When a series runs for 12 seasons, you'd expect there to be some sort of lingering personal drama keeping the cast and crew from fully embracing the idea of a return. Working alongside the same people for that long just seems as though it would, at some point, have resulted in some conflict that might well have precluded any future reunion. But with "Bones," everybody seems onboard for a revival.
In fact, a "Bones" revival seems more likely than ever right now, with former producers, writers, and actors expressing their desire to return to the show, which ran from 2005 to 2017 on the Fox network. Most importantly, series stars Emily Deschanel, who played forensic scientist Temperance "Bones" Brennan, and David Boreanaz, who played FBI Agent Seeley Booth, have said they'd be open to reprising their roles. Boreanaz, whose CBS/Paramount+ series "Seal Team" wrapped up in October 2024, has confirmed in interviews that...

With a full 12 seasons, "Bones" had plenty of time to amass a large and passionate fanbase, and ever since the show went off the air in 2017, that fan base has been clamoring for more. The Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz-led procedural built a following with it's off-kilter tone, mixing a lighthearted sensibility with some of the most horrific crime scenes you're ever likely to see on a network show (one fresh body on "Bones" even went too far for producer Stephen Nathan). For some fans, the loss of this offbeat crime series was too much to take, and talk of a reboot or revival has been ongoing ever since 2017.
In that time, we've had some positive and encouraging developments, suggesting that fans might just get what they want. When, how, and with which former actors involved remains unclear, but a "Bones" season 13 certainly seems likely based solely on the...

Watch the Trailer for M3GAN 2.0: "The murderous doll who captivated pop culture in 2023 is back. And this time she’s not alone.
The original creative team behind that phenomenon—led by horror titans James Wan for Atomic Monster, Jason Blum for Blumhouse and director Gerard Johnstone—reboot an all-new wild chapter in A.I. mayhem with M3GAN 2.0.
Two years after M3GAN, a marvel of artificial intelligence, went rogue and embarked on a murderous (and impeccably choreographed) rampage and was subsequently destroyed, M3GAN’s creator Gemma (Allison Williams) has become a high-profile author and advocate for government oversight of A.I. Meanwhile, Gemma’s niece Cady (Violet McGraw), now 14, has become a teenager, rebelling against Gemma’s overprotective rules.
Unbeknownst to them, the underlying tech for M3GAN has been stolen and misused by a powerful defense contractor to create a military-grade weapon known as Amelia, the ultimate killer infiltration spy.

After 8 seasons on CBS, the action crime drama S.W.A.T. was canceled once again by the network. Fans of the series might have grown used to such bad tidings. After all, it’s the third time that the series has been announced to be in its “final” season, but that doesn’t make the news any less disappointing. There are a couple of episodes left for fans to say their (maybe?) goodbyes, and in the series’ absence, Paramount+'s military dramaSEAL Team could help to ease those parting pangs.
Starring David Boreanaz, Seal Team follows an elite group of US Navy SEALs as they travel the world and take on a series of dangerous missions. Following their professional strategies and personal sacrifices, the series is a combination of action procedural and military drama that fans of S.W.A.T. should enjoy. Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans are buzzing this week thanks to the news that the classic TV series is getting a reboot over at Hulu, with star Sarah Michelle Gellar set to reprise her role of Buffy Summers. From the looks of it, though, the series might not feature one of its most pivotal characters: Angel. Portrayed by David Boreanaz, Angel is the tortured vampire with a soul who serves as Buffy's love interest until his departure from the series at the end of Season 3. However, he did appear sporadically whilst starring in his own spinoff show.
Gellar took to Instagram earlier this week to post a lengthy statement about her involvement in the reboot, saying, "I have always listened to the fans and heard your desire to revisit Buffy and her world, but it was not something I could do unless I was sure we would get it right.

Action shows have been one of the most popular sources of entertainment for decades. Action TV series have been produced on a regular basis — some focusing on long-term, serialized stories of heroes while others have taken a shorter approach more suitable for a binging session. All things considered, however, the genre is almost as popular on TV as it is in the movies.
The action genre has produced incredibly memorable shows that can hold their own with blockbuster counterparts like Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible franchise. The genre has also proven to be incredibly versatile and has experimented with a range of formats, including real-time seasons, anthologies, and merging with other genres. All of these have combined to create brilliant shows that have thriving fandoms years if not decades later.

It’s the first time ever that fans get to see the iconic character from James Patterson’s popular book series come to life on television. However, in this TV adaptation, he takes on a whole new set adventures that have never been told between the pages.
Writer and producer Ben Watkins crafted this new vision of “Cross,” which takes place in the nation’s capital of Washington, D.C., where criminals lurk during the day and the night. But no crime is too big of challenge for Cross.
Some supporting cast members include Stacie Greenwell, Sharon Taylor, Mercedes de la Zerda. Dwain Murphy, Karen Robinson, Jason Rogel, Siobhan Murphy and more. But check out the main case below.

