The marketing campaign for Zach Cregger’s new movie Weapons officially kicked off with a series of teaser images today, and Warner Bros. has also launched an in-universe website.
Titled Maybrook News, the website documents the strange happenings in the town of Maybrook, where the eerie events of Cregger’s upcoming movie Weapons take place.
The main story on the site right now teases the plot of Weapons, which takes place in a town where 17 local children leave home simultaneously at 2:17am… and never return home again. The faux news report explains, “A chilling mystery has gripped the small town of Maybrook after 17 children voluntarily left their homes Wednesday morning. Authorities are baffled by the inexplicable disappearance, which has shaken the community to its core.”
“Upon investigation, front door camera footage showed the children leaving their homes at 2:17am Wednesday morning without any signs of force. Since then,...

A couple weeks after making its mark at CinemaCon with footage that was described as being “batshit insane,” Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have officially kicked off the marketing campaign for director Zach Cregger’s (Barbarian) Weapons with a mysterious image.
This first look teaser image for the upcoming “horror epic” – which has been compared to Paul Thomas Anderson’s Magnolia – is a simple photo of an alarm clock set to 2:17am, which is an important time in the world of Cregger’s Weapons. That’s precisely when every kid in town wakes up, gets out of bed, walks outside in the dark and never comes back home.
And that’s really all we know about Weapons at this time, which will be released by New Line in theaters on August 8. Check out the teaser image below and expect more very soon.

Step aside, Demogorgons, Steve Harrington has a new dangerous threat to fight. Stranger Things star Joe Keery steps into the shoes of a self-storage employee named Teacake in the upcoming thriller film Cold Storage, to be released later this year.
Teacake and his co-worker Naomi (played by Barbarian star Georgina Campbell) are tasked with monitoring the units within the storage center, which was built in an old US military base. But as these things often go, something escapes and causes catastrophe. In this case, the escapee is a parasitic fungus that rapidly mutates along with the rising temperature within the facility, unleashing "brain-controlling, body-bursting terrors."
The low-level employees are left to fend for themselves against the anomaly alongside a grizzled bioterror operative played by Liam Neeson (Taken). If the trio doesn't prevent the virus from escaping, it could spell the end of humankind.

“Pig” filmmaker Michael Sarnoski has just found his next big project: adapting Hideo Kojima’s “Death Stranding” for the big screen.
The star-studded PlayStation game “Death Stranding” has long captured big names: Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Guillermo del Toro, Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, Margaret Qualley, Guillermo del Toro, and Nicolas Winding Refn have all lent their likenesses and voices to the popular video game. While there is no news yet if any of the actors will reprise their respective roles for the live-action film version, Sarnoski no doubt will assemble a buzzy cast.
Deadline first reported that Sarnoski will write and direct the adaptation for A24, with game creator Hideo Kojima’s Kojima Productions producing. IndieWire has confirmed the news with A24.

Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired North American rights to Studiocanal’s sci-fi comedy “Cold Storage.” The filmmakers have unveiled a first look.
The film toplines “Stranger Things” breakout Joe Keery alongside “Barbarian” standout Georgina Campbell and “Smile” star Sosie Bacon. The cast also includes screen veterans Vanessa Redgrave (“Mission: Impossible”), Lesley Manville (“Phantom Thread”) and Liam Neeson (“Taken”).
Jonny Campbell, whose credits include “Dracula,” directs from a screenplay by Hollywood veteran David Koepp, adapting from his own novel. Koepp’s scripting resume includes blockbusters “Jurassic Park,” “Mission: Impossible” and more recently, “Presence.” Gavin Polone, known for “Zombieland” and “Panic Room,” produces alongside Koepp.
The film follows Teacake (Keery) and Naomi (Campbell), two employees at a self-storage facility built atop a former military base, whose night shift transforms into a nightmare when a government-sealed parasitic fungus escapes from the underground levels. As temperatures rise, the microorganism unleashes its brain-controlling, body-bursting mayhem on anything in its path.

