"Miss You 2024" left me utterly disappointed. As a fan of Tamil cinema, I had high hopes, but this film fails to deliver on multiple fronts. The plot lacks depth, and the execution feels half-baked. The direction by Pandi Pirraloda could not save the film from its many flaws. The pacing was painfully slow, and the performances failed to make any significant impact. The film attempts to touch on emotions but does so in a clichéd and predictable manner. Sadly, I couldn't connect with the characters or the story, making it a forgettable experience. If you're looking for quality entertainment, this is not the film for you.
Verdict: A complete miss, not worth your time.

A neat and nice time-pass watch from director Rajasekar with good performances from Siddharth sir & Ashika mam, plus the rest of the cast! Ghibran sir's background score and music were nice, but some songs seemed forced into a dance number. Stellar production value from 7 Million Dollar Studios team as well!
(Copying and pasting same paragraph to hit the character requirement)

Seriously Disappointing!
What I hoped would be a charming rom-com turned out to be one of the most poorly directed and performed movies I've seen. It's plagued by an illogical story, cliched and cringeworthy dialogues, and an uninspired background score.
The plot revolves around Vasu, who suffers memory loss after a car accident and forgets two years of his life. The premise had potential, but it's bogged down by absurdities like the term "Intermediate Memory Loss" (it should have been "Intermittent Memory Loss"). The story itself is riddled with nonsensical and contrived scenes. For example, Vasu randomly meets a stranger at a railway station, accepts a ride to Bengaluru, and becomes best friends with him overnight. There are plenty of such head-scratching moments throughout.
The narrative pacing is a mess, with scenes stitched together in a way that feels jarring and incoherent. While a few dialogues manage to land, most are dull and forgettable. The background score by Ghibran is another letdown-it fails to elevate any scene and is often misplaced. The songs, especially "Marhaba," felt completely out of place, especially in a romantic context.
On the performance front, Sidharth's portrayal of Vasu is disappointing. Despite his years in the industry, his expressions remain stale and lifeless. Ashika, as the female lead, fares better and brings a touch of sincerity to her role. Balasaravanan, Lollu Sabha Maran, and Karunakaran provide occasional laughs but don't leave much of an impression. The negative characters feel completely unnecessary and add no value to the story.
If you're curious about the film, skip to the last 6-7 minutes. That's all you really need to see. Save yourself the other 120 minutes-it's not worth the time.
Verdict: Strictly Avoidable (but hey, it's still better than Indian 2! 😄)

"Miss U" is a breezy family entertainer that offers a refreshing take on relationships and emotions, coupled with a new and engaging story. What makes this movie stand out is the art of narration, which is so well done that it keeps the audience invested throughout. The film strikes a fine balance between humor, emotions, and a realistic conclusion, leaving the audience satisfied yet contemplative.
The performances of the cast are one of the film's major highlights. Every actor brought their characters to life with authenticity, and there was no overacting or exaggeration, which often derails similar narratives. Their performances enhanced the relatability of the story, making it an enjoyable experience for audiences of all age groups.
The editing, art direction, and photography deserve special applause. The attention to detail in capturing emotions and setting the scenes is evident throughout the film. From the vibrant tones to the nuanced lighting, the visuals align beautifully with the story's emotional core. These technical aspects contribute significantly to the film's appeal and keep the viewers immersed.
One of the strongest elements of "Miss U" is the humor. Karunakaran's humor stands out as timely and effective, providing moments of genuine laughter that feel organic to the narrative.
The film does, however, have areas where it could improve. Dance choreography, for instance, falls short of expectations. In most dance sequences, it's unclear why the protagonist often expresses a weird disgust on his face, which feels out of place and detracts from the overall impact of the performances.
Towards the climax, another issue surfaces with the background score (BGM). While the music is powerful and engaging in its own right, it occasionally overpowers the dialogues, especially towards the end. This disrupts the flow of some crucial emotional moments, where clarity in dialogue is essential. Striking a better balance between BGM and dialogue could have further elevated the movie's impact.
Despite these minor drawbacks, "Miss U" manages to win over the audience with its heartwarming storytelling. The realistic ending stands as a testament to the maturity of the narrative, steering clear of overly dramatic or clichéd conclusions. It's refreshing to see a story that feels grounded while still carrying the emotional weight expected from a family entertainer.
The team's hard work and dedication shine through, making it a thoroughly enjoyable watch. Kudos to 7MPS for delivering a memorable film! Wishing the team more and more success in the future. Definitely a hit in the making!

Good - I liked the story line and the humour portions were good. Sidharth's acting was genuine. The Director has avoided melodrama in quite a few places (even though the opportunity was there). Most importantly, I liked the fact that a climax fight scene has been avoided
Can be better - heroine's acting was ok. Quite a few scenes were just convenient - especially that marriage album.
Ugly - the friendship between the hero and Karunakaran is unbelievable. Even though some songs were good, quite a few of them were not needed. In second half we are able to predict as to what is going to happen next!!
Overall a nice film, and worth the watch. Not sure why it didn't run so well.
