Indie filmmaker Creep Creepersin is at it again. The prolific low budget film director is back, this time with a remake of the Bela Lugosi classic White Zombie. How'd it turn out? Watch the trailer for yourselves and let us know what you think.
The flick stars Elina Madison, Tony Slade, Mindy Robinson, Dean Mounir, Myles Crawford, Anne Montavon, Lea Vonn, Joseph Daniels, Tim Chizmar, Jake Osti, Edward Joyce, Adam Jaffe, and Creepersin himself as Murder Legendre.
The synopsis of the original 1932 film reads as follows...
Bela Lugosi followed up his star-making role in Dracula with this ambitious low-budget horror film from the Halperin brothers, who effectively transplanted the misty Gothic mood of the Universal horror films to their poverty-row studio. White Zombie drips with atmosphere from the opening, as eerie chanting accompanies the credits and Madeleine (Madge Bellamy) arrives at midnight to witness a mysterious burial before coming face...

The Other Side: We’re sent dozens of short films to check out each month, but The Other Side really stands out from the pack. Whatever happened to director Joseph Monahan’s independent cannibal-slasher flick Wonder Valley? We caught up recently with the first-time filmmaker to get the skinny on the now completed flick. Read on!
Filmed in May 2011 in the deserts of Joshua Tree, California (see our coverage of that here), Wonder Valley was written by Monahan (who also executive produces), Kenny White and producer Creep Creepersin, and the narrative follows a quartet of vacationers who unfortunately find their numbers start to dwindle during their ill-conceived trip in purportedly unexpected and rather bloody ways. Along with actors Charlie Vaughn and Suziey Block, rounding out the cast are Natalie Pero (Raze), David Michaelson and Kim Ward, with makeup effects provided by Jacky Belle (The Devil’s Carnival).
“The original narrative basically changed back to more of its original form,” director Monahan told us of the Wonder Valley re-shoots, which he recently completed. “Before we shot on location last May,...

The 2nd annual PollyGrind assaults Las Vegas during an epic length film festival that runs Oct. 8-17 at Theatre 7 with enough sleaze and violence to make Sin City residents feel right at home.
Actually, the fest does open up on the 7th with a concert at Neon Venus with local acts like Monster Zero, Creepersin and many more.
However, the film portion of the fest opens on the 8th with Stuart Simpson‘s acclaimed Australian gorefest El Monstro Del Mar!, one of the best Russ Meyer/Roger Corman mash-ups with a Down Under twist. Read the Bad Lit: The Journal of Underground Film review of this gem here.
Other Bad Lit favorites in the lineup are Drew Bolduc and Dan Nelson‘s The Taint, which is still completely grossing out audiences on the festival circuit, and The Uh-Oh Show, the splatter-filled horror comedy by the Godfather of Gore himself Herschell Gordon Lewis.

And not only is PollyGrind celebrating films, the fest is also celebrating several indie music acts slated to perform during the fest, a Zombiepalooza celebration and a whole lot more! Read on for all the details for the Second Annual PollyGrind Film Festival!
From the Press Release:
It's been called "the key festival for indie cult filmmakers to land distribution deals." Its founder and programmer has been called the "new champion of unabashed B-movie sleaze." Those praises might seem a bit outlandish, but with the official announcement of the PollyGrind Film Festival's schedule, it's easy to see where they come from.

Recently Dread caught up exclusively with filmmaker Charlie Vaughn (director of Bloody Mary 3D) and in this capacity actor in regard to his current turn as ‘Jeffery’ in the now shooting cannibal-slasher flick Wonder Valley. Read on for a first look at ocular candy featuring star Suziey Block and a teaser poster from the indie production.
Helmed by first-time feature director Joseph Monahan, whose background lies in specialty photography (he was responsible for the rig that rendered that hammer Pov in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor), Wonder Valley was shooting Day Five last evening in the deserts of Joshua Tree, California. Written by Monahan (who also executive produces), Kenny White and producer Creep Creepersin, the narrative follows a quartet of vacationers who unfortunately find their numbers start to dwindle during their ill-conceived trip in purportedly unexpected and unsurprisingly rather bloody ways. Along with Vaughn and Block, rounding out the cast are...

The birthing of a film can be a painful process, particularly in the world of independent filmmaking, and while truncated shooting schedules, limited budgets and location challenges conspire at times to create seemingly insurmountable hurdles, nothing proves more daunting for cast and crew alike than being subject to a producer with more mood swings than a 1940’s jazz band.
Such was the case on the set of director Charlie Vaughn’s Blood Mary 3D.
Originally slated to shoot in December of 2010, executive producer Chalmers (who previously produced the Bruce Campbell flicks Man with the Screaming Brain and Alien Apocalypse) made the choice to film Bloody Mary in 3D, with production therefore being delayed until spring while logistics were being hammered out.
Shooting over the course of a short six days earlier this month in and around an industrial complex in South Central L.A., this writer paid the production a...