Horror fans have been clamouring for some details for Barbarian director Zack Cregger's mysterious second feature, Weapons, and we finally have some idea of what to expect following a screening of the first trailer at CinemaCon.
Up until now, the only information we've been given about the movie is that it was developed as “a multi and inter-related story horror epic that tonally is in the vein of Magnolia, the 1999 actor-crammed showcase from filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.”
Per Variety, the movie stars The Fantastic Four: First Steps' Julia Garner as an elementary school teacher who arrives at work one morning to discover that every single member of her class is missing. The trailer continues with a child's voiceover telling us that, "Mrs. Gandy’s room was totally empty. Because the night before, at 2.17 am, every kid woke up, got out of bed, walked downstairs and into the dark, and they never came back.

Back in 2022, director Zach Cregger wowed horror fans with his film Barbarian, which was a hit with critics as well as audiences. Following its success, many wondered what he would do next, and it was Warner Bros. that decided to bank on his next effort, Weapons, hoping to achieve even bigger success as he continued to evolve as a filmmaker. The movie has been gaining significant buzz behind the scenes following the film moving up on the release schedule and, with its first trailer being presented to a creeped-out crowd at CinemaCon, the plot to his Barbarian follow-up has finally been revealed.
Per Variety, Cregger presented a first look at Weapons, which features a stellar cast that includes Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Benedict Wong and June Diane Raphael. Garner appears to lead the project as an elementary school teacher who discovers that her first-period class has disappeared the night before.

Warner Bros.’ presentation at CinemaCon on Tuesday night was filled with plenty of big screen spectacle, but it came as rumors have swirled around the future of the studio and its film chiefs, Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy.
Over the past weekend, reports surfaced that Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav was in preliminary talks with other executives to potentially replace the former MGM chiefs, who joined Warner following the 2022 merger between Warner and Discovery.
De Luca and Abdy didn’t make even an oblique mention of those reports, instead passionately presenting films that represent their approach to slate building with top budgets for original films, the sort of films that cinephiles lament aren’t being made by mainstream Hollywood anymore.
Two weeks from now, one of those films, Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners,” will hit theaters with early tracking projecting a $40 million start. Warner is banking on Jordan Peele-esque legs for this $90 million,...

We haven’t heard much about Zach Cregger’s follow-up to “Barbarian” until now. Cregger was on hand at CinemaCon to tease “Weapons,” which New Line Cinema chief Richard Brenner described as “batshit insane.”
The studio is clearly high on “Weapons,” having moved it up from a planned release in January 2026 to now opening August 8, 2025. We can see why. Cregger declined to give any spoilers, but the first look (which he added will likely never make its way to the public) did go deeper on some specifics than has been public in the past.

“Barbarian” mastermind Zach Cregger is officially back, bringing a deeply unsettling look at his latest film, “Weapons,” to CinemaCon 2025.
During a robust Warner Bros. presentation at the Las Vegas gathering, Cregger proved why he’s one of the most coveted directors currently working in the lucrative genre. This time around, he’s assembled an ensemble led by Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Benedict Wong and June Diane Raphael.
Garner stars as an elementary school teacher having possibly the worst day ever, when one morning she arrives to school to find her entire first period class disappeared the night before.

Resident Evil is finally getting the adaptation that the iconic video game franchise deserves, according to its director. After a set of much-maligned movies and a short-lived Netflix series, Resident Evil fans have been waiting long enough for a faithful interpretation of the material. It seems their patience will finally be rewarded when the new film hits theaters next year.
During Sony's CinemaCon panel, Resident Evil director Zach Cregger has confirmed that his upcoming reboot will be unlike any of the previous films in the franchise. He described a faithful adaptation of the source material, teasing that it will carry over the innate terror that each game in the series establishes. The new movie, which stars Austin Abrams in the lead role, will follow "one central protagonist from point A to point B" on their journey to hell (which we assume he means figuratively...). It was miraculous, really.
Imagine it – a 10:30 a.m. screening on an overcast Wednesday, charcoal-colored clouds dappling the sky. A handful of film journalists had been summoned to an Imax-equipped multiplex in the valley to watch Ryan Coogler’s new period vampire movie “Sinners.” And throughout the movie, which runs more than two hours (including a pair of post-credits scenes), there were multiple applause breaks. It was like being at a new “Avengers” movie, only it was an R-rated, blood-splattered original thriller set in the Jim Crow-era South and featuring a pair of performances by Coogler regular Michael B. Jordan as morally nebulous twins who return to their backwoods hometown to open a rollicking juke joint.

