Disney and Starbucks have released brand new Disney Parks tumblers. Each tumbler features a Walt Disney World or Disneyland Park and comes with two special mystery pins! They are currently available on the Disney Store.
Honestly, the mystery pins seem like a cheap way to raise the price of these to $49.99, but I digress.
Let’s take a look!

Every studio has its hits, and Disney is no exception. Despite the studio’s massive influence, it’s still prone to producing pop culture duds. Yet, many of those “flops” are important stepping stones. They help the studio learn what works and — more importantly — how to create something better. One of the studio’s most unappreciated stepping stones hit theaters in May 2000. Dinosaur’s rubbery behemoths may not have aged gracefully, but their uncanny appearances highlighted the studio’s lofty ambitions.
Fans should think twice before judging the visuals of Dinosaur too harshly, as the world’s first feature-length CGI film, Toy Story, debuted just five years earlier. Though the former film’s visuals have undoubtedly aged, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The “outdated” effects of Dinosaur are a CGI time capsule, and they reflect what was once considered the most advanced technological achievements in digital animation.

When Will Finn's and John Standford's animated musical Western "Home on the Range" was released, it came with an elegiac announcement. Disney, you see, had been struggling throughout the early 2000s. The 1990s renaissance was over, and much of the studio's more recent output was either failing critically or commercially. Films like "Fantasia 2000," "The Emperor's New Groove," and "Atlantis: The Lost Empire" were only modest successes, while films like "Dinosaur" and "Brother Bear" were coming and going without much notice. The studio's clunky sci-fi epic "Treasure Planet" notoriously lost buckets of money, which didn't inspire confidence. It didn't help that DreamWorks was attracting huge animation audiences with films like "Shrek" — a notoriously anti-Disney movie.
As such, to appear competitive, Disney announced that "Home on the Range" was going to be the studio's last-ever traditionally hand-drawn feature film. After that, it was to be 100% CGI. Animation purists panicked, feeling...

One of the best dinosaur movies of all time secretly destroyed Jim Henson's prehistoric passion project before it ever had the chance to be realized. Whether it's Jurassic Park, Godzilla, or The Land Before Time, dinosaur movies have always been some of the most ambitious undertakings in cinema. As a man who chased his dreams, pushed boundaries, and challenged his audiences, Jim Henson's career is filled with projects that once sought to elevate storytelling to new heights, and when dealing with creatures as massive and bizarre as the Tyrannosaurus rex, Brontosaurus, and Stegosaurus, one must aim high just to bring them to life. The Natural History Project would have tested Henson like never before, and had it not been for unexpected circumstances,...

It's possible only Disney fans remember Bolt(2008). One of the first fully computer-generated movies Disney produced without the partnership of Pixar in the early 2000s. The studio was struggling to make the transition from hand-drawn animation to CGI at the time, and Bolt gave the studio the boost it needed. Starring John Travolta and a young Miley Cyrus, the movie follows a dog who believes he has the same superpowers as his TV persona. It premiered on November 17, 2008, at Disney's El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California, and ranked third at the box office in its opening weekend.

Disney has announced the closing date for one of the last opening-day attractions at Animal Kingdom, so here’s when you can see it for the last time!
Since opening in 1998, the Animal Kingdom, like any Disney park, has changed a lot. We’ve seen scores of additions like the Asia and Pandora expansions, new rides, and a big shift being planned, transforming Dinoland USA into an Encanto/Indiana Jones land.
Now, Disney has confirmed the final dates for one of the last Opening Day Dak attractions. Per Wdw’s own site, March 17 will be the final day to catch It’s Tough to Be a Bug at the park.

