Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi

When Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi was being promoted, I expected it to be a good comedy given the two stellar actors in the cast. Surprisingly all the reviews were poor and it bomb ed at the box office.

Last night I found PKPS on You Tube so I watched it as a comedy is much better than a violent or serious movie just before bedtime.

Well Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi is certainly not as bad as the critics and other reviewers make it out to be. It is stretched in parts and a bit too much propaganda of so called Gujarati 'asmita' and 'over the top' Punjabiyat but other than that it is a very watchable film with a good dose of humour. I especially liked the few political digs that were stuck in the dialogues here and there ...

PKPS does not purport to be serious cinema or anything other than fun; in this case centred around the romance between a Punjabi lad and a Gujarati lass. The Punjabi family come to live in a typical Gujarati society and the humour takes off from there. It is not a rib tickling comedy but the dialogues are witty and overall it is a humorous film.

So much for the critics and poor reviews ....

Low budget confusing film. although rishi and paresh hate each other they are to togeather throughout the movie to the point that paresh also calls rishi on the game show kkc, when asked do you have a friend to call for advice he in turn replies no i have an enemy to call.

I found this movie on Jio cinema and I watched its trailer. The concept looked something not much tried. So decided to watch it. This movie is not like Paresh Sir's comedy like Hera Pheri, Hungama or Oh My God. But still gives a good laughter riot. It is not like a theatre watch or something you should pay rupees for it. If you have Jio cinema, then it can be watched absolutely free. Pros about the Film -Not any types of only slapstick comedy or typical jokes cracked by kids -Not at all 18+ comedy. Only a few dialouges and few slangs,but not something that will make you feel awkward.Family Friendly -Even if actors look like they are overacting, they still look funny, or you can say this is there talent Cons -No need of a item song at all and that also with nonsense lyrics -Film is too long and at end loses all its comedy and looks like streched.

The timing of everything is bad, editor did a very bad job. Very high annoying music and Rishi kapoor's bad and over acting ruined the whole film
