there truly is something for everyone. How many other platforms do you know where you can cross the Polynesian horizon with a demigod (Moana 2), take a trip around Poland with Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin (A Real Pain), and see a Daredevil born again (we reckon you can figure that one out) all without having to switch streamers?

The nine episode first season of the Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again just made its premiere on Disney+ last month (you can read our review Here), and we’re already closing in on the end of the run – but the good news is, season 2 already started filming at the end of February, so we shouldn’t have to wait too long for the next batch of episodes. Although the initial plan was to rework some elements and make Daredevil: Born Again stand separate from the Netflix Daredevil series (despite sharing some cast members), the show underwent a creative overhaul when the writers and actors strikes shut down production in 2023. Now, this series is a direct follow-up to the Netflix series, picking up five years later… but that doesn’t mean it’s anything like what a Daredevil season 4 on Netflix would have been, as that season, if it had happened,...

One of the most surprising yet fascinating revelations from Dcu’s initial announcement was Swamp Thing, which is set to be helmed by James Mangold, the mind behind the best X-Men movie to date.
As for potential contenders for the role, back in 2023, Vincent D’Onofrio entertained the prospect of headlining the live-action Alec Holland.

Although the release window for the movie still remains under the curtains, the Marvel star has once again ignited the discussion surrounding this potential casting, and some fans aren’t too thrilled by this prospect.
Fans are divided over Vincent D’Onofrio’s desire to headline Swamp Thing
Barring Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio’s performance in Netflix’s Daredevil was arguably the biggest highlight of the series, and it’s easy to see why many were thrilled by his jump to the mainline MCU.

Vincent D'Onofrio has reaffirmed his desire to join the DC Universe as a specific horror-tinged character. The Daredevil: Born Again star, who plays fan-favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe villain Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, recently shared that Swamp Thing would be the other character he'd like to play on the big or small screen.
Responding to a fan on X, D'Onofrio wrote that "Swamp Thing" would be the other character besides Wilson Fisk that he would want to play. This isn't the first time that the actor has expressed interest in playing Swamp Thing. Back in 2023, he retweeted a feature article from Cbr by Nicholas Brooks — which made the case for why the actor should jump from the MCU to the Dcu to play Alec Holland/Swamp Thing — and captioned it, "Love this." The retweet drove fans wild with speculation, especially once DC Studios head James Gunn liked D'Onofrio's post. A couple of days later,...

Daredevil: Born Againdirectors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have pulled back the curtain on one of the more compelling aspects of the penultimate episode. After being absent from the series since Episode 1, Daredevil: Born Again Episode 8 features the return of Wilson Bethel’s Benjamin Poindexter, aka Bullseye. Matt (Charlie Cox) nearly kills Bullseye in the premiere after he murders of Foggy (Elden Henson), and now seven episodes later, it’s time for a check-in. Juxtapose to Daredevil’s red, Bethel’s scenes as Bullseye both in the prison and at the black and white ball in Daredevil: Born Again Episode 8 are shaded with tints of blue. During a recent interview with Brandon Davis of Phase Hero, Daredevil: Born Again directors Benson and Morehead explained this choice:
Benson: "The whole thing with the blue lighting and the blue flowers and all of that was something we were laser-focused on because of our weird love for Bullseye.

Recently, Kyle Richards reached out to Garcelle after the announcement, but she did not respond to any of her messages.

Daredevil Final Episode Poster (Photo Credit – Instagram)
The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen is limping into the final round, and it’s been one hell of a fight. Eight episodes deep, Daredevil: Born Again has delivered everything from rooftop angst and hallway brawls to a twisted art freak with a paintbrush for a conscience. Episode 8 raised the stakes to be unbearable, with Matt practically sniffing Fisk’s cologne as he closes in on the mayor-turned-menace. Meanwhile, Muse keeps stacking up crimes like they’re collector’s items, and let’s not forget the tragic fallout from Hector Ayala’s death. Oh, and Matt’s girlfriend? Still kidnapped. Still in serious danger.
What started as a reluctant comeback for Matt has turned into a full-blown crusade, and it’s all snowballing toward the episode 9 finale. The cat-and-mouse dynamic between Daredevil and Fisk has never felt this personal, this raw, or this inevitable.

Hell’s Kitchen has been strangely quiet, too quiet. The kind of calm that feels like it’s holding its breath before all hell breaks loose. Matt Murdock’s been doing his red-suited dance with crime, throwing punches and legal jargon, but something’s been missing, a storm brewing just off-screen. Tension’s been simmering, with old grudges and unfinished business crackling under the surface like a lit fuse waiting for the boom.
Now, word on the street is episode 9 is about to rip the lid off everything we thought this season was building toward. Cast insiders are teasing something seismic, something brutal, something fans won’t be emotionally prepared for, and honestly, we believe them. It’s not just a twist. It’s a gut-punch. Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again Episode 8
Daredevil: Born Again Episode 8 had some shocking twists that proved to the audience that Wilson Fisk isn’t the real big baddie of the series. The series kicked off with the shocking death of Foggy Nelson, and we now know who sent Benjamin Poindexter aka Bullseye after him.
The show perfectly crafted the villainous turn of a character who was there by the sidelines right from the Netflix days of the series. Fans have underestimated Vanessa Fisk for so long, but the recent episode, titled Isle of Joy, depicted a side of Vanessa that is as brutal as that of her husband.

