Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has been smashing its sales goals, bringing in a whole new wave of fans as well as dedicated veterans of the 40K universe, largely thanks to the sheer amount of content it offers at launch. However, while there are many excluded features in Space Marine 2 that would be perfect for a sequel or Dlc, there is a key change that a sequel should definitely make.

While the first two games have followed the exploits of Titus and his band of Ultramarines, it's time that it shifts focus to another Space Marine Chapter, perhaps one that has gone sorely overlooked. The player count on Steam keeps rising, with it becoming the most played Warhammer game of all time, with an all-time peak of 225,690 according to SteamDB. Naturally, this has led Saber Interactive to start looking forward at potential sequels and story-based Dlc, with developers already discussing ideas.

Warhammer 40K’s release would have harmed other online RPG titles’ success, such as Helldivers 2, by taking away the novelty of the game. The reason Helldivers 2 managed to garner fame was largely due to its unique game design, and in another universe, had Warhammer been released, it could’ve replaced Helldivers 2.

The full soundtrack will be available May 17th. Vinyl and CD formats will be available for Pre-Order on May 24th through Mutant Records. It is released in conjunction with Warner Bros. Pictures “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker George Miller and slated for a May 24th, 2024 release in theaters and IMAX nationwide and internationally beginning May 22.

Tom Holkenborg’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga soundtrack is the follow-up to his widely acclaimed score album from 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road.

Holkenborg’s score is driven by George Miller’s desire to capture the inhumanity of the Wasteland through Furiosa’s eyes.

Estonia’s Taska Film, the production company behind local box-office hits such as medieval crime thriller “Melchior the Apothecary,” hits Locarno’s Match Me! industry sessions with a slate that includes Jaak Kilmi’s “Dirt in Your Face,” a coming-of-age rock drama set in the twilight of the Soviet Union backed in part by Apollo, the largest cinema chain in the Baltic region.

The film follows 17-year-old Mihkel and his band as they go on a journey full of alcohol, protest and music to impress a Western producer visiting a rock festival in 1980s Soviet Estonia. In their struggle to keep the band together, the group inadvertently help split the Soviet Union apart.

A networking event, expanded this year from 24 to 32 producers and fortified by the first-time presence of France, Match Me! focuses on emerging producers.

Featuring new projects from tracked auteurs – Lithuania’s Ignas Jonynas, India’s Payal Kapadia and Mexico’s Francisco Vargas – and winners at Cannes, San Sebastian and other major meets, many producers look only a title or two from full emergence.

If the fulsome slates of some producers are anything to go by – Dr’s Leticia Brea, Estonia’s Tallifornia and Kask Films, for instance – production is a going concern in countries outside traditional production centers..

Out of necessity or ambition, producers are scaling up, pushing ever more into genre and reaching out to production partners and talent from around the world.
