Earlier this year, Disney released Prom Pact on Disney+ and audiences quickly noticed the inclusion of some very creepy digital extras that look like Sims characters. Flash forward a few months, and SAG-AFTRA has gone on strike, with one of their biggest beefs having to do with studios taking digital scans of actors to use however they see fit until the end of time.
Those creepy digital extras that Disney included in Prom Pact have gone viral once again, with SAG-AFTRA supporters using it as an example of what they’re fighting against.
Bob Iger would rather insert digital scans of background actors than paying actors their fair wage! #SAGAFTRAStrong https://t.co/NF4zX7acl5 pic.twitter.com/f8tKeHgdCv

One of the most endearing cartoons for kids who grew up in the 90s is Nickelodeon’s Doug. Doug is like an animated version of The Wonder Years, where our timid but well-intentioned teenage protagonist, Doug Funnie, journeys through his high school development years with his unique family, his best buddy, Skeeter Valentine and his dog, Porkchop. Doug also has his high school crush, Patti Mayonnaise, whom he constantly tries to impress. And of course, no high school experience would be complete without a bully. Doug has the misfortune of getting consistently targeted by Roger Klotz.
As a laundry list of past shows get revivals, Cbr.com reports that the show’s creator, Jim Jenkins, has revealed his ideas for a sequel series in an interview on YouTube with Tenn Buick. Jenkins explains, “Here’s what I wish would happen. Doug turns 33 years old [this year], something like that, so if you think about that,...

The classic animated series Doug is getting a sequel update, with creator Jim Jenkins revealing potential concept art for the project. The revival, titled Doug Kids, would feature the adult versions of Doug, Patti, Skeeter, and Roger, as well as Doug's two children and a puppy. The sequel is still in the early stages of development and has received approval from Disney, who has the rights to Doug.
The classic animated series Doug gets a sequel update from creator Jim Jenkins, who also reveals potential concept art in a new video. Debuting in 1991 and ending in 1999, Doug encompassed the entire decade. It follows the titular character, Douglas "Doug" Funnie (originally voiced by Billy West), as he attends school in his new hometown of Bluffington. The show also explored Dog's crush on Patti Mayonnaise (Constance Shulman) and dealt with coming-of-age concerns like bullying and self-doubt. It was a defining show for Nickelodeon,...

A rookie Super Bowl advertiser aims to do this year what even a veteran might find challenging: Get people talking about technology they may never have known affects them every day.
Workday has a clever concept that it hopes will make people more aware of the software it licenses to corporations that helps manage finances and human resources. In a minute-long spot slated to air during the third-quarter, Joan Jett, Ozzy Osbourne and Gary Clark Jr. will be among the colorful musicians touting its wares.
Executives hope the surprise of seeing the rockers calling attention to workforce management will be enough to get football fans talking about “being a rock star” on the Monday morning following the game, says Pete Schlampp, the company’s chief marketing officer.
With Fox seeking between 6 million and 7 million for a 30-second ad berth, an investment in Super Bowl advertising isn’t to be made lightly.