This story contains spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again Episode 8.
Ayelet Zurer, who plays Vanessa Fisk in Daredevil: Born Again, has spoken about her character’s involvement in Foggy Nelson’s death. This shocking revelation came at the end of the the eight and penultimate episode of the series.
Zure spoke to ScreenRant about the big twist, repeating that there would be “consequences” for her character's actions: " There are always consequences in the show for everyone; everyone's action will have consequences.” This was in regard not only to murdering Elden Henson’s Foggy but also her former lover, Adam.
Foggy died during the opening episode of the series when Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) shot him in the heart outside Josie’s bar in Hell’s Kitchen. This is seemingly an act of revenge for his role in the downfall of Bullseye and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onforio) in Netflix’s Daredevil season...

It will not be a lie to accept that Daredevil: Born Again has brought back Marvel its lost glory. The series has been better than most of the recent MCU content and has also impressed the Netflix Daredevil fans. The latest episode also ended on a high note and promised an intense finale for Season 1.

In the end — or at least in its penultimate installment — “Daredevil: Born Again” kept things pretty simple. For weeks we’ve noted the contrasts and parallels between Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) as they circled each other ahead of an inevitable showdown.
But it was also always about a man grieving his best friend and fighting the less savory emotions that come with that. Justice was served in the assassination of Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), but was that ever going to be enough for Matt? Will anything?
The twain converge in Episode 108, “Isle of Joy,” directed Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead and written by Jesse Wigutow & Dario Scardapane. After being held hostage and shooting her captor in Episode 7, Heather (Margarita Levieva) is invited to a black and white ball by Mayor Fisk himself — an invitation that Matt rightfully views as a threat. The mere mention of Fisk...

Spoiler Alert !!!This article contains spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again
Bullseye’s entrance into the MCU marked a paradigm-shifting tragedy in the life of Matt Murdock. After his conviction in Daredevil: Born Again episode, the year after he assassinated Foggy Nelson, the character has once again surfaced in the MCU, and this time, he has a visual upgrade unlike any other.
Daredevil: Born Again has been applauded for its visionary storytelling when it comes to adapting powers to the MCU. The first instance of this was when Matt first used his heightened senses, which was communicated by the aspect ratio of the frame changing. Now, a similar cinematic technique has been used to communicate the powers of Benjamin Poindexter.

There’s a new Urich in town and, just like her uncle before her, Bb is all about digging up the truth and rooting out corruption — and getting way too deep into Wilson Fisk’s risky business in the process. Played by “Candy Cane Lane” and “#blackAF” star Genneya Walton, Bb Urich is the next generation investigative NYC reporter in “Daredevil: Born Again,” pounding pavement for her man-on-the-street ‘Bb Report’ interviews, penning editorials and courting access to the rich, powerful and corrupt power players of the city who can help her get the scoop.
“She’s really powered by truth and integrity,” Walton told TheWrap. “I think she really values being the voice of people that might not otherwise have it.”
Naturally, that’s going to pit her against a figure of rampant corruption like Wilson Fisk, but the two also have bad blood that runs deeper. Fisk killed Bb...

This story contains spoilers from Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, Episode 8.
The first season of Daredevil: Born Again is already almost over with its penultimate episode dropping on April 8. Setting up what seems to be an explosive finale for the season while Adam was put into an unfortunate predicament with his imprisonment.
Speaking about the episode with Cbr, Ayelet Zurer (Vanessa Fisk) commented on how her character handles Adam, which saw her make quick work of him as Wilson (Vincent D'Onofrio) watched. Zurer noted how it's all a part of Vanessa revealing her "true nature," as she's look to prove her "trust."
As Zurer explained, "Well, if the show is about true nature, it is part of the theme. 'What is your true nature?' Is it her true nature, the way she handles Adam? I'm not sure. It was a discussion. And also I feel like, in the sense of...

There's now only one episode left before Daredevil: Born Again season 1 wraps up, and in New York, work is already underway on season 2. That's led to some pretty sizeable spoilers finding their way online, including the return of Wilson Bethel as Bullseye.
This confirms Dex survives whatever happens in the finale, and as he was spotted in street clothes, it seems then former FBI Agent will be going incognito after trying and failing to gun down Mayor Wilson Fisk.
It's hard to say where things go next for Dex, though we're hoping he dons a costume that's even more comic-accurate than the one we saw in Daredevil: Born Again's premiere.
Before the show's creative overhaul, there were no plans for Bullseye to return. Foggy was set to be killed by a corrupt cop, and the Man Without Fear wasn't set to get his rematch with the assassin who never misses.

We’re reintroduced to Foggy Nelson’s killer at the beginning of Daredevil: Born Again Episode 8, "Isle of Joy." A vibey entrance depicts a prisoner picking a blue rose backed by lush indie music. Then we cut to Benjamin Leonard Poindexter, better known as Bullseye, who is being moved to the Gen Pop wing of the prison where he is incarcerated. Fisk ordered the move. The kicker is that we don’t know which Fisk did it: Wilson or Vanessa.
With this subtle yet sinister opening, “Isle of Joy” sets the table for one of the more thrilling episodes this season. And – while there are certainly still a number of strange hiccups along the way – I can genuinely recommend this one for a pretty good time.