“A Foundational Building Block”: The Procedural Is Back & Streamers Are Aboard – MIPCOM Scenesetters
News broadcasts have been dominated by conflict, pandemics and economic strife in recent years, and sometimes a bit of escapism is just what’s needed in troubled times.
Sellers are alert to this notion and know that nothing builds a greater sense of escapism than the procedural genre, one that is having a moment as buyers seek cheaper, repeatable fare in an era of squeezed budgets and risk aversion. That well-trodden formatted path of a pair of grizzly detectives solving the unsolvable each week feels very much in vogue again.
Huge international franchises such as NCIS, Death in Paradise and Seal have been expanding, while others have gotten a second wind on streaming platforms.
When Deadline invited submissions for its 2024 Hot Ones, we were not surprised that several distributors were making procedurals a cornerstone of their MIPCOM slates, including Paramount Global Content Distribution’s NCIS: Origins, Fifth Season’s Saint Pierre...

If you work closely alongside another actor for twelve seasons, you'll probably miss them from time to time — especially when you go on to work on other projects without that person. In a recent Variety interview about his career to this point — including his recently concluded CBS and Paramount+ series "Seal Team" — David Boreanaz was asked what he misses most about his "Bones" co-star Emily Deschanel, who played forensic anthropologist Temperance "Bones" Brennan ... and whose character ultimately marries and has a family with Boreanaz's FBI agent Seeley Booth.
"I miss her sunshine, her smile, her will to stretch the boundaries of a scene," Boreanaz opined, before saying that the two had one conflict that ended up serving their on-set connection. "I remember showing up one day on set early on, and I was upset about something. We kind of went at each other in a way that was healthy, but at the same time,...

Even though it ended in 2017 after twelve seasons, "Bones" is still a seriously popular procedural series, drawing new audiences on streaming services and remaining completely rewatchable after all these years. So what's the secret to the show's success? Star David Boreanaz thinks he knows the answer — and it has everything to do with his acting teacher, Ivana Chubbuck.
In an interview with Variety, where Boreanaz also discussed the series finale of "Seal Team," the series he led for CBS and Paramount+ until it officially ended on October 6, Boreanaz explained that he and his "Bones" co-star, Emily Deschanel, worked extensively with Chubbuck to perfect their characters (Boreanaz's FBI agent Seeley Booth and Deschanel's forensic anthropologist Temperance "Bones" Brennan).
"Being able to go to your co-star and be like, 'Hey, I'm going to be working on the weekends with my acting teacher, who I think is the best and can offer some...

Warning: Spoilers ahead for the Seal Team series finale!Seal Team showrunner Spencer Hudnut has explained how the series would have continued without lead actor David Boreanz after season 7 if the show had continued. The Seal Team series finale saw Jason (Boreanz) stay with Bravo Team, finally able to forgive himself for the number of people he's had to kill throughout his many years of missions. While the show ends with his overseas missions set to continue into a future the audience won't see, Boreanz was actually planning to leave the show in season 7 had it not been the final stretch of episodes.
Speaking with Collider, Hudnut revealed he never knew Boreanz was planning to leave Seal Team after season 7, also revealing he had five weeks to plan out the series finale when it was revealed the show had been cancelled. However, the showrunner revealed that if Boreanz had left,...

Spoiler Alert: The following article contains spoilers from Sunda’s series finale of CBS’ Seal Team.
With a final episode aired Sunday, Oct. 6, the CBS Studios military drama Seal Team has come to a close. Spanning seven seasons about an elite unit of U.S. Navy SEALs across CBS and Paramount+, it was one of the few series to bridge the gap between networks and streamers.
After a successful mission end in the penultimate episode of Seal Team Season 7, which resulted in the capture of a major fentanyl drug trader and elimination of a Green Beret traitor, Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) and Team Bravo head home to Virginia Beach. But the reprieve with family, as they process the intense events of the season, is short-lived, with the unit deployed to Afghanistan for one final mission.
Throughout the tenth episode, Jason struggles to reconcile with the copious amounts of blood on his hands,...

The Seal Team Series Finale is upon us.
Seal Team Season 7 Episode 10 offered us a surprisingly feel-good ending, which was a far cry from what many of us imagined as the season progressed.
All large arcs were wrapped up, and if there were any smaller arcs that needed attention, there was a good reason for that.
(Trae Patton/Paramount+) The Feel-Good Seal Team Series Finale
My interview with showrunner Spencer Hudnut was published in conjunction with this review. In it, he revealed that for nine episodes, they were under the impression that the series would continue.
That answers a lot about the final season and even lends credence to many of our theories.
He said they had 30 pages of script to wind down the overarching season arcs and the entire series.
That’s an extraordinarily heavy lift, but the Seal Team series finale did an amazing job considering that shocking and sad reality.

After seven strong seasons of storytelling, we’re saying goodbye to Seal Team.
Seal Team has reminded us of the casualties of war, not just in battle, but by watching characters struggle to find a balance between the ugly side of their profession and a home life they desperately crave.
Seal Team Season 7 drove that point home with a final season that found Jason Hayes, Ray Perry, Sonny Quinn, and Lisa Perry considering what’s next.

