Logan Lerman has been tapped for a recurring guest star role in Season 5 of Hulu’s Emmy-winning whodunit dramedy “Only Murders in the Building,” Variety has confirmed.

Specifics on Lerman’s role are currently unknown. He joins other Season 5 cast members Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz and Keegan-Michael Key. Plot details for Season 5, which is currently in production, remain under wraps.

Lerman made his breakout debut starring as the moody teen son of Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea, in 2010’s “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief,” Chris Columbus’ adaptation of Rick Riordan’s YA novel of the same name. His other film credits include “Oh, Hi!,” “Bullet Train,” “Shirley” and “End of Sentence.” On the TV side, Lerman recently starred in Hulu’s eight-episode limited series “We Were the Lucky Ones” opposite Joey King, as well as Prime Video’s crime drama “Hunters” with Al Pacino.

Veteran exec Julie Waters and Evan Dyal have launched the production and finance company Watermark Media, which is already co-financing and producing a slate of five projects since its 2024 founding.

Watermark is behind the Molly Gordon feature Oh, Hi! which launched out of the 2025 Sundance Film Festival where Sony Pictures Classics picked it up. Other Watermark projects include Joel Alfonso Vargas’ Made Bills to Pay, which also premiered at Sundance before heading to the Berlin Film Festival.

Waters is a longtime executive whose tenure at Temple Hill Entertainment included producing the critically acclaimed FX series Dave and worked on Hulu series Love, Victor and The Other Black Girl. She launches Watermark after overseeing film and television at Rachel Brosnahan’s Scrap Paper Pictures. Dyal co-founded Watermark after a career in real estate development.

Joining Waters and Dyal are COO and partner Aaron Millberg, overseeing business development and operations, and development executive Lexi Kroll.

Sony Pictures Classics has acquired all worldwide rights to Oh, Hi!, written and directed by Sophie Brooks (The Boy Downstairs). The film, Brooks’ sophomore feature, stars Molly Gordon, Logan Lerman, Geraldine Viswanathan, and John Reynolds. It premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Oh, Hi! is produced by David Brooks, Dan Clifton, Julie Waters, Sophie Brooks, and Molly Gordon. Evan Dyal, Justin Brown, and Evan Moore are executive producers alongside Sabina Friedman-Seitz, Molly Quinn, Matthew M. Welty, and Elan Gale.

Oh, Hi! has now found a studio. The upcoming dark romantic comedy, which was written and directed by Sophie Brooks (The Boy Downstairs), follows a couple - Iris and Isaac (Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief star Logan Lerman) - whose new marriage swiftly unravels when they embark on a road trip. The cast of the movie, which has already earned a solidly Fresh Rotten Tomatoes score of 72%, also includes Blockers' Geraldine Viswanathan and Stranger Things supporting player John Reynolds.

Worldwide rights to the charming romantic comedy starring Molly Gordon and Logan Lerman, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, have been acquired by Sony Pictures Classics. The film was written and directed by Sophie Brooks from a story that Brooks and Gordon conceived together, with a supporting cast that includes Geraldine Viswanathan, John Reynolds and a very funny David Cross.

The official synopsis describes the film as, “Iris (Gordon) and Isaac’s (Lerman) first romantic weekend getaway as a couple goes awry. Convinced that he’s just confused, Iris goes to extreme lengths to prove to him that they are meant to be together.”

You ever tie someone up and then leave them there? Me either. But it sure makes an interesting inciting incident for a movie. Something much more relatable is the romantic getaway––an important milestone in any new relationship. All that unadulterated time together does wonders to get to know someone, truths unearthed and informing the future of a relationship. Iris (Molly Gordon) and Isaac’s (Logan Lerman) trip kicks off like an AirBnb commercial in Oh, Hi! But what begins as a fun weekend loses its appeal; unfortunately the film follows suit.

