When a series runs for 12 seasons, you'd expect there to be some sort of lingering personal drama keeping the cast and crew from fully embracing the idea of a return. Taylor Sheridan and Sylvester Stallone's Tulsa King has unveiled new cast members. Bella Heathcote and James Russo will feature in the upcoming third season of the Paramount+ series.

Per Variety, Heathcote has joined Tulsa King as a series regular, while Russo has been cast in a recurring role. Heathcote will play Cleo Montague, described as "a Tulsa native born and raised, and the daughter of a distillery owner." Russo will play "Quiet" Ray Renzetti, known as "one of the mob bosses in New York." Russo's character is "calm and measured." Heathcote has appeared in other projects such as Amazon's The Man in the High Castle, CBS' Strange Angel, and films including Relic, Fifty Shades Darker, Pride And Prejudice And Zombies, Neon Demon, and The Moongai. Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans are buzzing this week thanks to the news that the classic TV series is getting a reboot over at Hulu, with star Sarah Michelle Gellar set to reprise her role of Buffy Summers. From the looks of it, though, the series might not feature one of its most pivotal characters: Angel. Portrayed by David Boreanaz, Angel is the tortured vampire with a soul who serves as Buffy's love interest until his departure from the series at the end of Season 3. However, he did appear sporadically whilst starring in his own spinoff show.

Gellar took to Instagram earlier this week to post a lengthy statement about her involvement in the reboot, saying, "I have always listened to the fans and heard your desire to revisit Buffy and her world, but it was not something I could do unless I was sure we would get it right.

Exclusive: Artists First has signed actor Neil Brown Jr. for management.

Brown most recently was seen starring in the seventh and final season of the CBS series Seal Team. The actor has starred on 114 episodes.

He also had a large recurring role in the HBO series Insecure opposite co-creator and star Issa Rae.

Previously, Brown appeared alongside Elijah Wood in BBC’s Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.

On the feature side, the Orlando native can next be seen starring opposite Nicky Whelan in the independent feature Last Night in Rozzie. He played a lead role in the indie City of Lies, opposite Johnny Depp, as well as a supporting role in in Netflix’s Naked opposite Marlon Wayans and Regina Hall.

Previously, Brown played DJ Yella in Universal’s Straight Outta Compton, about the emergence of rap group N.W.A in the mid 1980s; the movie grossed more than $201 million worldwide.

Because of the recent historic LA fires where thousands of people like Cameron Mathison lost their homes in the Pacific Palisades and Altadena, the national news stories revealed that convicts were helping the fire fighters battle the blazes.

Seal Team Season 7 Episode 10 offered us a surprisingly feel-good ending, which was a far cry from what many of us imagined as the season progressed.

All large arcs were wrapped up, and if there were any smaller arcs that needed attention, there was a good reason for that.

My interview with showrunner Spencer Hudnut was published in conjunction with this review. In it, he revealed that for nine episodes, they were under the impression that the series would continue.

That answers a lot about the final season and even lends credence to many of our theories.

He said they had 30 pages of script to wind down the overarching season arcs and the entire series.

That’s an extraordinarily heavy lift, but the Seal Team series finale did an amazing job considering that shocking and sad reality.

After seven strong seasons of storytelling, we’re saying goodbye to Seal Team.

Seal Team has reminded us of the casualties of war, not just in battle, but by watching characters struggle to find a balance between the ugly side of their profession and a home life they desperately crave.

Seal Team Season 7 drove that point home with a final season that found Jason Hayes, Ray Perry, Sonny Quinn, and Lisa Perry considering what’s next.

We had the opportunity to jump on Zoom with showrunner Spencer Hudnut for more insight into Seal Team Season 7 and the surprisingly feel-good finale.

The end of Seal Team is finally here, and the series finale is as emotional as anyone predicted. Paramount+'s military drama, created by Benjamin Cavell, premiered in September 2017 and ran for seven seasons before concluding in October 2024. The journey was rough, but in the end, every Seal Team character got a happy ending.

