In a 180-degree tone shift from Blair’s previous film (the moody, brooding psych-thriller Deadly Revisions), Garden Party Massacre is a fast-paced romp where both catsup and blood flow freely. Based on his FANtastic Horror Film Festival winning script, writer/director Gregory Blair helms the film which tells the tale of a friendly backyard gathering that goes awry when an unexpected guest shows up… With a pickax and an attitude! Things go south from there as the guests try to survive.
Blair compares the film to other comedy horror features like Shaun of the Dead and Tucker and Dale vs. Evil and says:
I love films that successfully walk that line between horror and comedy, whether it’s witty and referential like Scream or giddy low camp like Army of Darkness.
Blair also steps in front of the camera along with Nichole Bagby (On the Rocks), Andy Gates (Grimm), Lise Hart...

Two's company and three's a crowd--but four can soar! At least that's what the good folks at haRFMFul Productions, Sick Puppy Pictures, MOnsterworks66 and Lion Arch Productions believe as they prep a three-feature slate to shoot in Louisiana later this year or early in 2016!

*full disclosure: an online screener of this film was provided by director Gregory Blair. **there are spoilers here. Director/writer: Gregory Blair. Cast: Bill Oberst Jr., Mikhail Blokh, Cindy Merrill and Lise Hart. Deadly Revisions is an indie horror feature from director Gregory Blair. Starring Bill Oberst Jr., Mikhail Blokh, Cindy Merrill and Lise Hart, this film involves one character gently drifting farther and farther away from reality. In fact, the character Torn's break from reality is so great, that the film's main story comes into question. Which characters are real and which are not? It is difficult to trust a protagonist with so many delusions. Still, Deadly Revisions is an enjoyable film, in which the protagonist devolves into something more and more monstrous. Torn (Oberst Jr.) is a jealous man. He believes that his wife is cheating on him and he wants to know who the other man is.

Hollywood Skewers Itself in a Dark, Snarky Film About The Horrors of Filmmaking
Horror comes to Hollywood in more ways than one in Grunder Oakley Productions’ “National Born Filmmaker,” which has begun shooting this month. “National Born Filmmaker” focuses on the story of two filmmakers as their Hollywood dream that turns into a nightmare. Zombies included.
Described as both a cautionary tale as well as a spoof, "Natural Born Filmmaker" puts a searing magnifying glass on the workings of Hollywood as it reveals what happens when you mix naive producers, shady investors and carefully calculated contracts. And it does it all with a wry sense of self-awareness that hasn’t been captured since “The Bad and the Beautiful.” The resulting mix of horror and hilarity makes for a thrilling rollercoaster ride of raging hostilities, blazing guns and…did we mention zombies?

Dept. of Monsterology: ”Officially, it’s the Department of Cryptozoology, Mythological Studies, Parapsychology and Fortean Phenomena. But to the rest of the students and staff at the Dunsany College, baffled by the cloak of secrecy that surrounds the Department and its affairs, it has another, more dismissive, name: The Department of Monsterology. Funded by the mysterious Hampton Foundation, the Dept. operates several field teams that roam the globe on extended research expeditions.
Their brief: to investigate the dark and unexplored corners of our world – the places we’ve forgotten, lost or believe to be mythical. And to study those things that may still be lurking there.

My favorite line from this trailer: “The blood and guts fly out….the camera does not stop rolling!”…Well, let’s hope not!
The movie’s lead actor, who is slicing his way through more than half-naked nubile bodies is Bill Oberst Jr. If you were at the screening of the St. Louis-lensed shocker Coyote last month at Mx Theater, you saw that film’s star Mr. Oberst who is currently swinging for the title of “Hardest Working Man In Horror” with no less than twelve major roles in independent horror films this year. Bill’s most famous role was as honest Abe in Abraham Lincoln Vs Zombies (2012), which, though not quite as good as Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter, was far superior than that boring-ass Speilberg movie.

Writer/director Gregory Blair, who created the Bill Oberst, Jr. vehicle Deadly Revisions, which is now in post-production, is proud to announce a new project, The Straying.
From the Press Release
Gregory Blair’s screenwriting is becoming known in the indie world for delivering creepy tales of horror and suspense. Deadly Revisions (currently in post-production with Pix/See Productions) tells the tale of an amnesiac horror film writer who battles nightmarish memories. The Sisterhood (currently in pre-production with Enmar Productions as The Gateway) pits a murderess against some increasingly suspicious nuns. Blair’s newest creation, The Straying, promises not only to go down a similar dark path, but to take a few unexpected turns.
"It’s a monster movie," Blair admits, "But it’s a monster movie unlike any other." In The Straying, two creatures with very different histories and world views are thrust together with unexpected results. "While there...
