USA tour was a spectacular show to remember, with singing, dancing and a lot of interaction between the audience and the actors. Director Shaji Kailash, who is making a sequel of director Sibi Malayil’s 1988 movie August 1, is going to start shooting of the movie by this week end.

The original movie had Malayalam film megastar Mammootty was seen playing the lead role of a Crime Branch Detective named ‘Perumal’ (Dsp). This officer fights against time to stop the looming murder attempt of the Kerala Chief Minister.

Mammootty will again don the role of the officer ‘Perumal’ in the sequel. The sequel, which has been titled August 15, will be shot entirely in the capital city Thiruvananthapuram. Mammootty will shot an entire movie here after a long time.

M Mani will be producing the movie under the banner of Aroma movies. The script of the sequel will be written by S N Swamy.
