Art the Clown from the Terrifier franchise gets reimagined in an homage to Batman: The Killing Joke. After appearing in several short films and All Hallows' Eve (2013), Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) made his feature film debut in 2016's Terrifier from director Damien Leone. Since then, Art has only grown in popularity, and he returned in that film's 2022 sequel as well as this year's Terrifier 3, which has been a major hit critically and commercially.
Artist Peter Gilmore now shares a new rendition of Terrifier's Art the Clown, imagining what he would look like in his own unique spin on the cover of Batman: The Killing Joke. The Killing Joke cover by artist Brian Bolland features the Joker smiling maniacally as he holds a camera over one eye in portrait mode. In Art the Clown's version, Gilmore has removed the camera and instead has the demonic clown ripping apart...

The Church of Satan would like to make it clear that members don’t worship the Devil, nor do they believe Satan is real. What they do believe in, and the rituals they practice, emerge in the documentary Realm of Satan, which just premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
Director Scott Cummings joins the new episode of Deadline’s Doc Talk podcast to discuss the film, which he made in collaboration with the Church of Satan. It is described as a “nonfiction adjacent” film, which exists somewhere between reality and the fantastical. But that’s kind of the mindset of many members of the church, who believe in “indulgence” and carnal pleasures, and participate in incantatory ceremonies.
In one scene, the leader of the church, High Priest Peter Gilmore, trots around on hooves. And in another moment, the glowing spirit of wheelchair-bound man rises and floats out of frame. But there are mundane moments too,...

Actor best known for his role as the rugged and handsome captain in The Onedin Line
James Onedin, the protagonist of the long-running BBC television series The Onedin Line, gained his splendid name from a sea nymph. After the programme's creator, Cyril Abraham, had read about mythological figure Ondine, he transposed the "e", thus making her a man. And what a man: Peter Gilmore, who played Onedin in 91 episodes from 1971 to 1980, had tousled hair, flinty eyes, hollow cheeks, mutton-chop sideburns racing across his cheek, lips pulled severely down, chin thrust indomitably forward to face down the brewing gale. He has died aged 81.
The sea captain did not so much talk as emit salty barks that brooked no demur. In 1972, while filming, Gilmore was buzzed by speedboats from the Royal Naval College. Still in character as Onedin, he yelled irascibly at the tyro sailors: "Taxpayers' money! Where are your guns? What...

Warlords Of Atlantis
Stars: Doug McClure, Peter Gilmore, Shane Rimmer, Lea Brodie, Michael Gothard, John Ratzenberger | Written by Brian Hayles | Directed by Kevin Connor
Having gone through most of the recent Amicus releases I was quite surprised with Warlords of Atlantis and the fact that it’s quite the standout film of the Doug McClure selection, then of course realised it’s not an Amicus film at all as they no longer existed when this was made; this was a continuation of the films outside of that company and was directed by Kevin Conner who directed most of Amicus’ fantasy films. Taking the mythological city of Atlantis as the base of the story and adding a stronger subplot to it, it stands out as a strong film than some of the more well-known titles.
Doug McClure this time plays Greg Collinson the inventor of a diving bell that he and...

Since Una Stubbs's film debut half a century ago, she's never been out of work. With a string of memorable TV series to her name, from Till Death Do Us Part to Sherlock, how does she feel now about her return to the National theatre stage at 75?
Una Stubbs can't quite believe she's being interviewed. "So who else are you speaking to from this production?" she asks when we meet backstage at the National Theatre. No one, I tell her. Just you. Behind her round-framed spectacles, Stubbs's eyes widen anxiously. "Oh," she says, brow crinkling. "Really?"
You might expect Una Stubbs to be more convinced by her own reputation. At 75, she has starred in some of the most memorable television programmes of the past four decades (Till Death Us Do Part, Give Us a Clue, Worzel Gummidge, Sherlock) and been directed on stage by such theatrical luminaries as Sir Peter Hall and Michael Grandage.

Adam Liaw has revealed that MasterChef Australia was hard work. The 31-year-old media lawyer from Adelaide, who won the 2010 title on Sunday after impressing judges with his version of a Peter Gilmore recipe, said that his cooking skills improved as the competition progressed. Liaw told Aap: "I wasn't really doing anything that [the judges] were liking at the start, so it was a tough ride. Then I won immunity and that sort of changed how I was feeling about how I was cooking. "[I (more)...