Spoiler alert: The following article contains spoilers from the Seal Team series finale, "The Last Word."
The end of Seal Team is finally here, and the series finale is as emotional as anyone predicted. Paramount+'s military drama, created by Benjamin Cavell, premiered in September 2017 and ran for seven seasons before concluding in October 2024. The journey was rough, but in the end, every Seal Team character got a happy ending.
All season long, Jason Hayes has been struggling with what war has done to him. He essentially believes that he is only a killing machine for the U.S. government, and Jason resides to accept that fate. He thinks that war has the last word. Thankfully, Jason comes to his senses by the hour's end because of Mandy Ellis' and Ray Perry's advice. However, while many expected Jason to die in the Seal Team series finale or, at the very least,...

"Bones" — the procedural drama centered around forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and her FBI counterpart Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) ran from 2005 to 2017, spanning nearly 250 episodes and 12 full seasons. But will it ever come back for a revival?
It seems like everything is getting a reboot or revival now. Earlier this year, they reinvented "Mean Girls" as a musical starring Reneé Rapp, and shortly after that came out, Jake Gyllenhaal headlined a remake movie of the '80s classic "Road House" for a new generation. In Ryan Gosling's (delightful) action comedy "The Fall Guy," Lee Majors and Heather Thomas, who played the lead roles in the original series, show up in cameo appearances at the very end of the film. Throughout the past few years, everything from "Cobra Kai" to "Fuller House" to the long-awaited fourth season of "Veronica Mars" has reunited original cast members for another go-around. So why not "Bones?...

And here we are. Seal Team Season 7 Episode 9 is the penultimate hour, setting up everything for the series’s swan song. Did it do the work?
I think so.
It’s not easy to say goodbye to a team as close as Bravo. Looking back at the series as a whole, the Bravo team has been and remains the main attraction. They feel like family.

But this family is coming to an end, at least in its current incarnation. What comes next will exclude us, so everything is riding on the Seal Team finale.
Please note that I have seen the finale, so this review will be a little different. I’m not going to speculate, as I don’t want to give anything away. That’s the last thing I would want for those of us who have spent so much time with Bravo.

AMC made a bet earlier this year that licensing a number of its shows to Netflix would help them find more viewers. That bet appears to have paid off.
Two AMC shows, Dark Winds and A Discovery of Witches, are among the top 10 streaming titles for the week of Aug. 19-25. They were added to Netflix at the beginning of that week as part of a deal struck in July to place about a dozen AMC shows on the service, complete with branding as the “AMC Collection.” (The shows will be available for 12 months.)
It’s not new territory for AMC, which partially credited Netflix for a huge spike in ratings for Breaking Bad’s final season and has also licensed The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul, among others, to the streamer in the past.
Dark Winds drew 929 million minutes of viewing for the week, good for fourth place overall.

Spoiler alert: The following article contains spoilers from Seal Team season 7, episode 7, "Mission Creep."
Seal Team season 7's "Mission Creep" is an episode defined by self-destruction, with Jason, Ray, and Drew all trying their best to actively self-sabotage themselves and all the progress they have made since the beginning of their stories on the show. The Paramount+ military drama, created by Benjamin Cavell, is in the midst of airing its seventh and final season, with only a couple of episodes left until the series finale. Since Seal Team is coming to a close, the show is seemingly making the characters hit rock bottom before (hopefully) giving them happy and satisfying endings.
New episodes of Seal Team season 7 premiere on Sundays at 12:00 Am Pt on Paramount+.

If you're a fan of the long-running crime procedural "Bones" — which kicked off in 2005 and concluded in 2017, spanning 12 seasons and 246 episodes — then you're definitely familiar with its core cast, who play a mix of scientists and cops trying to solve cases using forensics and, well, a whole lot of bones.
Based on the book series by real-life forensics expert Kathy Reichs and led by Emily Deschanel as the titular "Bones" — or, more accurately, forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan, who bears the on-the-nose nickname "Bones" — the show centers around the fictional Jeffersonian Institute Medico-Legal Lab, which collaborates with the FBI to solve cases based on sparse human remains in Washington D.C. So what happened to the core cast of "Bones" since the show ended in the late 2010s, and what projects have they undertaken since playing police officers and scientific experts?

Netflix released the first half of Emily in Paris‘ fourth season Aug. 15, and as a result got just over half of the tune-in for the show’s last full-season premiere.
The dramedy starring Lily Collins gathered 792 million minutes of viewing in the United States for its premiere week, according to Nielsen’s streaming ratings. That was good for third place among original series and ninth overall, but was also down 43 percent from the 1.39 billion minutes for the first week of season three’s release — which featured all 10 episodes of that installment, as opposed to five this time out.
The previous week’s top two shows, Prison Break and The Umbrella Academy, held their spots for the week of Aug. 12-18 — and their numbers were consistent as well. Prison Break actually ticked up a little to 1.61 billion minutes of viewing (versus 1.6 billion the week before), while The Umbrella Academy (1.39 billion) was...
