Call of Duty is one of the most recognizable gaming franchises out there and has been dominating supreme in the Fps space for more than twenty years now. Whether you love it or despise it, there’s no denying that this franchise has always felt a thrill to play while still maintaining action that keeps us coming back for more.

Ever since the release of the first Call of Duty title, Activision has raised the stakes with every entry in the franchise. However, to this date, nothing comes close to the series’ most ambitious title, Call of Duty: World at War. It brought us a new enemy in the WW2 setting that pushed the boundaries.

Call of Duty 2025 should be anything but Black Ops 7 for that matter, for it could equate to the same thing, another potential letdown just like Modern Warfare 3 was to many people. Some rumors suggest that the next game in the franchise is likely to be set after the events of Black Ops 2. If that’s true, Activision might be making a big mistake given what happened after their first back-to-back release in the franchise.
Activision released Modern Warfare 3 the very next year after Modern Warfare 2 came out. Next thing we know, it became an instant flop, critically speaking. Although it was a success from a commercial perspective, raking in $775 million in the first five days, fans were less enthused with it.

Call of Duty has forever been a video game marvel. The video game franchise published by Activision has completely changed the entire first-person shooter genre, inspiring most modern-day warfare games that you have seen or played.

According to recent speculations, Call of Duty‘s next Black Ops installment, Black Ops 7 is rumored to focus on future warfare which is likely to be set between 2040 to 2050. If that is actually the case, then the developers of the next game can implement a cool element from another CoD game. Of course, the cool element we are talking about is exosuits. Let’s delve deeper into this.

One of the most disappointing trends we’ve been witnessing in the gaming industry is the push towards live service mode. While the games do tend to receive continual updates after release, they’re accompanied by predatory monetization practices that leave gamers horrified.

Call of Duty has been under fire for years now, all thanks to the incessant monetization tactics. If there’s something in the Fps franchise that can earn money, Activision will make sure to monetize it. Players are particularly frustrated with this issue when it comes to Operator skins. Luckily, Valorant has a clear way out of this.

Riot Games is introducing Valorant’s newest agent Waylay on March 5 with Episode 2025 Act 2. Waylay is the latest addition to the Duelist role and if early impressions are any sign, we might see her compete for Jett and Raze’s spot in the meta. With movement abilities like a double dash and teleportation, we’re getting the first “space-taking duelist” since Jett and Raze.

There are arguments to be made for both sides. Raze’s kit is so unique and useful in certain maps that it’s unlikely that she could be replaced. And while the same goes for Jett, Waylay shares a similar but different kit so there might be more competition there. With the launch just days away, we don’t have to wait long to find out the answer.

Peacock’s upcoming follow-up series to The Office will include one of the classic characters. First reported by Jeff Sneider and confirmed by Variety, Oscar Nuñez will return to play Oscar Martinez in the new Office series.
Variety’s sources say that Nuñez won’t be a central character in the follow-up, but he has been part of the script since the very beginning. It’s possible that other characters from The Office might appear alongside Oscar, but I’d wager that creators Greg Daniels and Michael Korman will want the new series to find its own footing before they bring in more blasts from the past. The report states that Daniels has previously said that “he felt he told a complete story for most of the characters — but if there was one character he’d like to revisit and explore, it would be Oscar.“

Oscar Nuñez will return as Oscar Martinez in Peacock’s follow-up series to “The Office,” Variety has confirmed.
Sources say Nuñez will not be the central character in the upcoming mockumentary sitcom — which takes place in the same universe as “The Office” — as it is an ensemble series. But he is part of the show’s character mix, and has been in the opening script from the beginning.
There are no further details regarding Oscar’s role or storyline in the new show, which Greg Daniels is creating and executive producing with Michael Korman (“Nathan For You”).
As of now, Nuñez is believed to be the only “Office” cast member who will appear in the follow-up series (right now still referred to as the “Untitled Daniels/Korman Project”) — but it has been noted that since it lives in the world of “The Office,” there was always a chance that characters...