Sony Pictures recently revealed exciting news about the upcoming Resident Evil movie reboot at CinemaCon. Zach Cregger, the director of Barbarian, is leading the project and promises a fresh take on the popular horror franchise. He says this movie will be completely different from the previous Resident Evil films.
At the event, Cregger explained what makes his version unique. “There’s a moment that comes in almost every Resident Evil game where you find yourself in a dark passageway, your health is almost zero and there’s no way around,” he said. “You have to go through but you know there’s something awful for you in the darkness.”
This feeling of fear and tension is what he wants to bring to the film. Cregger confirmed that his movie will follow a single main character on a dangerous journey from point A to point B. Along the way, things will get darker and more terrifying.

Nine months later, Vargas said he was hoping to do something gory, sexy, crazy, and elevated with the property… But it wasn’t to be. Our friends at Bloody Disgusting have learned that Vargas is no longer attached to direct the film.

Fans of Capcom's renowned survival horror video game were ecstatic to recently learn that Sony was contemplating a reboot of the original Resident Evil film series, which starred Mila Jovovich.
Compared to the Jovovich/Paul W. S. Anderson-developed films, which included a number of original characters and story twists, the reboot is said to be far more true to the storyline of the Capcom video game franchise.
Recently, Austin Abrams (Euphoria) was offered the role of the male lead in the reboot, which is written and directed by Zach Cregger.
Now, a new report from World of Reel states that Anora award-winning actress Mikey Madison is now in talks for the female lead.
The unconfirmed plot of the film is said to center on, "a hapless courier (Abrams) tasked with delivering a package to a remote hospital. He finds himself caught in the middle of an outbreak and...

Once best known for his comedy as one of the founding members of The Whitest Kids U' Know, Zach Cregger is now an up-and-coming horror director thanks to his hit film Barbarian. Many of us have been eager to see what the filmmaker does next and we'll finally find out later this year with the release of his next movie, Weapons, coming out this August.
Beyond Weapons, the director has also been tapped to helm Sony and Constantin Film's upcoming live-action Resident Evil movie, a film that is said to be more faithful to the games. The most recent rumor is that Academy Award-winning Anora star Mikey Madison might have been offered a leading role, but here are a few other updates you may have missed.

Oscar-winner Mikey Madison looks set to jump from Anora to Zach Cregger’s upcoming Resident Evil film: more here.
In the wake of Mikey Madison’s performance in last year’s awards magnet Anora, the 26 year old star appears to be about to do something rather awe-inspiring with her soaring career: walk The Path of the Cage.
After winning the Best Actor Oscar in 1996 for Leaving Las Vegas, Nicolas Cage took a mighty career swerve and made a trio of beloved action movies. It was a bold choice that resulted in The Rock, Con Air and Face/Off, all released between 1996 and 1997. We’ve been waiting ever since for somebody to try to match the boldness of Cage’s intrepid move.
Enter then, Mikey Madison.

One of the major things we learned about Mikey Madison from her Oscar-winning performance in Sean Baker's Anora is that the girl can scream. Well. And loudly. It's an effective skill to have, particularly if you're considering joining a reboot of one of the most beloved horror franchises of all time. Which is apparently what is currently happening, if new Resident Evil rumors are to be believed.
That's right: according to a new report from World of Reel, the Better Things and Once Upon A Time in Hollywood actress has been offered the lead part in Barbarian writer/director Zach Cregger's reboot of Resident Evil. Madison, if she accepts this purportedly offered role, would star opposite the already-cast Austin Abrams (perhaps best known for his roles in Euphoria and The Walking Dead). From the producers of Barbarian and Late Night with the Devil, open the trailer for Dead Mail below.
Written and directed by Joe DeBoer and Kyle McConaghy, the ’80s-set thriller streams April 18 on Shudder.
On a desolate, Midwestern county road, a bound man crawls towards a remote postal box, managing to slide a blood-stained plea-for-help message into the slot before a panicking figure closes in behind him.
The note makes its way to the desk of Jasper, a seasoned ‘dead letter’ investigator at a 1980s midwestern post office. As he begins to piece together the letter’s origins, it leads him down a violent, unforeseen path to a kidnapped keyboard engineer and his eccentric business associate.
Sterling Macer Jr., John Fleck, Susan Piver, Micki Jackson, Tomas Boykin, and Nick Heyman star.
Zachary Weil and Brett Arndt produce, with Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Adam Goldworm, and Susan Priver serving as executive producers.

