Warning: This article contains spoilers for Insidious: The Red Door.Insidious: The Red Door is the fifth installment of the Insidious franchise and the final chapter of the Lambert family's horror, yet it ended with a lot of unanswered questions. It picks up ten years after the events of Insidious: Chapter 2, when Josh (Patrick Wilson) and Renai (Rose Byrne) Lambert are separated, and their eldest son Dalton (Ty Simpkins) is headed off to college. Both Josh and Dalton have had the memories of their astral projection, The Further, and its demonic entities suppressed through hypnosis, creating a fissure in their relationship that ultimately leads to estrangement.
Eventually, Dalton draws a picture of the Red Door in an art class that triggers a lost memory, and Josh goes down a rabbit hole investigating his family history after his mother's death, leading both men to independently reenter The Further and confront their demons,...

"Teen Wolf" is back for Season 3, and everything is new. New school year, new tattoos, new werewolves ... And of course there are many, many new problems.
Trouble is not ephemeral in the "Teen Wolf" world, after all.
Double your werewolf, double your fun
Season 3 begins unpleasantly for Isaac, what with the electroshock resuscitation and desperate motorcycle chase and all. The scene -- while filled with lots of action and motorcycle goodness -- is more than a little confusing.
All we know is that Isaac is in trouble, and he's being helped by a mystery girl on a motorcycle. Behind them are two super-identical and super-creepy (and, because this is "Teen Wolf," super-hot) twins. Even when Motorcycle Girl crashes through a wall of glass, the Wonder Twins stay close.
Then they somehow merge into one Incredible Hulk-like werewolf. That's bad**s.
While Isaac and Motorcycle Girl do make it alive to the hospital,...

We haven’t even reached the voting stage for the current installment of So You Think You Can Dance, and I’m about to do something profoundly presumptuous and undeniably stupid: In the wake of Thursday night’s telecast announcing the Season 8 Top 20 — a closely matched group that at first glance appears to be extraordinarily talented — I’ve decided to rest my neck on the guillotine and rank the contestants in order from least- to most-likely to win.
“It’s too early,” you say, and you are probably right. What’s more, a Top 20 ranking flies in the face of...

Q: As much as I like seeing all the scantily-clad men in Spartacus: Sand and Blood, I can’t help but wonder: how awkward must that be for the actors? – Walter, San Diego, CA
Spartacus (Andy Whitfield) gets sand in his codpiece
A: It’s definitely a challenge, at least according to Andy Whitfield, who plays Spartacus on the show.
“They hand you a costume, and you say, ‘That’s it?’” he tells AfterElton.com. “You go, ‘Okay, I’m going to have to create the rest of the character from my own flesh and blood.’ There’s nowhere to hide. You’ve got to show yourself to everyone who’s watching.”
Still, in some ways, the costume does help him get into character. “There’s no protection in what we wear.

Unlike the last two years, I wasn't able to be in Los Angeles this weekend. My mother is ill and not even Xena matters more to me than my mom. - I love this yearly piece from the folks @ IndieWIRE – it highlights the films that unfortunately find themselves by the waste side, that don’t get picked up, but that deservingly need to be seen. I’ve had the chance to catch a couple of these features - Three Times will most likely finds its way on my top 20 of the year (results published in February in 2006). Undiscovered Gems is a list from indieWIRE staffers and writers: Eugene Hernandez (editor-in-chief), Brian Brooks (associate editor), James Israel (administration and marketing), and contributors Erica Abeel, Howard Feinstein, Anthony Kaufman, Michael Koresky, Jonny Leahan, Lily Oei and Steven Rosen.