We’ve reached the end. Paramount+’s Seal Team season seven episode nine ended with Nazario in custody and Jason and Drew off on a separate mission to kill Curtis. Episode 10, “The Last Word,” will bring the team back together and finish up storylines for characters fans have come to love.

The seventh and final season stars David Boreanaz as Jason Hayes, Neil Brown Jr. as Ray Perry, A.J. Buckley as Sonny Quinn, Toni Trucks as Lieutenant Lisa Davis, Raffi Barsoumian as Omar Hamza, and Beau Knapp as Drew Franklin.

“The Last Word” Plot: Does war always have the last word? Jason wrestles with guilt, Ray faces his demons, and Davis and Sonny’s fate is decided by the Decker investigation.

And here we are. Seal Team Season 7 Episode 9 is the penultimate hour, setting up everything for the series’s swan song. Did it do the work?

I think so.

It’s not easy to say goodbye to a team as close as Bravo. Looking back at the series as a whole, the Bravo team has been and remains the main attraction. They feel like family.

But this family is coming to an end, at least in its current incarnation. What comes next will exclude us, so everything is riding on the Seal Team finale.

Please note that I have seen the finale, so this review will be a little different. I’m not going to speculate, as I don’t want to give anything away. That’s the last thing I would want for those of us who have spent so much time with Bravo.

Exclusive, updated: Twenty-nine-year veteran Tina Koyanagi-Rosener and six of her fellow colleagues in content strategy for Paramount+ were among the hundreds who were laid off Tuesday as part of Paramount Global’s plan to slash 15% of its U.S. workforce.

Koyanagi-Rosener and her team served as liaisons between Paramount+, the studios and production. Among the series that her team oversaw were the Taylor Sheridan shows, Star Trek universe, Seal Team and Criminal Minds: Evolution.

Koyanagi-Rosener first joined CBS after following Anita Addison over from Warner Bros. TV to run drama development for Leslie Moonves. Since then, Koyanagi-Rosener worked in daytime and CBS Interactive before moving to Paramount+, where she was joined the content strategy team for scripted originals.

AMC made a bet earlier this year that licensing a number of its shows to Netflix would help them find more viewers. That bet appears to have paid off.

Two AMC shows, Dark Winds and A Discovery of Witches, are among the top 10 streaming titles for the week of Aug. 19-25. They were added to Netflix at the beginning of that week as part of a deal struck in July to place about a dozen AMC shows on the service, complete with branding as the “AMC Collection.” (The shows will be available for 12 months.)

It’s not new territory for AMC, which partially credited Netflix for a huge spike in ratings for Breaking Bad’s final season and has also licensed The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul, among others, to the streamer in the past.

Dark Winds drew 929 million minutes of viewing for the week, good for fourth place overall.

If you're a fan of the long-running crime procedural "Bones" — which kicked off in 2005 and concluded in 2017, spanning 12 seasons and 246 episodes — then you're definitely familiar with its core cast, who play a mix of scientists and cops trying to solve cases using forensics and, well, a whole lot of bones.

Based on the book series by real-life forensics expert Kathy Reichs and led by Emily Deschanel as the titular "Bones" — or, more accurately, forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan, who bears the on-the-nose nickname "Bones" — the show centers around the fictional Jeffersonian Institute Medico-Legal Lab, which collaborates with the FBI to solve cases based on sparse human remains in Washington D.C. Netflix released the first half of Emily in Paris‘ fourth season Aug. 15, and as a result got just over half of the tune-in for the show’s last full-season premiere.

The dramedy starring Lily Collins gathered 792 million minutes of viewing in the United States for its premiere week, according to Nielsen’s streaming ratings. That was good for third place among original series and ninth overall, but was also down 43 percent from the 1.39 billion minutes for the first week of season three’s release — which featured all 10 episodes of that installment, as opposed to five this time out.

The previous week’s top two shows, Prison Break and The Umbrella Academy, held their spots for the week of Aug. 12-18 — and their numbers were consistent as well.