Call of Duty and Battlefield games bring some of the best gun gameplay to the gaming industry. While Call of Duty is heavily inclined towards its campaign and story, Bf is literally a large-scale battle arena with players going for each other’s throats. The Bf franchise features a lot of heavy-hitting titles but one game from the series takes the lead in providing the best experience and that is Battlefield 4.

Let’s face it: for all the ways Helldivers 2 lets us deliver explosive democracy to alien scum, its energy weapons feel like bringing a potato gun to a nuclear war. While Arrowhead Game Studios has created one of the most satisfying co-op experiences in recent memory, there’s one department where they’ve missed the mark worse than a Helldiver calling in an orbital strike on their own position.

The problem isn’t just that energy weapons like the Arc-12 Blitzer or Las-5 Scythe feel underwhelming—it’s that they lack the imagination and versatility that could make them truly special. When you compare them to what other sci-fi shooters are doing with energy-based destruction, it feels like Helldivers 2 is stuck in the tutorial phase.

Black Ops opens with a mundane slice of life that could easily be mistaken for a critique of modern bureaucratic life. Dom and Kay, two PCSOs, are doing the bare minimum: handing out leaflets and engaging in petty tasks that are far removed from actual law enforcement.
There’s a sense of weariness, almost as if they’ve become cogs in a machine too large to notice them. In this dull routine, they are an embodiment of those low-level workers, caught in a system that offers little room for advancement or excitement. Their lives seem predictable, at least until an unexpected twist pulls them into an entirely new world.
The story quickly escalates when Di Clinton Blair recruits them for an undercover mission to infiltrate a notorious drug gang. What’s jarring isn’t just the shift in stakes but the absurdity of the situation: Dom and Kay—who couldn...

The idea behind Battlefield Hardline was cool, but it wasn’t well received. The franchise’s pure military origins were abandoned in favor of a more “cops and robbers”– inspired version of the essential gameplay that fans have come to love.

The Battlefield franchise has recently presented EA with its fair share of difficulties. Every major Bf game released in the past ten or so years, with the exception of Battlefield 1, seems to have had its share of problems. No entry has made this more evident than Battlefield 2042 in 2021, which undoubtedly contributed to the alienation of the majority of the fan base and caused them to lose sight of the series’ former glory.
Battlefield 2042 was the biggest failure for the franchise. | Credit: Electronic Arts.
Similar way, EA has also fallen short of Actvision’s Call of Duty, which was once considered to be a mouth-watering battle. And with the cancelation of several Bf titles along with Bf 2042‘s utter failure, that battle doesn’t seem to be reviving itself. That is why EA needs to bring back its another franchise which has the potential to go toe-to-toe against Call of Duty.

For those who prefer to play single-player, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 offers a variety of great options. These include a campaign mode that has been well received by both fans and critics, as well as the option to play the multiplayer and zombies modes split-screen with a friend or by yourself with bots. Some gamers might want to play it offline, but that’s not possible with the latest CoD installment.

Many might be worried that Black Ops 6 has abandoned its offline content because the gaming business is shifting more and more toward online gaming. Ultimately, the offline features of both MW2 and MW3 were subpar, so that was quite obvious in the case of Black Ops 6. But what if you lose your internet connection or there is a server outage? Oh, wait! That has recently happened.

As Black Ops 6 players demand that Treyarch adopt a more realistic design approach with new skins, Call of Duty‘s controversial operators are once again at the center of controversy. While Black Ops 6 players were hoping that 2025 would see the return of more grounded designs, recent additions to the in-game store have disappointed fans. Realism in Call of Duty has been a hot topic for many years.

Although they weren’t the first, games like Modern Warfare 3 in 2023 and Black Ops Cold War in 2020 are among the most recent to feature bizarre operator skins.
However, unrealistic skins in Call of Duty have existed since Advanced Warfare in 2014 when players could take on the role of a gingerbread man. Players appear to have had enough of Call of Duty’s increasingly strange operator skins over the last four or five years.

