Korean dramas are branching into more genres as time goes on, ranging from horrors to psychological thrillers, as opposed to being mostly romance-oriented a decade ago. As a result, viewers are rarely bored with K-dramas, and the wide variety properly entertains them without making them lose interest.
While many Korean dramas have been adapted from webtoons in recent years, many more popular webtoons have yet to be made into dramas. In February 2024 alone, various highly anticipated K-dramas were released, including Branding in Seongsu, A Killer Paradox, and Wedding Impossible. With that said, here are some exciting Korean dramas to watch in March 2024.

K-dramas often feature nonsensical and unintentionally funny storylines, but criticism comes from a place of love for the genre. In It's Okay to Not Be Okay, the plot twist of Moon-young's mother being alive raises questions about the feasibility of her obtaining a new identity and job. Plot holes in K-dramas like My Love From Another Star and Hyde, Jekyll, Me create inconsistencies in characters' actions and storylines.
Despite delivering compelling character arcs, some K-dramas feature plots that simply don't make any sense. International shows, especially ones from South Korea, have gained global popularity in recent years. Many streaming platforms, have picked up existing Korean shows and started making streamer-exclusive K-dramas, hence why Netflix has so many K-dramas. The ease of access opens this genre up to an entirely new audience.

Whether it is their “wholesome sexiness,” their clever original concepts or top-notch production values and scripts, Korean TV shows are generating a lot of talk — among audiences in Asia especially, where in many cases Korean show rate highest after local content.
There are also significant pockets of fans in North and South America, and the Middle East, that drive the social media numbers of stars such as Lee Min-ho (“City Hunter”), Kim Soo-hyun (“My Love From the Star”) and Song Hye-kyo (“Descendants of the Sun”).
More professionally, there was plenty of discussion about South Korean content and business matters at the recent Apos media conference (virtual this year of course), even more at September’s Seoul-based Bcww content market. There will be still more at Mipcom Plus, the online version of the annual South of France rights market.

With his boy-next-door looks, supermodel physique, and overall charisma, Kim Soo Hyun has been a trailblazer in the Korean entertainment industry.
Rising to stardom in popular dramas such as “The Moon Embracing the Sun” and “My Love from Another Star”, and the blockbuster film, “The Thieves“, the 29-year-old star has proven that he is a force to be reckoned with.
Seeing Kim Soo Hyun in a different light.
His massive fan base, both in Korea and overseas, are surely over the moon about his new project – the action-noir film, “Real”. However, those who were smitten by his charms and endearing smile might find this dark, mystery thriller film uncharacteristically different from Kim Soo Hyun’s previous projects. Taking on the role of Jang Tae Young, an infamous and power-hungry key player in the criminal world who has an adept ability to make problems go away, Kim Soo Hyun admitted in...
