The movie itself came off as avant-garde in a cheap fairly incoherent inconsistent way. It was faithful enough to a continuous plot but the experimental nature of the film always seemed to be battling with the story at the heart of the film rather than working in harmony with it. The symbolism presented was generally either obtuse or glaringly obvious. Most of the actors, as noted, were third rate at best and even they were handcuffed by the script or the lack thereof. It took me a bit to get my bearings at first which is something I fully expect in an experimental film, but then once you are pretty sure you know whats going on it shakes things up again and you find yourself working again at picking the story line out of the second rate surrealistic mish mash flooding over you.
