The plot holes are SO annoying. In. Every. Single. Episode. You could drive an ocean liner through the many plot holes! Sad thing is they aren't hard to fix but there's just no care or concern to do so on the part of any of the directors as evidenced in Roth's sit down and chat with them. Roth's insistence that each and every particular urban legend is the most well known and widespread gets tiresome and phony since I've lived a lot longer than he has and never heard of half of theses and the one I heard the most isn't even done or mentioned. The acting wasn't all bad (depends on the episode). The show is worth a watch and INFINITELY better than Two Sentence Horror Stories.
Not exactly sure when Eli Roth signed some big contract with the travel channel or when the Travel Channel became paranormal and horror based as it is now. Either way this series is off to a promising start with some solid horror based subject matter. While a lot of it reminiscent to certain things we've seen before spliced with urban legend topics, it's executed passably and is rather enticing at times. There are a lot of scenes that have been taken from other movies but at this point it's hard not to have familiarity in 2022. I do like the Eli Roth interview with the Director at the end of each episode as it gives a nice aspect. I will definitely continue to see what other topics they touch on which is more than I can say for most series.
It was a good concept but there are so many urban legends they could have done. Unless they are making a season 2. Which I hope they do bad or good its still a fun watch. Some of these are 100x better than season 3 of creepshow even some of season 2 of creepshows were bad. It was weird though how eli had interviews with directors in first couple episodes then nothing till episode 8. Here's my opinion on the season.
The best episodes were... the choking doberman.
The red room.
The scuba diver.
Episodes just ok.... the bite the white dress the creep in the walls
the worst episodes the harvest the haunted shower.

I was a bit hesitant about watching this series at first as I have not had much luck finding decent horror anthologies besides Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities. By no means am I putting this series in that league. It's not, however I find each story that I watched entertaining enough, and production values and the acting was fairly decent.
I would have of course liked to see them more closely follow the urban legends they seem based off, instead of going a bit 'out there' with them. Which is especially the case of the 2nd one in the series.
However, they are watchable and kept me wanting to see what was happening next.

I've always loved horror, whether it's your typical gore kind of horror, creepy horror, disturbing horror, or psychological horror. Horror has a broad range in its meaning for me in the sense that I view them from a "it can happen in real life" perspective.
Jumping into this series was enjoyable and I love mini horror shorts, anthologies that tell individual stories like visual book chapters. This started strong and keeps your attention throughout each episode, and the filmmaker discussion at the end of each anthology adds a perfect touch to the entire series. This is especially because I love taking deeper dives into how films are created, how a thought behind a project, a creature, a story becomes a film; and becomes bigger than what it began as.
Telling stories in artistic form, especially in filmmaking is amazing and I'm always here for it. I hope this series continues because you come to appreciate it for what it is.
You will enjoy it.