With almost every live-action Resident Evil adaptation up to this point (save for Johannes Roberts' 2021 film Welcome to Raccoon City), the story of the film or television show has shifted dramatically from that of the game. Mainstays from the video games, such as Chris and Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, and many others, have, one way or another, fallen to the wayside. Things like the Netflix series or Paul W.S. Anderson's films have taken plenty of creative liberties. Now, a new report on the latest Resident Evil movie in development seems to indicate that this newest iteration will attempt another big creative swing.

Strange Darling filmmaker Jt Mollner took to Twitter to address the recent news that he’s in talks to revive the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise.
His comment?: “Don’t believe everything you read.”
Whether he’s really not involved or merely being cagey remains to be seen, but sources still indicate that we haven’t seen the last of Leatherface.
In addition to Mollner, Deadline reported that producer Roy Lee was at the forefront of the conversation surrounding the reboot, with Glen Powell interested in starring and producing.
Lionsgate and A24 are among the studios said to be knocking at the door of Verve, the agency has repped the series’ rights since 2017.
Launching by Tobe Hooper‘s genre-defining classic in 1974, the Texas Chainsaw franchise consists of nine films across various timelines, the most recent being Netflix’s 2022 legacy sequel, Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

The highly-anticipated reboot of Resident Evil from Barbarian director Zach Cregger may have its lead actor, and he's already well-versed in the realm of zombies and horror. Deadline reports that Austin Abrams is in early talks to join the Resident Evil cast. No word on what role he'll be playing, if it will be an established character in the franchise or a new invention from Cregger and co-screenwriter Shay Hatten.
In addition to appearing in Wolfs with Brad Pitt and George Clooney and starring in Euphoria as Ethan Lewis, Abrams played Ron Anderson in nine episodes of The Walking Dead's fifth and sixth seasons. The complex young character became an antagonist for Rick Grimes and his gang during their time in the Alexandria Safe Zone. Abrams also appeared in Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, so his horror credits are already robust.

A new ‘Resident Evil’ movie is on the way, and it’s shaking things up with a story we haven’t seen before. According to rumors, the action kicks off with a courier who’s just trying to do his job—deliver a package to a remote hospital. But things go sideways fast when he stumbles into a full-blown outbreak. Soon, he’s battling mutated creatures left and right, fighting to make it out alive.
Word about this comes from industry insider DanielRPK, who dropped some details on his Patreon. He shared that there’s a character played by Austin Abrams, listed as Bryan. Now, that name’s raising eyebrows.
Could it be a sneaky codename for someone we already know, like Leon S. Kennedy, the rookie cop turned badass from ‘Resident Evil 2’? Or maybe it’s a fresh face named Bryan, possibly even Brian Irons, the shady police chief from the same game.

Zach Cregger is planning to start shooting his Resident Evil reboot this summer in Europe, and he’s considering Austin Abrams of Euphoria as a potential star. The actor is said to be in early talks to lead the reboot, and this would be something of a reunion as Abrams is part of the cast of Weapons, Cregger’s highly anticipated follow-up to Barbarian.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the film is said to have “elements of a wilderness survival thriller.” Cregger co-wrote the script with Shay Hatten (John Wick: Chapter 4). In a statement, Cregger said, “I’ve been a rabid fan of these games for decades and to be able to bring this amazing title to life is a true honor.” The Resident Evil reboot has already been slated for a September 18, 2026 release.

