The Kannada film Bhairathi Ranagal, the prequel to Mufti, was released in theaters on November 15, 2024. Initially, its Ott release saw the Kannada version premiering on Prime Video, followed by the Telugu release on Aha Telugu. Now, there’s great news for Shiva Rajkumar‘s Malayalam and Tamil fans! Their long-awaited wish has come true: Bhairathi Ranagal is now available in both Malayalam and Tamil on Sun Nxt.

Criminal is an upcoming Tamil action thriller film directed by Dhakshina Moorthy Ramar and produced by P.R.Meenakshi Sundaram & Ib. Karthikeyan. The film stars Gautham Karthik and Sarathkumar in the lead roles, along with Priya Anand, Karunakaran, Bala Saravanan, and Aadukalam Naren in supporting roles. The music for the film is composed by Sam Cs, while the cinematography is handled by Prasanna Kumar and the editing by Manikanda Balaji.

The film was announced in February 2020 and the shooting began in March 2020. However, the filming was halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic and resumed in December 2020. The film is expected to release in 2023.
