We recently speculated that Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock will get a new costume in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, and that's been confirmed by a newly revealed set video.

The Man Without Fear is shown emerging from the water wearing a black suit that's likely based on what the hero wore during his "Shadowland" era (he also donned a black suit with red accents during Charles Soule's Daredevil run).

This isn't the clearest shot in the world but those who were able to snap photos from afar have confirmed the costume doesn't appear to feature the "Dd" logo. At this rate, we're either never getting that or it's being saved for Daredevil's next era once he's dealt with Mayor Wilson Fisk.

The third episode of Daredevil: Born Again teased the idea of Matt having multiple costumes, including a black cowl we're assuming is what he's wearing here.

In this past Wednesday's episode of Daredevil: Born Again, we were finally introduced to Muse. His artwork has been spotted around New York City on several occasions throughout the series, but the villain has finally stepped out of the shadows.

While this take on him appears to differ from his comic book counterpart (in the sense that he no longer has superpowers or a penchant for staging gory crime scenes), the McU's Muse is still killing people and finding a unique use for their blood.

Talking to TV Line, Daredevil: Born Again episodes 4 and 5 director David Boyd confirmed the character has been "kidnapping and murdering people, draining their blood and making murals all over New York City."

As you can see in the X post below, a startled Cherry is knocked to the ground after taking a blow to the head from a baton. The cop in question, believed to be Hamish Allan-Headley's Officer Powell, proceeds to beat him over the head four times. While Cherry could just be badly injured, this looks more like a murder to us.

Cameras have been rolling on the second seasoon of Marvel's Darededvil: Born Again for a few weeks at this stage, and while we haven't seen anything too spoiler-y so far, the set photos being shared online are starting to get a little more revealing.

These latest set snaps reveal that Annie Parisse has joined the cast for season 2, and it looks like her character is going to find herself on Mayor Wilson Fisk's bad side.

Though we have no idea if Parisse will play an established Marvel Comics character, these photos show her being detained by the Kingpin's anti-vigilante task force (The Avtf). This week's episode of Daredevil: Born Again begins with the aftermath of Hector Ayala's tragic murder, as Matt Murdock drops by the morgue to retrieve his client's belongings - including the White Tiger costume and amulet.

Though we never actually see it in action, Murdock mentions that this amulet imbues Hector with "great strength and speed" during the trial in episode 3. Hector Ayala may be gone, but that doesn't mean the White Tiger won't live again.

In "Sic Semper Systema," Matt consoles Hector's niece Angela del Toro (Camila Rodriguez), who dons the White Tiger mantle in the comics. There is a suggestion that "someone" will ultimately take up Hector's cause and find out who killed him during Matt and Angela's conversation, but director Jeffrey Nachmanoff has now revealed that the episode originally included a much more obvious hint that Angela will continue in her uncle's footsteps.

Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) made his official MCU debut last night during episode 4 of Daredevil: Born Again, and even though the character only showed up for one scene, he certainly left a lasting impression.

Their reunion is as confrontational as you'd expect, as Castle attempts to get Murdock to admit that he wanted to - and should have - ended Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye's life as vengeance for the murder of Foggy Nelson.

Yesterday evening's episode of Daredevil: Born Again delivered one of the show's best moments yet when Matt Murdock reunited with Frank Castle. The MCU versions of these characters have formed an uneasy alliance and seemed almost friendly...when punches weren't being thrown, of course.

It's no secret at this point that the series went through some huge changes during its "creative overhaul" and it sounds like The Punisher's role was chief among them. 

According to @MyTimeToShineH, Jon Bernthal's return was originally meant to happen in episode 5 but was brought forward to this instalment. It's unclear how much, if any, of the actor's scenes were pre-overhaul but the scooper says Adr added the word "Bullseye" - the first time Dex has been referred to by the moniker - and new shots of Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock. 

It's hard to fathom a version of Daredevil: Born Again without The Punisher,...

Daredevil: Born Again debuted to positive reviews earlier this month and, following yesterday evening's stellar episode, the show's Rotten Tomatoes score has once again increased. 

"Sic Semper Systema" featured the return of Jon Bernthal as The Punisher along with Muse's haunting debut and, with reviews for this specific episode uploaded overnight, the score has increased from 84% to 86%. 

It's an admittedly small difference, albeit one that pushes Daredevil: Born Again closer to being one of Marvel Studios' most critically acclaimed Disney+ TV shows.