Warner Bros. has shifted its upcoming release rescheduling, resulting in new dates for three highly-anticipated genre titles.
Weapons, Zach Cregger‘s follow-up to Barbarian, has been bumped up to August 8, 2025. Previously scheduled for January 16 of next year, the summer release shows the studio’s confidence in the project.
Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Benedict Wong, Austin Abrams, Amy Madigan, and June Diane Raphael star in the horror epic about a small community after a group of kids mysteriously disappear overnight.
Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Bride!, originally due out on September 26, 2025, has been pushed to March 6, 2026; a time frame that WB has found success with big genre projects.
Inspired by Bride of Frankenstein, the monster movie stars Jessie Buckley, Christian Bale, Penélope Cruz, Peter Sarsgaard, and Annette Bening.
Flowervale Street, from It Follows writer-director David Robert Mitchell, has moved from March 13, 2026 to August 14, 2026 in an effort to take advantage of late-summer audiences.

Josh Brolin's upcoming horror movie Weapons has moved up its release date following a reshuffling at Warner Bros. Being moved up suggests that the studio is very confident in the movie, which is directed by Zach Cregger, who previously helmed the hit 2022 horror film Barbarian. The story of Weapons will follow an ensemble who reacts to the mysterious disappearances of multiple children in a small town. In addition to Brolin, the cast of the movie includes Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, and Benedict Wong.
According to Warner Bros., the studio has switched Weapons' release date from January 16, 2026 to August 8, 2025. It has taken the release date that was originally planned for Paul Thomas Anderson's next movie, titled One Battle After Another, which will now release in September. Warner Bros. is making some major changes to its release slate ahead of its CinemaCon presentation in two weeks, as five films — including Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” and Maggie Gyllenhaal’s “The Bride!” — see shifts on the 2025 and 2026 release schedule.
“One Battle After Another,” a crime thriller starring Leonardo DiCaprio, moves from an August 8 release to September 26. The film will still get its planned release on Imax screens — including select theaters with 70mm — and will now also get a special release on VistaVision, the extinct film format recently revived by the Oscar-winning drama “The Brutalist.”
Sources at Warner Bros. say the delay will give the studio more time to prepare VistaVision prints and projectors for the release. The move also situates the film in the more traditional period for awards contenders in the fall.

Warner Bros has just made some razor-sharp release-date changes ahead of CinemaCon, ones that could potentially keep the Burbank, CA lot more toward the black this year than in the red.
In a year when there were four $100 million-plus auteur-driven movies — one of which, Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17, recently misfired — Warners Bros distribution has taken the pressure off the studios’ schedule in that regard, and even placed a potential tentpole into the year: Zach Cregger’s anticipated genre movie Weapons on August 8.
Cregger’s next movie after Barbarian was previously scheduled for MLK weekend 2026, on January 16. What kept Warners from moving the pic starring Josh Brolin, Julia Garner and Alden Ehrenreich was that the theatrical release was tied to Imax screens — can’t give up those auditoriums. In a bit of unexpected news, Darren Aronofsky is headed to the world of Stephen King. Yes, the man behind everything from "Requiem for a Dream" to "Mother!" has been tapped to direct Netflix's upcoming film version of "Cujo," King's 1981 novel that previously inspired a big screen adaptation in 1983. Now, Aronosky will be afforded the chance to put his own stamp on the material.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aronofsky has signed on to direct the adaptation, which is being produced by Roy Lee. There is still no word on who is penning the screenplay, but the filmmaker is expected to be meeting with candidates soon. This is all pretty surprising, as Netflix's "Cujo" was only revealed to be in development very recently. It seems this one won't be languishing in development hell.

There is still no word on who is penning the screenplay, but the filmmaker is expected to be meeting with candidates soon. This is all pretty surprising, as Netflix's "Cujo" was only revealed to be in development very recently. It seems this one won't be languishing in development hell.

A horror remake starring Bill Skarsgård has just become a success on streaming after walking away empty-handed at the Oscars. After appearing in movies like Allegiant (2016) and Atomic Blonde (2017), Skarsgård rocketed to fame with the release of It in 2017, a Stephen King adaptation that featured the actor taking on the role of Pennywise the Clown to terrifying effect. The film was a massive horror hit, and Skarsgård reprised his role in 2019's It Chapter Two.
Skarsgård isn't ready to say goodbye to Pennywise just yet, however, and he's set to play the monster once more in HBO's Welcome to Derry prequel show. The actor's exploration of the horror genre extends beyond King adaptations, though, and he recently appeared in Barbarian (2022), a surprise hit from director Zach Cregger. After detours to the world of action with movies like John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023) and The Crow (2024), Skarsgård returned to horror at the...

