- The first time she saw Stan Laurel was when he was doing a funny act called 'The Burglar'. She took to him straight away going to see his act whenever he did it and eventually became great friends with him and his wife.

- Plump silent screen comedienne, who alternated film work with appearances in vaudeville. From 1919, acted in one and two-reel comedies for Vitagraph, Al Christie and Educational, often opposite big-name stars like Stan Laurel, Lloyd Hamilton and Harry Langdon. More frequently seen in motion pictures by the mid-1920's. After retiring as an actress, she painted a series of portraits of the great silent stars in oil on canvas , entitled 'The Vanishing Era', which are located at the University of Wyoming.
