Both herself and her husband were offered a seat on the Lifeboat, but her husband refused saying he wouldn't board before any other man, So she she too refused to go on a lifeboat stating that she and her husband had been together for many years and why separate now. Then she said wherever he goes she goes. The two ended up going down with the Titanic.