Citing the Japanese character for “movement” as his 2025 principle, he plans to shift from traditional broadcasting revenue. The exec, who worked in programming and sales divisions, points to AI tech and the network’s Ad Reach Max platform for content creation and ad sales development.
The move comes as former president Akira Ishizawa transitions to lead the new Yomiuri Chukyo Fs Broadcasting Holdings Corporation. Fukuda will oversee Nippon TV’s “New Medium-Term Management Plan 2025-2027,” aiming to expand global market presence through IP assets while addressing TV viewership trends.

As important as it is for Marvel fans, Daredevil: Born Again is as important for the Call of Duty fandom. It includes the return of Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), and more. It’s a blast for Marvelites.
One of the villains of the show is White Tiger, played by Kamar de los Reyes. Now if you aren’t aware of this name, you may know the actor better by the character he played; Raul Menendez from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. I can still feel the menacing but charming look on me every time he appears on the screen, even now, all these years later.
Kamar de los Reyes Will Appear as White Tiger in Daredevil: Born Again
Maybe some are aware of this already but for those who don’t know, this will be the last posthumous appearance of the actor. Kamar...

If you can ignore all the previous controversies, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a decent game, and the Zombies mode is probably its most well-received aspect. However, the inability to pause when playing multiplayer has been the most frequent grievance regarding the mode thus far. Although you can pause while playing solo, most people don’t play that mode.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was released on October 25, 2024. | Credit: Activision.
It has resulted in calls to either loosen or scrap the mode’s Afk timers, as well as cases when users have been booted for inactivity for merely attempting to solve an Easter egg on a map. With the release of Season 2, developer Treyarch appears to be taking things a step further by allowing us to pause while playing in multiplayer. However, will the given time be enough?
Black Ops 6 Zombies will let you pause the game, but will 15 minutes be enough?...

God of War (2018) marked a major turning point for the iconic franchise, both in terms of gameplay and narrative. While the series had always been defined by its action-packed combat and Kratos’ unwavering thirst for vengeance, the 2018 reboot presented players with a bold and unexpected departure from these roots.

Kratos, once a rage-fueled anti-hero, was now portrayed as a father struggling to connect with his young son, Atreus. This dramatic shift created a backlash, dividing fans. The decision came directly from creative director, Cory Barlog, and was inspired by his own personal life experience.

The state of Call of Duty: Warzone has been a hot topic of discussion lately, and not for good reasons. From rampant cheating to game-breaking bugs, the battle royale juggernaut seems to be stumbling more than ever before. And while player frustration has been building for months, it seems we’ve finally reached a breaking point.

Now, one of the game’s most prominent figures has decided enough is enough. After investing hundreds of hours into the game last month alone, they’re stepping away not just out of personal frustration, but to advocate for the countless players who feel their voices aren’t being heard.
In a time when many content creators might prioritize views and engagement over integrity, this bold stance serves as a wake-up call for both the community and the developers. But will Activision finally listen,...

Movies in the Top 5 are Culpa Tuya, Dwayne Johnson's Christmas movie Red One, Culpa Mia, Knox Goes Away, and The Idea of You. The Crysis franchise once stood as a benchmark in gaming. The first game of the series set new standards for immersive sandbox gameplay and graphical quality. Its 2007 debut was a marvel of technical achievement, especially with the level design and the now iconic nanosuit.
It remains one of the most innovative games of all time. | Image Credit: Crytek
But by the time the third game rolled out in 2013, the series had lost its identity and was barely a fraction of the marvel that it was. So how did a series with such potential end up failing? A combination of design missteps, corporate priorities, and the influence of mainstream trends kept Crysis from becoming more than just a meme.
Crysis really should’ve stuck to what made it good The decision to go to console and challenge CoD was not a wise one in hindsight. | Image Credit: Treyarch

Villains in any video game are an essential part of the experience as they’re the forces that bring big changes in the story and create memories that haunt us forever. It’s crucial for a title to get things right with the villain, as an adventure is only as compelling as its primary antagonist.

