Inside Out 2 director Kelsey Mann revealed what type of anxiety Maya Hawke’s character is in Pixar’s highly-anticipated animated sequel.

Following the record-breaking trailer launch for Inside Out 2, fans met one of the acclaimed franchise’s newest characters in the form of Anxiety, Riley’s orange-colored emotion voiced by the Stranger Things star. Speaking with Empire Magazine, Mann shared his excitement about Hawke’s character, teasing her role in the overall storyline for Inside Out 2."I’m especially excited about Anxiety …" he said. "There are a lot of different types of anxiety, but we’re really leaning into social anxiety, wanting to fit in and be part of a group. Wondering, 'Am I good enough?'"
