The Venice Murders

I can't believe I've sat through such rubbish. The whole story is farcical and the acting is terrible. Considering it's supposed to be based on a true story, it's far from being realistic. The scenery is the best part and shows Venice off as the most beautiful city that it is. But so much of the story is wooden from start to finish. No involvement with the police until they suddenly appear. The best part was the family involvement in many ways. Of course being in Italy the wonderful music was a lovely inclusion what more can be said about such a poorly produced and directed film which I'm amazed has even received the star rating it has.

Sophie hopkins plays celia a budding art student that wants to go to art school venice. We start the film with a young woman getting kidnapped there but nothing else is really known about her. She has an aunt the mother never got along with, which is why she lives there but once she is there her new romate evie goes missing not long after. A guy at the docks meets her and he gives off bad vibes. Acting is sub par though I think the main actress did alright actually. She must team up with the aunt to find her and she seems to just go along with it.overall good to watch but the venice murders is a bit of a far fetched film.

This is a dreadful movie. Poor writing, average acting. Just view it for the odd bit of scenery. If I could rate less than 1 I would.

The story and plot is so obvious that you know it all in the first 5 mins, then sadly you have to sit through an hour and a half to get to the end.

The acting in the last 10 mins is even worse. Its like the actors realise they made a bad decision signing on for this movie and just hammed it up in the end.

In all honesty I can't add any more. It is just dreadful, a waste of leisure time and cringe worthy throughout. How this kind of movie is ever funded beats me.

The ending could not have come around any quicker, had to distract myself from the awful acting by concentrating on the beautiful buildings & scenery of Venice. What a waste of film. I need a medal for sitting through that, I don't think I have walked away from a film so annoyed. I still have around 300 characters to fill in so they accept this review but after watching this film I am struggling to come up with anything more, it has made my brain fall asleep. So save your time and watch something else, anything else as this has to be the worst movie I have watched in ages. I love Venice but definitely no love for this movie.