Activision’s Call of Duty franchise has brought us a number of villains that have left their mark in the gaming industry. When Balatro launched in early 2024, I had absolutely no interest in playing it. My friends did nothing but sing its praises, the internet told me it was the must-play game of the year, and every day when walking back from the shops I'd see my neighbor playing it - I'm not weird, he just always has his curtains open. After a while, the Balatro fever died down, and I figured it would become yet another critically acclaimed indie I just don't have the time for.
Fast-forward a few months and Balatro earns indie game of the year and gets a Goty nomination at the 2024 Game Awards, officially cementing it as one of the best indie games of 2024. Naturally, my curiosity got the better of me, so I finally gave it a go. Of course, anyone who has played Balatro will know that I instantly fell in love because it really is that good.

Henry Cavill's best movies and TV shows show the amazing rise to fame the actor has had as well as the promise the rest of his career holds in store. Born in St Helier, Jersey, Cavill made his feature movie debut in the period adventure movie The Count of Monte Cristo, establishing himself in the business and leading to roles in smaller projects. However, the role that took Cavill from a relatively unknown performer to a household name was Superman in Zack Snyder's first Dceu movie, Man of Steel.
Though Superman is still the role most fans associate with Cavill, he has continued to prove himself capable of shedding that reputation with other terrific and fun roles. He has played the villains in big action movies, taken on more comedic roles, and even starred on the small screen. With his commanding presence and searing intensity, Cavill has held...

A recent court filing has revealed the development costs of three Call of Duty titles between 2015 and 2020. The creative lead and franchise director for Activision's Fps franchise phenomenon, Patrick Kelly, estimated that these three releases cost the company between $450-700 million each, with 2020's Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War having a budget of more than $700 million during its lifecycle.
These development figures, which were discovered by Game File, are being described as among the highest officially confirmed by a gaming company. The breakdown came from a lawsuit concerning the 2022 school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, which partly held Activision responsible due to the shooter's frequent playing of the game. While Activision has previously stated to CBS News that "millions of people around the world enjoy video games without turning to horrific acts," Kelly's declaration for the lawsuit utilizes the budgets as context for Call of Duty's global success.

The multiplayer experience in Call of Duty games has changed a lot over the past few years. Initially, things like skins and calling cars were more military-themed, a serious tone that worked perfectly with the game’s theme. Thanks to games like Fortnite, the idea of wild skins has now been normalized. Fans have complained that these “outlandish” skins are too much and are ruining the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has become probably the most significant title of the franchise. After the initial stumble, the game well and truly lived up to expectations and marked the most successful launch in the history of the franchise. However, there is a dark side to this game as well.

With the return of some beloved maps and some intriguing new features, many thought the game had the makings of a winning formula. However, the initial enthusiasm for the title appears to have subsided considerably, and the main reason for this decline is the over-infestation by hackers. But why haven’t the developers found a solution yet? An ex-CoD employee has the answer to this question.

One of the unstoppable forces in gaming, the Call of Duty franchise, has repeatedly indicated interest in a motion picture adaptation. However, this hasn’t happened for a variety of reasons. Call of Duty doesn’t really need the money; the name of the brand is still valuable after decades of occasionally disparaging entries, and Black Ops 6 and Warzone‘s success has given it a lot of appeal now. The adaptation has been in limbo, though, and that doesn’t change that.

2024's best action movies range from big-budget sci-fi epics to martial arts thrillers. There has been a lot of variety in the biggest action movies of the year. Some big franchises returned for highly-anticipated sequels, but there has also been enough room for original stories, some of which could yet act as the launch pad for emerging new talents in the genre. The Krig C is a strong weapon in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which comes as no surprise since the Krig was a very powerful weapon in the original Black Ops. The weapon is an automatic that is pretty reliable overall. Whether the Krig C is the meta is up to the player, as it relies on being able to handle recoil and accurate aim in intense combat situations.
While the Krig C is not as accurate as the best XM4 loadout, it's still better for many players than the best Ak-47 loadout. This is because it has a high rate of fire like the Ak-47 but doesn't have the kind of recoil control that the XM4 does. However, it has the best of both worlds where it counts with its power and rate of fire, so the time to kill can be pretty short if you know what you're doing.