From the mind of low budget horror film maker Creep Creepersin, comes his tale of madness and social awkardness in Creep Creepersin's Frankenstein. Frankenstein, which is set to be unleashed upon audiences on March 22, 2011, marks the release of the director's debut feature onto DVD. His most personal film to date, Frankenstein recalls the essence of such horror classics as Willard, Ben or even Psycho, just in the low budget horror film making medium.
This macabre, artsy, horror tale is a film about Victor who is so socially inept, that he shuts himself off from the outside world and only spends time with his pet rat, Frankenstein. Trouble starts, however, when the outside world tries to come in. His television starts sending him “transmissions”. And on top of it all, he is having unexpected visits from his “dead” mother!
“This is a really fun film.”, says Creepersin, “People seem to get different things out of it.

This writer recently hit the set of filmmaker Creep Creepersin’s latest flick, Lovesick Captivity, in Burbank, California, and while there chatted with the director concerning the feature as well as the slew of upcoming projects he’s currently prepping.
Our visit came on the third and final day of principal photography for Lovesick Captivity (Creepersin works historically fast); yet, we found the filmmaker rather relaxed, regardless of the time constraint. The psychological thriller, which chronicles the rising domestic strife between a man and his blushing bride (the latter is stalked by a serial killer and subsequently has been forced into self-imposed house arrest), stars longtime Creepersin collaborator Charlie Vaughn, Dylan Vox (Brides of Sodom), Jeff Dylan Graham (Don’t Look in the Basement), Robbyn Leigh (Devil’s Den), Katie Costick (City Rats) and supermodel Heather Hewitt. Andrew Ceperley serves as director of photography, and Nikki Wall and Creepersin produce along with Tom Ingram.

Directed by: Creep Creepersin
Starring: James Porter, Nicole Nemeth, Kelly Kingsbury, Creep Creepersin
In Creep Creepersin's Frankestein, a moody 5 minute opening credit sequence floods us with classic films and remembrances of the old, spooky movies that we all love. Violins and pianos accent the bold title of "Overture" over the opening credits and we are immediately set up to watch a film that pays respect to an entire genre of fandom. Unfortunately Frankenstein is heavily rooted in the Schlock style of filmmaking, which means that in many ways the respect initially paid to the horror genre is almost immediately lost in what is inevitably a poorly structured and organized film.
Frankenstein centers on the somewhat mentally retarded individual Victor. Victor has a pet rat named Frankenstein and eats scrambled eggs with a spoon while reading smut magazines. After watching some classic horror films, and gaining inspiration, Victor gets the...

This past Saturday, May 15th, Dread hit the road from La to Vegas, and sometime between playing fetch with a border collie over Bloody Marys in a dilapidated desert bar in Yermo and winding up with a gastro-intestinal malady (Sin City is apparently full of germs), this writer swung by The Polly Staffle Grindhouse Fest at the Sci-Fi Center for the world premieres of director Creep Creepersin’s features Orgy of Blood, Vaginal Holocaust, and Caged Lesbos A-Go-Go.
On hand for the event were filmmaker Creepersin and producing partner Nikki Wall, and just before the two engaged in an audience Q&A for Orgy of Blood, we managed to sneak a few minutes outside the Sci-Fi Center in order to get the skinny on release plans for the previously mentioned trio as well as the duo’s latest ventures: the feature films Lake Death and Wall’s forthcoming directorial debut,...

In an event described as "a B-movie jamboree of awesomeness", the Polly Staffle Grindhouse Fest - informally known as the Pollygrind - launches this Wednesday until May 16 at the Sci-Fi Center (2520 State Street) in Las Vegas.
Thirteen films and more than 31 trailers, music videos and shorts will play the PollyGrind, described by Vampires.com as "one of the biggest events for grindhouse and trash film lovers this year."
Organiser Chad Clinton Freeman said: "The festival is being put on in the same spirit as old-school grindhouse cinema - no funding and creatively using whatever is available.
"With that said, I think the line-up turned out rather nicely and I think everyone that comes out will enjoy what William Powell's Sci-Fi Center and the PollyGrind have to offer."
Five features will have their world premieres at the event. John R. Hand's sci-fi arthouse film Scars of Youth (pictured above...

Dread Central recently caught up with director, musician, screenwriter, and actor Creep Creepersin - the man behind such B-feature romps as Orgy of Blood and Vaginal Holocaust - to find out what he’s been up to, and it seems that the historically prolific amount of macabre material leaking from his sleeve hasn’t ebbed one bit given his current productions.
“I’m doing Brides of Sodom with Domiziano Arcangeli’s new company, Empire Films, and Sterling Entertainment,” Creepersin, who’s currently shooting the flick over the course of eight days in Southern California, told us. “This is one of the biggest projects that Sterling or myself have had anything to do with. It’s a post-apocalyptic vampire film. We are shooting on two Reds and trying to come up with some weird trick photography shit. It’s gonna be a lot like Orgy of Blood but a little bit more like an Argento-dream sequence.
