The Portrait

I liked this short film for its special gifts - the remind of portrait of Dorian Gray and the art of Francis Bacon.

But this is only a part of its virtues.

The basic , for me, is the story itself and the smart use of tools who, at first sight, easy ( and unfair ( can be defined as clichees.

A young man finds , among few paintings, a portrait who seems representing...himself. He buys it and sit front him. And, as a sort of piece of clay, is modelated by painting in precise, dramatic - grace music the effect is just significant - to the radical one.

Beautiful sounds strange but it is a real beautiful, wise crafted horror .
