Addressing rumors about a possible sale of M6, Larramendy deflected speculation: “Is M6 for sale? I don’t know. Ask our shareholder.” However, he acknowledged that the French media market needs consolidation. Due to current regulations, M6 cannot be sold before 2032, but he supports revisiting those rules.

“If the law changes, consolidation could happen,” he said, noting past interest from TF1 and new expressions of interest from others.

Exclusive: Wicked star Cynthia Erivo has boarded Lionsgate’s action thriller Karoshi from 87Eleven.

She will star in the movie alongside Teo Yoo and Isabel May (1883), as Deadline previously scooped.

87Eleven Entertainment’s Chad Stahelski, Alex Young and Jason Spitz are producing Karoshi through their deal with Lionsgate. The film will begin production in June, with Takashi Doscher directing from his own script.

The film is described as a corporate thriller with a samurai twist. Further plot details and role specifics for Erivo, Yoo and May are under wraps.

The Emmy, Grammy, and Tony-winning entertainer, who plays Elphaba in the Wicked movie, just dropped her new song “Replay.”

This marks Cynthia‘s first original release since her album Ch. 1 Vs. 1 was released back in September 2021.

While Cynthia hasn’t yet announced her upcoming sophomore album, her Wicked co-star Ariana Grande has teased that all of her favorite Cynthia songs are on it.

“I keep doing this really bad thing where I tease what’s coming, but all of my favorites are on her upcoming album… and I’m not kidding,” Ariana told Out. “It’s un-f*cking-believable.”

The Fulton County Medical Examiner confirmed his death to the Associated Press and Rolling Stone, among other news outlets. A cause of death has not been determined, with an autopsy scheduled for Friday. Initial reports indicated that the rapper died at his home, although the medical examiner later said in a press statement that it had been notified of the death by Atlanta’s Grady Memorial Hospital.

Born Dequantes Devontay Lamar in Atlanta, the rapper launched his music career in 2012 with mixtape Still Going In and the single “Differences.” His breakthrough came the following year with “Type Of Way,” which The New York Times described at the time as “dizzying.”

As a viewer born in the blurred area between Millennial and Gen Z, my relationship with "The Twilight Zone" has always been complicated. I love the original series, and definitely consider it to be stronger than any of the revivals, but I'm also frustrated with the sheer extent to which its flaws are glossed over. Despite what haters of Jordan Peele's 2019 revival might tell you, Rod Serling's original run wasn't shy of the occasional bit of preachy writing. It also had no shortage of clumsy exposition or questionable acting, as well as the occasional twist ending that either barely made sense or was way too easy to predict. The classic series has plenty of gems, but as Rod Serling himself will tell you, it had plenty of clunkers that were simply forgotten over time.

This dissonance was the biggest obstacle the 2019 revival of "The Twilight Zone" had to deal with.

Starring freshly broken up pairing of Valéria Bruni Tedeschi and Marina Foïs they become the life of the party in an emergency room setting where the character played by the equally obnoxious Pio Marmaï.…...

Lesbian couple Julie and Raphaëlle are on the brink of breaking up when the latter slips and smashes her elbow in “The Divide,” but if you zoom out, all of France seems to be at similar risk of shattering. The French title for “Replay” director Catherine Corsini’s 14th feature (her first to compete at Cannes since 2001), “La fracture,” does a better job of suggesting all the ways the country and her characters can’t be put back together again. But neither conveys the sheer exhaustion of spending a few hours in the emergency room of an overtaxed French public hospital.

If this were an episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” or “ER,” we’d know all the doctors, care about the patients and feel relatively certain that everything would reach some semblance of order by the end of the shift. But Corsini sets out to capture the pure chaos of a specific moment in time,...

The top prize there is the coveted Palme d’Or, and this will be the first time it’s awarded since 2019 when Bong Joon Ho’s “Parasite” claimed it. That film would go on to win the Oscar for Best Picture, becoming the first to claim both prizes since “Marty” did it in 1955. “Replay” will be introduced to international buyers at the upcoming virtual Cannes Film Market by The Exchange. CAA Media Finance is representing the domestic sales rights.