The studio needed a win after Captain America: Brave New World as that drew mostly mixed-to-negative reviews when it opened in theaters last month. That was a disappointment for Marvel Studios, especially as Deadpool & Wolverine, Agatha All Along, and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man were widely praised.

Jon Bernthal made his long-awaited return as Frank Castle during tonight's episode of Daredevil: Born Again, but it seems The Punisher wasn't going to be a part of the original version of the Disney+ series - because the actor had decided to walk away!

During an interview with EW, Bernthal spoke about reprising the role after playing the volatile vigilante in two seasons of the Netflix series and his own Punisher spin-off show.

"It was like, Let's see if this works. Let's see if there's a real openness and a hunger to let Frank be what Frank is, which is dark enough to have the courage and the boldness to turn your back on the audience and to make it difficult, to make it enormously psychologically complex and to steer away from any cuteness or humor and to really go full bore."

Murdock seemed fairly certain that Frank didn't actually kill White Tiger, but he had an ulterior motive for tracking down the ruthless vigilante, which Castle senses almost immediately. Matt isn't quite prepared to allow vengeance to consume him entirely and become like The Punisher... but he may only need a little push.

Castle only appears in one scene, but it's by far the highlight of the episode, and we already know...

Looking to the comic books for clues, it seems likely that the Kingpin of Crime has successfully outlawed vigilantes in New York and is now encouraging people to report any masked do-gooders they see in action. Daredevil: Born Again has begun production in New York and, depending on how much of the city Marvel Studio intends to shoot in, keeping spoilers under wraps could be easier said than done. 

The cast was reportedly filming interior scenes yesterday but several vans were spotted on set seemingly revealing the names of the characters who were part of that. Among them were "Mr. Charles" (likely Daredevil actor Charlie Cox), "Bb Urich" (Genneya Walton), Heather (Margarita Levieva), and "Stunt Muse."

Unless it's a codename for another character, that's presumably a reference to a stuntperson who was on set suited up as the villainous Muse. We've yet to meet the villain in Daredevil: Born Again, though he was set to be the show's big bad before the creative overhaul. 

In the comics, Muse was a mysterious, deranged artist whose artwork was created using the blood from over a hundred different missing people he'd murdered.

Is it possible we've been looking back at the Netflix "Daredevil" series through rose-tinted glasses? Controversial, I know. I'll acquit myself of these charges, natch, since I was never all that high on it in the first place; I originally tapped out on the series after season 1 and only went back to do a proper marathon in the lead up to "Born Again." The third episode of Daredevil: Born Again is now streaming on Disney+, and "The Hollow of his Hand" culminated with another shocking death and a Punisher tease which could indicate that Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) has finally crossed the line from violent vigilante to full-on villain.

Episode 2 concluded with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) getting the confidential informant that was being roughed-up on the subway platform, Nicky Torres, to safety just seconds before the cops arrive. After being assaulted by the officers, Matt's old instincts kicked in and he left both men broken and battered, but still breathing.

Murdock convinces Torres to testify, while Cherry manages to keep him alive en route to court.

Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) has always been a complex guy, as befits a devil who's playing for the side of the angels. The character's first headliner gig in the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to lean heavily into this characterization, depicting his charm, smarts, guilt, and determination with equal gusto. However, when Matt deals with the Hector Ayala murder case with the best intentions at heart, one particular call he makes ends up becoming one of the most stellar MCU examples of sheer moral ambiguity.

Though there have been conflicting reports on exactly how different Daredevil: Born Again would have been prior to the major creative overhaul, we know that some big changes were made to bring the Disney+ series more in line with the original Netflix Daredevil show.

Stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio have indicated that they played a part in convincing Marvel Television that making a fourth season (for all intents and purposes) was the right move, and Michael Cuesta - who directed episodes 2 and 3 as well as the original pilot - has now shared some intriguing new details.

Apparently, episodes 2 and 3 were the original pilot.

Cuesta's full interview with Phase Hero doesn't go live until after tonight's episode, but this would obviously suggest that the events of the first episode of Born Again - Foggy's death, that Bullseye fight sequence, the sit-down between Murdock and Fisk - were not going to be depicted.

With only two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again streaming on Disney+ as we write this, Marvel Studios finds itself in something of a unique predicament. Why? Well, production has already begun on season 2.

As we first reported earlier today, set photos have started finding their way online and it's surely only a matter of time before the cast is spotted and we get some major spoilers. Those of you who remember the series shooting in New York the first time around will have seen several big moments in advance, including a certain character's demise.

