I watched the 8 part series in one evening. DeNero is DeNero and carries the retired president role very well.
The only "flaw" if you could call it that was Jesse Plemens as his sidekick. He just didn't do it for me although he's very good actor, just not my cup of tea for this one.
The premise is very current politically other than the suspect being Russians. As the USA is now switching allies, in real life, the movie industry will be hard pressed to find bette villains.
The sets are wonderful and if there was AI, it was very very well done.
Dan Stevens is just so amazing an actor that is easy to hate which shows how wonderful he was as Even Green. I almost didn't recognize him.
DeNero produced this series. He did well with the supporting cast being seasoned professionals.