On their first trip together, Iris and Isaac enjoy the platonic ideal of a weekend away: duetting Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ “Islands in the Stream,” reading while drinking big glasses of wine on the porch, and having spontaneous day sex on the couch. The two make a cute pair backed up by Gordon and Lerman’s natural onscreen chemistry.

As the couple in Oh, Hi! struggles to fully commit, the Sundance Film Festival romantic-comedy from Sophie Brooks also struggled to connect with its audience.

Writer-director Brooks’ sophomore feature stars Molly Gordon and Logan Lerman as Iris and Isaac, a new couple who go on a romantic getaway that comes to a screeching halt when they reach a misunderstanding about their relationship status. On Tuesday (February 4), it was announced that the 29-year-old actress – best known for her roles in The Bear, Theater Camp, and Booksmart – will be directing, writing, and starring in A24‘s upcoming comedy Peaked.

Molly will be co-writing the screenplay with her friend Allie Levitan, who was recently hired as a writer on Saturday Night Live.

Just last week, Molly was at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival promoting her new movie Oh, Hi! with co-star Logan Lerman.

The 33-year-old actor and his longtime love hit up their local Lazy Acres Natural Market on Friday (January 31) to stock up on a few bags’ worth of items.

On Sunday (January 26), Logan joined his co-star Molly Gordon at the premiere of their new movie Oh, Hi!, which is getting lots of buzz already!

Later this week, we can likely expect Logan and Ana to attend the 2025 Critics Choice Awards.

Logan is nominated for Best Support Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television for his work in Hulu’s We Were The Lucky Ones. The show is also up for Best Limited Series!

After breaking out on “The Bear” and starring in last year’s “Theater Camp,” Molly Gordon is teaming with A24 for a new comedy film called “Peaked.” Gordon will direct and star in the movie, which she co-wrote with Allie Levitan.

“Peaked” was written by Gordon and Levitan, a writer for “Saturday Night Live.” The shoot is scheduled for later this year. David Hinojosa and Zach Nutman of 2Am will produce alongside Gordon and A24. Levitan will executive produce. Topic Studios, who previously collaborated with Gordon on Theater Camp, will co-finance.

Relationships can make people do wild things. Especially difficult are the relationships that don’t go as planned, where two people want opposite things or are simply in different places in their lives. It’s rough when one person cares deeply, while the other doesn’t care nearly enough. It’s painful enough to do something…a bit unhinged. That’s what happens in Oh, Hi!, a sort of non-rom rom-com by writer-director Sophie Brooks. This clever mixture of love and Miseryfeels almost like a throwback to the halcyon days of mumblecore, where all a comedy really needed was a killer concept and a fantastic cast — which Oh, Hi! has in spades on both counts.

Per TikTok, IMDb interviewed Lerman about his role in 20th Century Fox's ill-fated Percy Jackson movies and whether he'd be interested in making a cameo in the Disney+ series alongside new Percy actor Walker Scobell. "Yeah, of course," he said, adding, "I mean, that hasn't, you know, no conversation's happened. But yeah, I mean, yeah why not?" Lerman also discussed his positive relationship with Percy Jackson's TV cast, describing Scobell as "like a friend. The premise of writer-director Sophie Brooks’ send-up of millennial dating mores, “Oh, Hi!,” hinges on an abrupt reversal of its trajectory near the end of its first act. It’s arguable whether or not this is a “twist” given how early it happens. The program notes for its Sundance Film Festival premiere do not mention this turn in the narrative. However, in press for the film out of the premiere, star and co-story developer Molly Gordon has not been shy about mentioning a key inspiration for the tone.

Oh, Hi! follows Iris and Isaac’s first romantic weekend getaway, which goes awry in a most unexpected way. When they find a secret closet filled with sex toys, Isaac becomes the one tied up with handcuffs. But when Iris finds out that he’s not feeling the same about their relationship, she keeps him tied up for over 12 hours.

It could practically be its own subgenre by now – the low-cost indie that gets maximum production value out of being set completely in a cabin in the woods.