Hideo Kojima is bringing his signature storytelling to the big screen. Following the recent announcement of Death Stranding 2 at The Game Awards, Kojima Productions has officially partnered with Hammerstone Studios to develop and produce a film adaptation of Death Stranding.
Per Deadline, Hammerstone, led by Alex Lebovici, will fully finance the film, with Kojima himself producing alongside Lebovici. Additional production support will come from Kojima Productions US, with Allan Ungar serving as an executive producer. While details on the plot remain under wraps, the film promises to expand on the Death Stranding universe, introducing new elements and characters rather than directly adapting the game’s storyline.
While video game adaptations have historically been hit-or-miss, Kojima and Lebovici are setting out to redefine the genre. Unlike the typical blockbuster-style adaptations, they promise something more intimate and grounded.
"This is a pivotal moment for the franchise, I couldn’t be more excited...

You know those moments when you feel something creeping behind you, but when you turn, there’s nothing there? That sense of “something’s wrong” that’s just hard to shake? Well, some films do just that—they get under your skin, like a slow burn that’ll leave you with that nagging sense of dread long after the credits roll. It’s not just about jump scares, folks; it’s about the kind of psychological disturbance that keeps you up at night, staring at your bedroom door, wondering if you locked it properly.

These movies? They’ll make your mind a haunted house. The tension? It’s like someone’s whispering right behind you… but when you look, all you see is your own reflection. Yeah, it’s That kind of unsettling.
So grab your blanket,...

Co-writer and star Seth Rogen claims that distributor Sony thought Jonah Hill’s character was “too vile” to interact with a PlayStation console in 2007’s Superbad.
Joint screenwriters Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg put their own teenage experiences in what became their hit 2007 comedy, Superbad – though some of their antics appeared to have been a bit much for distributor, Sony.
While walking the red carpet for his latest comedy, the Apple TV+ series, The Studio, Rogen was asked by Rotten Tomatoes about the funniest note he’d ever received from a company executive. Rogen then revealed that, during the production of Superbad, he was told that Jonah Hill’s character, Seth, was considered so “reprehensible” that he was expressly forbidden from touching a Sony PlayStation.
In a clip uploaded to TikTok (as spotted by Variety), Rogen says: “We were told when we made the movie, Jonah Hill’s character, Seth,...

Despite being wildly popular for decades, both as an author and as a source of inspiration for on-screen media, Stephen King is more popular now than he's ever been. Case in point, Netflix is once again teaming with the prolific author for a new adaptation of his 1981 novel "Cujo." It seems this deadly dog will once again have the chance to show his teeth for a new generation.
According to Deadline, Netflix has closed a deal to make a new movie based on "Cujo," with Roy Lee, of "Barbarian" and "It" fame, producing. No writer or director is currently attached, but the report notes that they will be going out to writers "immediately." Clearly, Netflix doesn't intend to let this languish in development hell. Netflix has partnered with King several times before on movies such as "1922" and "Gerald's Game,...

Iconic Stephen King Story Getting New Adaptation At Netflix After '80s Movie Changed Its Dark Ending
Stephen King is one of the most frequently adapted authors in film and television history, with these projects garnering wide acclaim for several decades. Brian De Palma’s adaptation of King’s debut novel, Carrie, created a legendary horror sequence in 1976 when Sissy Spacek was drenched in pig's blood. In 1980, Stanley Kubrick directed The Shining with a visually stunning yet off-kilter take on King’s novel. Ten years later, Misery won Kathy Bates an Academy Award for her chilling performance as an obsessed literary fan, with other successful King adaptations including Stand By Me, Green Mile, and The Shawshank Redemption.
Recent years have seen a resurgence in King adaptations, with Andy Muschietti's It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019) revitalizing the horror franchise as Bill Skarsgård took on the role of the killer clown Pennywise. Despite its box office struggles, Doctor Sleep (2019), a sequel to Kubrick's 1980 film, received positive reviews...
