- Shelly Manne was born on June 11, 1920 in New York City, New York, USA. He was an actor and composer, known for Touch of Evil (1958), Porgy and Bess (1959) and One from the Heart: Reprise (1981). He was married to Florence Butterfield. He died on September 26, 1984 in Sun Valley, California, USA.