We'll see if any similarly big reveals drop in the coming weeks, but for now, we have a first proper look at Mayor Wilson Fisk's Anti-Vigilante Task Force. They were first spotted when cameras were rolling on season 1, but the villain's personal army has seemingly received some big upgrades and now look to be decked out in Punisher-inspired armour.

The series premiere of Daredevil: Born Again saw Matt Murdock meet a new love-interest (Margarita Levieva's Heather Glenn), and things seemed to be going pretty well for the pair in episode 2... although there was the somewhat ominous reveal that Wilson and Vanessa Fisk had enlisted Heather's services for couples therapy.

Was this simply a coincidence, or is the Kingpin taking precautions in case Murdock decides to let the Devil loose again?

For some context, sci-fi drama Paradise drew 7 million views across its first nine days of streaming on Hulu and Disney+ earlier this year, while previous MCU Disney+ series, Agatha All Along, drew between 3 and 5 million views at different points in its run late last year.

Disney does not regularly release viewership information about its streaming shows, so exact comparisons are difficult. But for some context, it was previously reported that the Sterling K. Brown drama “Paradise” drew 7 million views across its first nine days of streaming on Hulu and Disney+ earlier this year. The first episode of fellow Marvel show “Agatha All Along” hit 9.3 million views in its first week of availability in September 2024.

We're sure the majority of you have watched the first two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again at this stage, but just in case, major spoilers follow.

Ahead of tomorrow's third episode, Marvel Television has released some clips from a roundtable chat with the show's executive producer Sana Amanat and main cast members Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elden Henson.

In the video, the group discusses some of the major plot points from the two-episode premiere, and as you might expect, the tragic death of Henson's character, Foggy Nelson, at the hands of the twisted assassin known as Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) gets most of the focus.

Amanat asks Henson what he'd say to Foggy's devastated fans, and the actor simply responds that killing him off was "not my idea." The actor goes on to say that he feels lucky to have been able to play Nelson...

Daredevil: Born Again was always going to kill Foggy Nelson. The creative overhaul just made it so that the lawyer died on-camera rather than off-screen, the correct decision by Marvel Studios and showrunner Dario Scardapane.

After Foggy is gunned down by the returning Bullseye, Matt listens as his best friend's heartbeat slows and eventually stops. A one-year time jump later confirms that Foggy died from his wounds, though many believe he could somehow return, especially as Elden Henson is set to return in season 2.

Appearing at a fan convention over the weekend, the Daredevil star broke his silence on Foggy's tragic end. As you can see in the X posts at the bottom of this page, Henson was apologetic for allowing fans to think he has more than a few minutes of screentime in the show.

Daredevil: Born Again's third episode will be released on Disney+ this Tuesday but with cameras already rolling on season 2, many fans are already eager to learn what those 8 episodes hold in store for the Man Without Fear.

The Cosmic Circus has shared a handful of updates today, including plans for the Defenders. As the site's Alex Perez posits, "It will be interesting to see how that plays out in the second season, and how Matt will convince them to step out of the shadows after what happens in season 1."

That's likely a reference to Mayor Wilson Fisk's plan to clamp down on vigilantes roaming the Big Apple. This presumably means Marvel Studios has convinced Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), and Finn Jones (Iron Fist) to reprise their respective Netflix roles.

Jon Bernthal first played Frank Castle in Daredevil season 2 and, while his character's origin story was somewhat convoluted, The Walking Dead alum's interpretation of The Punisher resonated with fans in a big way.

A spin-off followed, though it only lasted two seasons before the launch of Disney+ saw Netflix pull the plug on it and every other Marvel Television series it hosted.

Bernthal has since reprised arguably his most iconic role in Daredevil: Born Again. While he's only expected to appear in a few episodes, the actor will likely have more to do when season 2 arrives next year and is confirmed to take centre stage in a Special Presentation he's writing with director Reinaldo Marcus Green.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, that will air in 2026 alongside Daredevil: Born Again and, at the SXSW premiere of his new movie The Accountant 2, Bernthal shared some insights into what fans can expect.

We get to spend just enough time with these close friends to make the looming "traumatic event" even more devastating when it arrives.

Benjamin "Dex" Poindexter, aka Bullseye (Wilson Bethel), orchestrates a plan to lure Daredevil away so that he can target those closest to him, and - as many predicted after those revealing set photos - this results in the death of a beloved character from the original Netflix series.

Foggy Nelson is shot through the chest and ultimately bleeds out in Karen's arms.
