Prime Video has announced that the two-part documentary special Octopus! will premiere on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

The special, executive produced by Emmy Award-winning actress and writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is co-produced by Academy Award-winning Jigsaw Productions and Waller-Bridge’s banner Wells Street Films.

Octopus! will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The documentary, narrated by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, transports viewers into the otherworldly depths of one of the most intelligent and mysterious life forms on Earth as it follows the Giant Pacific Octopus from birth to death.

The documentary features an eclectic mix of characters who have their unique connections to these creatures, from the scientist trying to save them, the explorer trying to understand them to the Emmy-nominated actor and comedian Tracy Morgan, who is obsessed with them.

The incident happened as Morgan is working on his untitled NBC comedy pilot from Tina Fey, Robert Carlock and Sam Means. The project, which is filming in New York, had its table read Friday. NBC has given out a pilot order to the single-cam project “Stumble.”

The show is described as “A mockumentary about the ridiculously high stakes competitive world of junior college cheer.” The project was originally set up with a put pilot commitment at NBC in late 2024.

Jeff Astrof and Liz Astrof are writing and executive producing the pilot. Dana Honor is executive producing via Defining Eve Productions, with cheerleading coach Monica Aldama also executive producing. Universal Television is the studio.

Both Jeff and Liz Astrof, who are brother and sister, are veteran comedy writers and producers, but this marks the first time they have teamed up to create a series.

Jeff recently created the Starz series “Shining Vale” and previously co-created the NBC mockumentary series “Trial & Error.” His other credits include “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” “Grounded for Life,” and “Friends.”

Exclusive: NBC has given a pilot order to Stumble, a single-camera comedy from writers/executive producers Liz Astrof (Pivoting) and Jeff Astrof (Shining Vale) and executive producers Monica Aldama and Dana Honor.

As Deadline reported earlier this month, the cheerleading half-hour had been among two comedies heating up for a pilot order at NBC. The other, a single-camera headlined by Tracy Morgan from Tina Fey, Robert Carlock and Sam Means, was picked up to pilot last week.

Stumble is a mockumentary about the ridiculously high stakes and competitive world of junior college cheer.

Daniel Radcliffe is teaming up with Tracy Morgan!

The 35-year-old Harry Potter star has joined the cast of NBC’s upcoming comedy pilot starring the 56-year-old 30 Rock actor from Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, and writer Sam Means. As of right now, the pilot is still untitled.

Written by Carlock and Means, the new comedy stars Tracy as a disgraced former football player on a mission to repair his image, according to Deadline.

Last summer, Radcliffe took home a Tony Award for his performance in the acclaimed Broadway revival of the Stephen Sondheim musical “Merrily We Roll Along.