Jim Henson’s Dinosaurs may have been a groundbreaking '90s sitcom, but what came next was downright bizarre. The 1990s were a golden age for sitcoms, delivering unforgettable hits like Seinfeld, Friends, and Family Guy. At the same time, it was an era of experimentation, where studios aimed to push creative boundaries or build on past successes, sometimes with mixed results. One of the strangest attempts to recapture lightning in a bottle came from the Jim Henson Company. Their odd follow-up to Dinosaurs couldn’t have been more forgettable unless it included a visit from the Men in Black. DinoLand has been on its last legs with its initial crumbling starting in 2014, but now guests are finally seeing what really killed the dinos. As Disney races to extinction to bring in Indiana Jones and the Madrigals to take over, the company seems to be taking its time with one primary fixture.
When most people think of the Disney Parks, they tend to think of attractions with cute cartoons and the call to adventure, not gigantic animatronic monsters. While Disney isn't afraid to go dark on occasion, few were quite as in-your-face as this time-traveling terror.

Animal Kingdom is undergoing a major transformation as Dinoland U.S.A. is set to become Tropical Americas. A cornerstone of Animal Kingdom since the park's opening in 1998, the Dinosaur attraction will eventually be replaced by a new Indiana Jones-themed attraction.
The dark ride Emv is one of Animal Kingdom's more thrilling rides as it takes you on a turbulent journey through the late Cretaceous period to save an Iguanodon from extinction and bring it back to the Dino Institute.
The 2000 animated feature film that it's named after isn't as popular as more recent Disney movies that have released and, simply put, Dinoland U.S.A. felt like a cheap carnival. Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur has reportedly become the latest Marvel project to be canceled. Marvel Studios is not renowned for officially canceling their TV shows, with many of them instead gaining the limited series tag to avoid any kind of reputation for abandoning projects after a single season. However, it has been suggested that their Disney Channel animated series will not be advancing beyond its second season.
The news comes courtesy of X/Twitter user @owlphibia, who suggested that Disney Television Animation will not be following up the two highly-praised seasons of Moongirl and Devil Dinosaur with a third. While this kind of news usually has an equal chance of being just speculation, the reveal was given weight by storyboard artist Gabi Rode, who shared a comment that seemed to confirm the news. Fans may have been feeling they’ve had enough dinosaur movies over the past few years, but that’s simply because Chris Pratt’s Jurassic World trilogy has been rehashing the same plot, eventually veering away from the essence that made the original 1993 Jurassic Park a timeless classic.

With the news of an upcoming installment called Jurassic World Rebirth, many fans are hoping it will finally go back to its roots and cut back on unnecessary storylines. This is a movie about dinosaurs, after all, so it better be a film revolving around the subject creatures.

Omni-Man is not the deadliest character in Invincible, as Dinosaurus surpasses his body count by thousands. Dinosaurus, a lesser-known character, is the most brutal villain in Invincible history, killing over 586,000 people. Dinosaurus' mission is to disrupt civilization in an effort to help humanity, planting bombs in major areas.
Contrary to popular belief, Omni-Man is not the most dangerous character in Invincible. Since the franchise's rise in popularity, audiences have had the impression that Omni-Man is the most formidable character in the Invincible universe, having contributed to some of the most violent, brutal moments in the comics and onscreen. However, some readers would be shocked to know that Omni-Man doesn't even have the highest body count in the series.
Even more shocking, it's Dinosaurus who eclipses Omni-Man's body count, officially making him the most brutal character in Invincible history. For those who have only been watching the television series, the name...

Indiana Jones has a new adventure on the horizon.

Chris Sanders' and Dean De Blois' 2002 animated film "Lilo & Stitch" was released by Disney and was part of what might be considered a "low" period in the studio's history. Disney had a series of bangers in the 1990s, a period often referred to as the Disney Renaissance. That period came to an end in 2000 with the release of "Dinosaur," however, a technology experiment featuring life-like dinosaurs realized in CGI. That was followed by multiple expensive bombs, one right after the other, and almost all the films (from "Fantasia 2000" in 2000 through to "Bolt" in 2008) were costly misfires.
Only two from the period stand out. Mark Dindal's slapstick comedy "The Emperor's New Groove" and "Lilo & Stitch." The latter is deeply beloved by the children who saw it in 2002, and appreciate both its warmth and its weirdo edge.

Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan has left a long-lasting impression on the anime community. It will forever be treated as one of the greatest anime ever. Eren Jaeger sacrificed his life and 80% of the human population to save his friends. The out-of-the-box thinking is what made Attack on Titan such a popular anime. On top of that, several plot twists kept the fans on the edge of their seats.
Instead of using superpowers, he opted for a story where humanity was on the brink of extinction and where giant human-eating titans inhabited most of Paradise Island. Fans would be shocked to know he was inspired by the multiple Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park.

The early 2000s saw a shift from hand-drawn to computer-generated animation, challenging Disney's reign in the genre. While some iconic animated movies emerged, many others were either forgotten or never discovered by audiences. From forgotten gems like "Dinosaur" and "Treasure Planet" to flops like "Sinbad," the decade had a mix of hits and misses.
Early 2000s animated movies created an exciting decade for the genre. It saw the traditional hand-drawn animation style being mostly replaced by computer-generated animation. It was also a period in which Disney's reign as the best in the genre was challenged by other studios. While several iconic animated movies arrived that decade from Pixar and DreamWorks, there are also even more movies audiences either forgot about or never knew about in the first place, some better than others.

Dinosaur is a charming sitcom that explores important themes through humor and heart. Created by Ashley Storrie and Matilda Curtis, it tells the story of two sisters in Glasgow, Nina and Evie, who find their close bond challenged by unexpected change. Nina works as a paleontologist at the local museum, where her passion and quirky personality often clash with social expectations. She also happens to be autistic. When carefree Evie announces her sudden engagement after a brief romance, stable routines are upended for both sisters.
Nina and Evie are played brilliantly by real-life friends Storrie, who shares Nina’s neurodivergence, and Kat Ronney. These actors capture the sisters’ deep affection as well as their contrasting personalities. Through their relationship, Dinosaur examines what it means to be authentic while supporting loved ones. It also normalizes neurodiversity in a way that feels real rather than preachy. Viewers come to understand Nina not...

If the invitees all accept Academy membership, the total members will number 10,910 and voting members 9,934. Godzilla is a creature all his own, but he's often classified as a dinosaur; one dinosaur species, the Gojirasaurus, was even named in 1997 as a tribute to the King of the Monsters. It should go without saying, though, that Godzilla doesn't resemble any real fossils that paleontologists have found.
Godzilla was created in 1954, debuting in his first movie that year (directed by Ishirō Honda). There had been prior dinosaur movies, such as "The Lost World" and "King Kong" where the animals were brought to life with stop-motion, so audiences recognized the notion and imagery of a dinosaur. Still, scientific knowledge of these prehistoric beasts was more limited back then. "Godzilla" covers its bases by suggesting the creature was mutated via atomic radiation, but its star still looks little like any real dinosaur.
What makes one giant lizard-looking beast different from another? For starters, not even the largest of (discovered) dinosaurs even approach Godzilla's 300+ foot height.

So, when one finally arrives on our screens, especially one that has already showcased its honesty and entertainment, it is certainly a reason to rejoice. The BBC’s financial deficit is projected to reach nearly £500M next year as the corporation delivers what it has described as a “transformational budget.”

If you haven’t taken the leap to bundle Disney+ and Hulu, it might be time. Streaming is only getting more expensive and competitive, and the enticing bundle (which also includes ESPN) might be a version of cable TV, but it’s also just cost efficient. Disney+ and Hulu are so intertwined that their monthly listing updates come in the same email — and as such, we decided to compile them here for you in the same list.
Whether you have Disney+ or Hulu, or both (and the IndieWire staff has weighed on our favorites), each has its benefits. Disney has the family-friendly titles, the Star Wars and Marvel (new episodes of “The Bad Batch” and “X-Men: 97” continue through April), while Hulu is the place to catch FX originals and network episodes. Both streamers have the rights to distribute National Geographic titles, which are well worth exploring along with the rest of the library.
