"Canim Kardesim" is the saddest movie of Turkish film industry aka. "Yesilcam". The director Ertem Egilmez is generally makes film on comedy. Back in days critics told him you can't shoot drama. And his answer is "I'm gonna shoot a drama and you all gonna cry." Finally he made this movie and we all crying every time we watched Canim Kardesim.

Kahraman leads a poor but cheerful life with his brother Murat and his loyal friend Halit. Later in the night, after a fire at home, their father was poisoned by smoke and died. The hero remains to his brother Murat. Murat's friend Halit is fired and settles with Murat. Kahraman's only dream is to buy a television at home. Kahraman's remaining teacher calls his brother and tells him to take care of his brother's cleanliness. Then Hero becomes sluggish. Her brother and friend take her to the doctor and the doctor tells her that her brother has cancer. Murat and his friend are very surprised and upset when they get the news of Kahraman who has cancer. The doctor tells her brother to fulfill every request. Later, they meet with Kahraman's teacher and he gives permission until the disease is cleared. Murat and Halit try to fulfill every request of Kahraman.

Despite their bad situation, they eat in restaurants, take them to the amusement park and fulfill every wish. They can't just buy the TV that Kahraman wants so much. They do everything they can to get the TV, but they can't take it. One night, as they return home, they steal the television they see in a store window and bring it home. Murat and Halit procure television, which is Kahraman's greatest desire, by playing on the last day of their promised date. They exhibit a rebellion against helplessness, and this time they become practitioners of violence against the system. Because there is a system violence that has been committed since the beginning of the film. They sit at home after they play the television and laugh, this is a moment of happiness without recipe for them and the audience. The system was defeated and imposed. But the Kahraman dies before he can see his TV.

Maglup Edilemeyenler (1976) by Atif Yilmaz. What an story & what an actin act by Cüneyt Arkin. A beautiful Location of Turkey and unique opening and closing music specialty last 5 min of this Gem movie..One of my all time favorite movie.. Just amazing. What an movie :) here is the story Murat is a successful journalist. One day a girl named Aysel is kidnapped and raped by three men. Murat is misinformed about the case, so he distorts the whole story which deeply saddens Aysel's family. Murat decides to look into this case again and finds out that the three men are sons of well-off families and writes about them in his articles.

This film is a gem. It has to certainly be an all time classic for people of my generation who grew up in the 70's and 80's. To those who live in England, it is of special significance as it was shown on Channel 4 a few times in the mid and late eighties. It all starts when four friends Kader Khan,Amjad Khan,Pran and Jagdish)receive a winning lottery ticket and Jagdish wins. Out of sheer greed Kader Khan and Amjad Khan kill Jagdish and frame Pran. They throw Pran into a river and he is persumed dead. Kader Khan and Amjad Khan start a hotel with their winnings. Years later we find out that Pran is actually very much alive and returns to avenge his friend's murder, which results in a superb finale that takes place in a hotel. & super songs sung by Mohammad Rafi,Kishore Kumar with great music by Laxmikant Pyarelal.one of the evergreen movie in the history of Bollywood..
