In “Back in Action,” a domestic spy caper as generic as its title, Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, as CIA operatives who’ve become a romantic couple, attend a kids’ birthday party thrown by a cyberterrorist from Belarus whose safe they’re planning to break into. But their identities are unmasked in about five minutes. They have to fight their way out of the criminal’s mansion, which they do in an extended sequence of bone-breaking face-offs, all accompanied by Frank Sinatra singing “L.O.V.E.” (“L…is for the way you look… at me…”). The song, as it’s used here, lays on the ironic jauntiness with a trowel. It’s the film’s way of saying: Nothing’s at stake, don’t take it seriously, turn off your brain and sink into the warm bath of this Netflix product-of the-week (because that’s all it’s here for).

After 10 years away from any kind of film or TV set, Cameron Diaz is officially, well, back in action with her new film “Back in Action.”

Now streaming on Netflix, the film centers on Emily and Matt, two CIA operatives who learn they’re having a baby together. Shortly thereafter, their plane home is compromised and crashes, giving them the opportunity to fake their deaths and go off the grid to raise their family as civilians.

Starting on September 26, all shows will take place at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. The last show will take place on March 9, 2025.

Garth Brooks has taken his country music to Las Vegas and isn’t going anywhere else any time soon.

Back in May, the “Friends in Low Places” singer began his concert residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and will be there until December 16. He’ll be taking a break for a few months after but is scheduled to return to the Colosseum on April 18 next year.

HBO’s new series The Last of Us premiered to the approval of fans of the video game and viewers who are new to the franchise. Though the thrilling story has just begun, the first episode established the importance of the soundtrack in setting the mood for the post-apocalyptic world.

The Last of Us episode 7, "Left Behind," will introduce Storm Reid's Riley, and viewers aren't ready for her story. The Last of Us episode 6, "Kin," sees Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) be attacked at the University of Eastern Colorado. The pair escape, but Joel is mortally wounded. The trailer for The Last of Us episode 7 promises that it will delve into Ellie's backstory by adapting the video game's Dlc, The Last of Us: Left Behind. The expansion switches back and forth between the story of Ellie trying to find medical supplies to help Joel, and the story of her past before she even met him.

In this second story, set three weeks before the beginning of The Last of Us, Ellie spends time with her friend Riley at an abandoned mall in Boston.

After four long years, Beyoncé made a triumphant return to the stage on Saturday, Jan. 21, for the grand reveal of Dubai's newest hotel, Atlantis The Royal, where Popsugar was on hand. "Welcome, everybody. I feel so honored to be here," she told the crowd.

The 41-year-old superstar transformed the resort into her very own concert venue, kicking off her performance with a soulful rendition of Etta James's "At Last" before diving into a medley of her greatest hits, including "Xo," "Halo," "Beautiful Liar," "Crazy in Love," "Naughty Girl," and "Drunk in Love."

The singer, who released her song Dangerous last week, has been busy on social media promoting her work.

She added some emojis to the selfie, including a bar of soap, a shower head, a sponge, and a bathtub.

Madison took the photo from the side, revealing her profile view and wet hair.

The natural beauty appeared bare-faced, without accessories, and wearing only a white towel.

She parted her lips slightly as she posed for the camera.

Behind Madison were dark tiled walls, which were wet, showing she actually did take a shower.

Mable John, who recorded for Motown and Stax and later worked with Ray Charles, died Aug. 25 at her home in Los Angeles. Her nephew, Kevin John, confirmed the death, but did not give a cause. She was 91.

“We loved her and she was a kind person,” Kevin John said of his aunt, the older sister of R&b star Little Willie John.

John had a rich career in music. She was the first solo female artist signed to Motown (then Tamla Records) by Berry Gordy Jr. and recorded the songs “Who Wouldn’t Love A Man Like That,” “Actions Speak Louder Than Words,” “No Love,” “Looking for a Man,” and “Take Me,” the latter with background harmonies by The Temptations.

John left Motown in the mid-1960s to join Memphis label Stax Records. There she teamed with the songwriting team of Isaac Hayes and David Porter for her 1966 hit “Your...

Mable John, the first female solo artist signed to Motown (then Tamla) Records, a Stax singer and longtime Ray Charles collaborator, has died at the age of 91.

John died Thursday at her home in Los Angeles; no cause of death was revealed. “We loved her and she was a kind person,” her nephew Kevin John told the Detroit News.
