The history of Hollywood adapting video games in movies and TV shows has been a little spotty, to say the least, but in recent years, I think the tide has been turning. With shows like The Last of Us and Fallout, video game fans have developed a little hope to see their favorite adapted into a great piece of art and while there will still be wasted efforts like Netflix’s The Witcher and Paramount+’s Halo, they are still only two shows. Titanic II is a fun flick. After the opening credits some guy in a wetsuit tries to outsurf Global Warming. This is a story of the love between a man and a woman. The man has a Saved By The Bell blond haircut, and has created a replica of the doomed SS Titanic, which sails at dawn.

The woman is a nurse with a high-ranking military father. Her dad socked the man in the nose, so the man didn't call the woman for six months. Still carrying a torch, the man invites the woman to the maiden voyage of Titanic II, along with the who's who of the upper...

You gotta love the boys and girls at The Asylum, for they have absolutely no shame whatsoever. Behold the trailer for their upcoming disasterpiece “Titanic II”, a touching tale about a ship, an iceberg, and a whole lot of wonky special effects. The story is pretty simple: A large cruise liner dubbed “Titanic II” sets sail on its maiden voyage, only to encounter a life-threatening chunk of ice blown into its path by an evil tsunami. Lightning, it would appear, does strike twice. Oh, boy! Bruce Davidson, Brooke Burns, Shane Van Dyke, and Marie Westbrook star in what could be the best direct-to-video title released thus far this year. Because I have no life and zero taste in cinema, you can rest assured I’ll track down a copy as soon as humanly possible. The title of the movie, to be clear is Titanic II, not ‘Titanic II – No this is Not a Joke’ as the title may suggest! I can’t believe it either as the movie that could never, ever spawn a sequel, has indeed, spawned a sequel! Will it hit an ice berg? Yes?!?!With the tragic line of

“Looks like history is repeating itself!”

Who writes this stuff?!

To my knowledge, Jack does not ‘Come back’ and neither does Kate Winslet. I’ll let the trailer do the talking while I (along with no doubt many of you) do the moaning!

The Asylum, a studio known for creating mock-ups of popular films, has just wrapped production on their latest direct-to-dvd movie, Titanic 2, which will be available on DVD shelves everywhere on August 25.

I dont even know what to say about this one. Titanic 2 is coming and no James Cameron is not involved. I am pretty sure most of you will not want to see Titanic 2 once you finish reading this. The film is being done by Asylum who do mockbusters. They have done direct to dvd knock offs of every major film released including Transformers, Terminator, and many many more.

In the sequel a luxury liner sets sale on the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the first Titanic and runs into a Tsunami. I think we all know where this is going.

If you're familiar at all with the direct-to-video efforts of The Asylum, then you know that their revenue model is built on cashing in from the media hype of the current movie blockbuster. When Transformers was about to come out in movie theaters, The Asylum was there to release Transmorphers. When the last High School Musical was almost here, The Asylum gave us Sunday School Musical. I like to think that Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus was a wholly original creation by The Asylum brain trust.

Now The Asylum people have announced what could be their biggest "Oh no they didn't" release, an action-adventure that cashes in on the title for what is now the second-biggest movie of all time. Ladies and gentlemen, on August 24, 2010 you will be able to rent or own Titanic 2.

Evil Angel is one of a few films that this reviewer is looking forward to watching in 2010 (wink, wink - producer send me a screener). The film plays at the Nevermore Film Festival in a few days, and more importantly a trailer, that is action packed is available now. Very graphic, bloody, and sexy, the first trailer for Evil Angel shows what a horror movie is supposed to be, brutal and well-written. The story focuses on the mythical character Lilith, who was Adam's first bride. Rejected by Adam, Lilith goes on a rampage and takes out her frustrations on Adam's children, or the many characters in the film. Although the trailer is off-site, at the sales agency, it is worth checking out (very not safe for work)!

Evil Angel will be at the Nevermore Film Festival beginning Saturday, February 20th at 7:00pm. This film festival has been going strong for 10 years now and 2010 will be even more dynamic and better for this movie market that begins February 19. Evil Angel will be in the North Carolina region throughout the festival and Evil Angel stars Ving Rhames (Dawn of the Dead) "as a tough detective in pursuit of an ancient evil (Nevermore)." Truly gothic, horrific and animated, the early promotional material for Evil Angel looks exceptional and further details on the film can be found inside.

On October 24th, The Terror Film Festival Claw Awards took place at the Ethical Society Building on the famous Rittenhouse Square of Philadelphia.
