It’s October so it’s must be Halloween attraction-going time right? Well if the movies are anything to go by that’s definitely the case. The latest take on the Halloween scare attraction is literally that, a film called Scare Attraction, from British writer/director Steven M. Smith, who’s resume reads like a list of horror films to always avoid! Though to be fair to Smith his last direct to DVD title, The Haunting of Borley Rectory, seems to have found one hell of an audience in the UK, remaining on the official charts for what felt like and eternity

Elle Fanning, Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks, Abbey Lee, Bella Heathcote and Jena Malone have signed on to co-star in Nicolas Winding Refn’s next feature.

“After making Drive and falling madly in love with the electricity of Los Angeles, I knew I had to return to tell the story of The Neon Demon,” Winding Refn said.

Principal photography will begin in Los Angeles on March 30. Gaumont and Wild Bunch are co-selling the title.

Wim Wenders’ Les Beaux Jours D’Aranjuez

This adaptation of the play by Peter Handke was announced by Alfama’s Paulo Branco during the Efm. It will star Reda Kateb and Sophie Semin. Wenders is expected to shoot in June.

UK-based Greenway Entertainment has struck a deal with Zss Entertainment in the Us to produce 12 films together over the next six years.

The new features to emerge from the co-production partnership will be shot mainly in the Us, UK, Morocco and Dubai.

Titles include:

Greenway Entertainment, run by Steven M Smith, has produced indie features for the past eight years. Upcoming films include Haunted, Tales of the Supernatural and portmanteau The Demon.

Smith said: “Options are in place to get our first film off the ground in early 2014 filming in London, La, Dubai and Morocco.”...
