Peacock’s upcoming follow-up series to The Office will include one of the classic characters. First reported by Jeff Sneider and confirmed by Variety, Oscar Nuñez will return to play Oscar Martinez in the new Office series.

Variety’s sources say that Nuñez won’t be a central character in the follow-up, but he has been part of the script since the very beginning. It’s possible that other characters from The Office might appear alongside Oscar, but I’d wager that creators Greg Daniels and Michael Korman will want the new series to find its own footing before they bring in more blasts from the past. The report states that Daniels has previously said that “he felt he told a complete story for most of the characters — but if there was one character he’d like to revisit and explore, it would be Oscar.“

Nuñez will reprise his beloved role as Oscar Martinez in the new mockumentary series, which is set in the same universe as “The Office,” an individual with knowledge told TheWrap, though additional details about the storyline involving Nuñez are being kept under wraps.

Oscar Nuñez will return as Oscar Martinez in Peacock’s follow-up series to “The Office,” Variety has confirmed.

Sources say Nuñez will not be the central character in the upcoming mockumentary sitcom — which takes place in the same universe as “The Office” — as it is an ensemble series. But he is part of the show’s character mix, and has been in the opening script from the beginning.

There are no further details regarding Oscar’s role or storyline in the new show, which Greg Daniels is creating and executive producing with Michael Korman (“Nathan For You”).

The Battlefield franchise has recently presented EA with its fair share of difficulties. Every major Bf game released in the past ten or so years, with the exception of Battlefield 1, seems to have had its share of problems. No entry has made this more evident than Battlefield 2042 in 2021, which undoubtedly contributed to the alienation of the majority of the fan base and caused them to lose sight of the series’ former glory.

Similar way, EA has also fallen short of Actvision’s Call of Duty, which was once considered to be a mouth-watering battle. And with the cancelation of several Bf titles along with Bf 2042‘s utter failure, that battle doesn’t seem to be reviving itself. That is why EA needs to bring back its another franchise which has the potential to go toe-to-toe against Call of Duty.

For those who prefer to play single-player, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 offers a variety of great options. These include a campaign mode that has been well received by both fans and critics, as well as the option to play the multiplayer and zombies modes split-screen with a friend or by yourself with bots. Some gamers might want to play it offline, but that’s not possible with the latest CoD installment.

As Black Ops 6 players demand that Treyarch adopt a more realistic design approach with new skins, Call of Duty‘s controversial operators are once again at the center of controversy. While Black Ops 6 players were hoping that 2025 would see the return of more grounded designs, recent additions to the in-game store have disappointed fans. However, unrealistic skins in Call of Duty have existed since Advanced Warfare in 2014 when players could take on the role of a gingerbread man. Players appear to have had enough of Call of Duty’s increasingly strange operator skins over the last four or five years.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and Wrath of Man are currently on Prime Video's Top 10 most-watched movie list for January 12. When Balatro launched in early 2024, I had absolutely no interest in playing it. A recent court filing has revealed the development costs of three Call of Duty titles between 2015 and 2020. The creative lead and franchise director for Activision's Fps franchise phenomenon, Patrick Kelly, estimated that these three releases cost the company between $450-700 million each, with 2020's Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War having a budget of more than $700 million during its lifecycle.

These development figures, which were discovered by Game File, are being described as among the highest officially confirmed by a gaming company. The breakdown came from a lawsuit concerning the 2022 school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, which partly held Activision responsible due to the shooter's frequent playing of the game.
