Alexander, Who Used to Be Rich Last Sunday

Keegan de Lancie narrates this little tale about how last Sunday, his grandparents visited. They gave him and both his brothers five dollars each. Now he's broke, and it isn't fair, because he spent it on gum, renting a snake, and gambling.

It's a depressing little tale of entitlement and lack of forethought by a small boy. It's based on a Judith Viorst book, one of those depressing little tomes which take a good lesson and turn it into an unattractive little fable, meant to teach youngsters good habits, but which mainly serve to make them unhappy. It's typical of the spinachy sort of fable that adults who don't remember being children think is fun.
