After listening to all the podcast episodes till now, I can say that it is a true psychological thriller audio series and those who are a big fan of Batman or DC then this podcast is rightfully dedicated to them. Sometimes I get into the series during some interesting conversation but sometimes because of some conversations, the whole link of interest breaks and that is where I felt that it should not be there.
The story starts to take shape in 2 episodes and the viewer will like that thing that no useless dialogues are used in the series and it is like 'What will happen next?!'.
A true psychological thriller podcast series I have ever heard till the date. Best thing about this podcast is casting. Every actor has done a great job in the series.

+ves
1) the idea of Bruce as a principled goth mortician would've been excellent if not for twist ruining it.
2) The podcasting is made for Batman, the methodical pace & the not over the top fantasy nature of Batman makes him the most apt Superhero for podcasting. While it may not have succeeded here, there's promise in Batman podcasts.
3) The voice actors were chosen for the role, While you may dislike the role (Barbara, Val) they did their job fine. But they also compounded the negatives of the role as they were efficient at it. Bruce Wayne was a good cast.
-ves Story, script, wokeness, characters, depth.
Batman while a dark genre was never a hateful one. The characters are disrespectful & entitled. Barbara treating her friend like an errand dog was disgraceful. The writers write characters like this & sprinkle woke dialogues like "all men are perverts."
Batman was the show which featured strong women before the modern woke who resemble the sexists of past started to shout slogans to exploit others. So keep your nonsense out of the most righteous superhero tale.
The subtle dialogues to thrust wokeness just ruins the experience. You either get irritated orbget brainwashed if you can't actively analyze their language.
The script was so average. It's no better than the gazillion detective stories out there. Written by people who don't understand the essence of Batman. Why would they, after all wokeness is Joker esque not Batman esque.
I can go on but I digress.

"Batman Unburied" is a new and fresh take on the character of Bruce Wayne. It's something you probably haven't heard before - but that doesn't mean that it strays too far away that it has hardly anything to do with Batman or the "Bat-Verse".
Without giving away too much: those who criticize that this doesn't feel like Batman at all are those, who stopped listening after two episodes. If you like Batman, listen to the end (so far it's 6 episodes with about 20 minutes each) and you will be rewarded. And you'll get some Arkham games flashbacks with a certain sound effect that they used throughout the series.
Plus: the Riddler has some funny dialogue.
Edit: After listening to the last four episodes, I need to adjust the rating. After the quite exciting and interesting build-up of the first six episodes, episodes 7 and 8 were a little boring and slow (they were used to introduce new characters). After that it was all very classic Batman, which we all know well. One of the things I enjoyed in the first half was the Riddler. Unfortunately he disappeared completely for 3.5 episodes in the second half of the podcast, which is really a shame. And the Batman voice is weird... like a "rough whisper" if that makes sense... So after 10 episodes it's more like a 5.5 or 6/10.

I'm not really into Audiobooks but thought I would give this a go today while I was out walking, wow a good solid first 2 episodes.
Voice acting was spot on and the story has been really interesting so far, I just wish The Batman was this deep and think they need to get David S Goyer writing Batman films again.
Winston Duke is great voicing Bruce Wayne and I can only review the first 2 episodes as edge of your seat stuff wondering what will happen next.

I couldn't help but notice some 1-star reviews that CLEARLY didn't listen past the first episode... Because their reasonings for not liking the show are void after 2 episodes. (MINOR SPOILER ABOUT FIRST EPISODE) the first episode is meant to be a little jarring- so if you're confused, good- it means you're a Batman fan and you should be a little confused.
All in all, I'm 6 episodes in and I'm impressed. In my personal opinion, it's a small step below Marvel's podcast "Wolverine: The Long Night" (season 1). And with that in mind, I would have given this series a 9/10 But in order to balance out the poor 1-star reviews, I've given it a 10.
